If you get sacked do you get a pay off?

I know it doesn't really matter that much but if any of us were sacked from a big club and we were on a big contract, would we get a big pay off that goes into our career earnings stat?

Interesting question although I doubt it. Normally if this happens, you are too busy getting another job or starting again to worry about it.

I've never thought about that, but on FM10 did a challenge with a mate where the finishing line was the first manager to have earnt £1m career earnings, by any route, after starting in English League 2 teams. Pay-off of remainder of Contract would have been very handy, but never even considered that route.

You'd have to get sacked though; you wouldn't get paid off for resigning.

Don't we only get a one year contract when starting the game? If so then the contract will not pay off that much if sacked during the first season.
