Hello,
Does anyone know a league that makes you field a certain number of players from your home nation every game?
Closest I have found is Sweden which makes you field 9 players trained by a club in Sweden.

I think the Israeli league is pretty restrictive, since Israel is not part of EU.
Turkish league would be another, although players from Turkic countries are exempt.

Might go in Sweden.
Is it possible to set these rules in existing nations?
I think you can change the rules with the pre game editor
Malaysia is a league where you can only play Malaysian nationals![]()
In Belarusian second tier you must register no more than 0 foreign players![]()
The A-League in Australia - you can have a maximum of 5 foreign players. Also, there's a salary cap and no promotion/relegation.
The MLS is pretty restrictive on foreign players. Also Played a Belrusian game on 2007 and found you can only select 3 non former USSR players, nice and tricky.
Alternatively you could use the editor to add the rules into a bigger league... ;-)
Play England, and change the rules so they have to field 100% British players - that'd be a giggle.
Pretty much every nation outside the EU will have foreigner-limits, such as Russia, Ukraine and then Brazil in South America from my own experience. Then some countries like Russia make you field X amount of Russians, i think it was around 5 Russians in the first 11.
Thanks everyone! How difficult would it be to introduce a '3 foreigners' rule for Belgium in the editor?
Does anyone know how to do it?
Singapore allows a maximum of 4 foreign players in the team.
In most leagues you'll notice a limitation on the number of non-EU players you can either register or use for your match squad but that still allows for very much leeway. The most restrictive rules exist in Russia and Turkey followed by Ukraine as far as I know - both former countries' top leagues require you to use no more than 6 foreign players in their first 11 while Ukraine allows 7 players. I don't know anything about countries outside of Europe so I have no idea about that.
Or you can take over Chivas Guadalaraja in Mexico, were you can only sign mexican players.
A bit like Ath. Bilbao in Spain.
GL
Indonesia requires you to play only Indonesian's in the first and premier divisions, you can play 3 foreigners in the cup but as you can't sign them until you're in the super league it's irrelevant
