Uhm... He is unambitious? Isn't that a big problem?

Not for this career, it's not - means he's more likely to be willing to stay at Tord instead of wanting a move to a bigger club.

Never thought about it that way. Being unambitious shouldn't mean that you wouldn't like a bigger contract, no? I always thought it had a large influence how he develops: Unambitious = won't improve much?

well that can be true but he is very proffesional and that i believe contributes to player growth along with determination and ambition so lacking one will mean he will still progress.

and hrbfcrule great career mate keep it going

He looks fantastic, you just need to focus training on his quickness in my opinion.

Due to the smaller leagues in Sweden it's almost impossible for him to reach 1000 appearances. Anything above 800 appearances would be incredible but that also depends on his susceptibility to injury.

For the preseason I've decided to just let my assistant sort it all out so continue to expect much better results in preseason.

When I saw he was unambitious I looked at it in the same way as Biscotti, that he wouldn't want to move to a bigger club. Although there could be some truth in what you are saying. I have 2 other unambitious players Stefan Hedlund (YP64) and Jonas Andersson (YP49). They are both good players but in my opinion neither of them reached their full potential.

I hope the_greyham is right and that his determination and proffessionalism will help him reach his potential

Yep I agree, I've focused his training already

Swedish Super Cup: Tord 2-1 GAIS
A decent 1st half display was enough to win the cup. We weren't playing our best but we were unusually clinical. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) and Adam Karlsson (YP65) scored within 5 mins of each other to give us a healthy 2 goal lead going into the break. GAIS played much better in the 2nd half but struggled to break us down. They were restricted to long shots which were mostly harmless except for one which arrowed into the top corner in the 77th min. Fortunately we held on to claim our 1st Swedish Super Cup win in 6 years and our 3rd overall.

    League: Tord 3-3 AIK
A brilliant game for the neutral and a perfect example of the saying "you're at your must vulnerable when you've just scored." 3 times we took the lead only to be pegged back all 3 times within a few mins of scoring. We were ahead for a total of 8 mins of the match despite taking the lead 3 times. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) scored our 1st in the 9th min, a lead which lasted less than a minute. The game then went quiet until the last quarter of an hour. Adam Karlsson (YP65) got his 2nd in as many games to make it 2-1. We then held this lead for a whopping 6 mins. Magnus Kjellman (YP45) then netted our 3rd in the 86th min to surely give us the win. But no they scored within 2 mins to scrape a point.

    League: Atvidaberg 0-1 Tord
    Jonas Andersson (YP49)
got the only goal of the game as we laboured to a 1-0 win. Still not playing our best football and our strikers have yet to find form. Typical after last season when I was spoilt for choice over who to put in those 2 positions.

    League: Helsingborg 1-2 Tord
We were uncredibly lucky to come away with all 3 points. Helsingborg dominated but couldn't finish and we came in with just a single shot on target and scored twice. We took the lead through an own goal before Eddie Rubin (YP72) finally opened his account for the season to make it 2. They got 1 back in the 2nd half but we defended well to preserve our lead.

    League: Tord 2-0 IFK Goteborg
Finally a fairly decent performance. Well we started well then kind of lost concentration in the 2nd half. Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) both scored inside the 1st 15 mins. After that we just sat back and refused to get any more much to my annoyance. We were lucky not to concede any as we seemed to invite them to attack us.

    League: Orebro 1-2 Tord
Another brace in the 1st half followed by an hour of sitting back. That's the 4th time already we've done that this season and somehow it hasn't cost us yet. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) opened the scoring then Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) scored his 1st for the club after already providing 4 assists. Orebro got a consolation in the 80th min but they could have easily had an equaliser.

    League: Tord 2-1 Umea FC
It looks like we need to fall behind before we buck our ideas up and play well . Umea scored against the run of play in the 10th min. Their best hope was clearly going to be defending for their life to hold their 1 goal advantage. Luckily Axel Nordgren (YP71) had put on his good boots today as he was clinical. He scored from both his half chances in the 2nd half to turn the match around in our favour. We are still yet to play at our best yet we are still winning. The sign of champions? Well Man Utd seem to do it week in week out.

Good to come back to the kings of Sweden! and to what can be considered the best potential from the youth facilities.

Looking solid already, and at only 17, the only way is up. Let's hope no one tries to pry him away from our beloved Tord!

They got to the 1st Knockout Round where they drew 1-1 to Dynamo Kyiv at home before losing 2-0 away to go out 3-1 on aggregate.

    League: Tord 0-0 Mjallby
We are really struggling to get going this season. A main factor could be the numerous amount of injuries to our better players including Eddie Rubin (YP72). We were clearly missing last season's top scorer here as we failed to cut through Mjallby's solid defence.

    League: Hammarby Fotboll 0-1 Tord
We seem to be faring much better away from home as a Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) strike gave us a 4th consecutive away win.

Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord 2-1 Ramlosa Sodra
A kind draw for us despite it being against Premier League opposition. A reasonably comfortable win as I rested most of the 1st team. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) headed us into the lead in the 1st half. Phillip Nilsson (YP70) doubled our lead from the spot midway through the 2nd half before Ramlosa got a consolation in the 90th min.

    League: GAIS 1-1 Tord
Another disappointing performance. We conceded in the 2nd min but Axel Nordgren (YP71) saved us a point in the 92nd min. No hiding the fact that this was a dismal display.

    League: Tord 1-2 Malmo FF
It was coming, our 1st home league loss in 35 matches and deserved to lose. It was still a better performance than most of our matches this season but not good enough to beat one of the top Swedish clubs. They took the lead early on before Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) deservedly equalised in 1st half injury time. They then went on to dominate us in the 2nd half and eventually they got the winner.

    League: Assyriska 0-1 Tord
A great comeback to our 1st defeat of the season even if it is against a relegation favourite. How we only scored one is beyond me however we have now sufficiently scared any fan who was brave enough to sit behind the goal. The amount of shots we put over or just wide was incredible. Luckily Axel Nordgren (YP71) had already scored in the 13th min so we still got the 3 points. All 2nd half I was just waiting for their equaliser from a quick counter attack after our complete domination.

Now, had I been in control of Umea for that game... alright, fine... you'd have scored 6.

    League: Tord 3-0 Trelleborg
Our first convincing home win in a while. Axel Nordgren (YP71) was the star, he netted himself a hat-trick with the final goal coming in the 92nd min. He has been brilliant while Eddie Rubin (YP72) has been out.

    League: Oddevold 1-3 Tord
We struggled at the start of the match and eventually went behind in the 22nd min. The goal was what kicked us into action as 5 mins later we were level thanks to an own goal. Axel Nordgren (YP71) gave us the lead just before half time and in the 2nd half Erik Fahlman (YP74) wrapped things up from the penalty spot. Job done.

    League: Tord 3-0 Ramlosa Sodra
It was the Axel Nordgren (YP71) show again. This time he got a 5 minute hat trick late in the 1st half. His goals came in the 39th, 42nd and 44th min. He could have had a few more in the 2nd half as could a few of his team mates but the chances were wasted.

Confirmation of our 2nd place in the Champions League:

We won't have it in this upcoming Champions League. It will be in the next one. So 1st and 2nd place in the Swedish Premier Division this season will get a Champions League place.

Also if we (by which I mean Swedish teams) perform at the same standard as last season we could well have a team go straight into the group stage for the season after that.

Swedish Cup 4th Round: Hollviken 0-1 Tord
As expected, despite the gap in quality, this was a close game. Cup matches tend to do that. Axel Nordgren (YP71) prevented us from slipping up with another great display which he capped with a goal midway through the 1st half. We drew AIK in the next round so looks like our cup run is over. We haven't beaten AIK in any of the last 13 meetings between us and only twice in the last 27. Talk about bogey team.

    League: IK Sirius 3-2 Tord
A fantastic match for the neutral but not great for us as we lose to one of our main title challengers. Adam Karlsson (YP65) gave us the lead in the 42nd min after a pretty even 1st half. We then completely fell apart 2nd half conceding twice in 7 mins to go behind. Then they added a 3rd in the 76th min. When it looked like it was all over Axel Nordgren (YP71) popped up to put us right back into the game but we just couldn't find the equaliser as time slowly ran out.

    League: AIK 3-1 Tord
Not the ideal team we would have wanted to bounce back from a league defeat. Our winless streak against them continues to grow however it didn't look that way at half time as Axel Nordgren (YP71) had given us the lead on the half an hour mark. But just like the IK Sirius game we collapsed for no reason in the 2nd half, conceding twice in 4 mins before AIK sealed things off with a 3rd late on.

Champions League Champions 2nd Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 4-0 Grindavik
Despite the scoreline we didn't exactly have it all our own way this match. I changed practically the whole team from the one that lost the last 2 league games and it seemed to do the trick. The start was a bit dodgy as our visitors had the best of the early exchanges. We came into the match more as time went on but we had squandered a few chances. The 2nd half was a different story, we were the epitome of clinical. Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) netted a 7 min hat trick at the very start of the 2nd half. Stefan Zhubi (YP76) then added a 4th a few mins later. Grindavik continued to fight despite the effectiveness of our 15 mins of destruction and they could have quite easily had a couple of goals of their own if their strikers hadn't been competing with each other over who could do the best impression of Torres.

    League: IFK Goteborg 1-2 Tord
Back to winning ways in the league and a pretty good win at that. Despite Goteborg's lowly league position they are a decent team. Things got going in the 2nd half after the 1st half was absolutely terrible. Phillip Nilsson (YP70) put away a penalty that apparently shouldn't have been a penalty but hey we'll take what we are given. Goteborg got some luck at the other end to cancel that out though. They seemed to foul my player in the build up to their equaliser but the ref was having none of it. Then in the dying seconds when the game seemed to have petered out Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) tapped into an empty net after Eddie Rubin (YP72) had drawn the keeper out.

Champions League Champions 2nd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Grindavik (2) 2-3 (7) Tord
Judging by the way they played in the 1st leg I knew this was going to be a tough game and I wasn't really expecting us to win it. However we performed much better in this leg than the previous one. We started the better of the two teams and we really made it count as Stefan Zhubi (YP76) and Phillip Nilsson (YP70) gave us a 2-0 lead going into half time. Never content to do things the easy way we quickly conceded twice in the 1st 5 mins of the 2nd half. We were saved by Stefan Zhubi (YP76)'s 2nd of the match in the 68th min. We cruised to victory after that to draw Olimpi Rustavi in the next round.

    League: Tord 2-0 Atvidaberg
A good display all round, we scored a couple and stopped them even getting a shot on target. Eddie Rubin (YP72) scored his 1st goal since his return from injury to give us the lead before his Axel Nordgren (YP71) made it 2 after just 34 mins. We should have got a couple more but the 3 points is more important.

Champions League Champions 3rd Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 1-0 Olimpi Rustavi
A good draw for us but we failed to capitalise on the chances we created. Could this be our downfall in the 2nd leg? They were never in any danger of scoring against us but we missed at least 5 really good scoring opportunities and were only spared the blushes when Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) netted late in the 2nd half.

    League: Tord 1-0 Helsingborg
Lucky to come away with all 3 points here as Helsingborg more than gave us a match. Luckily we dug in while they continued to batter us then Eddie Rubin (YP72) hit them on the counter in the 83rd min to steal the win.

Champions League Champions 3rd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Olimpi Rustavi (0) 0-1 (2) Tord
It was a fairly even match up until they got a man sent off in the 37th min. That kind of killed it off a bit and if that didn't Oskar Svedberg (YP69)'s goal in the 67th min certainly did.

In the Euro Cup Malmo just about scraped past Hungarian team Gyor on away goals. Losing 3-1 away then winning 2-0 at home. GAIS comfortably dispatched Georgian team Spartaki Tskhinvali 9-1 on aggregate with 2 big wins. However after last season's heroics AIK drop out after facing Slavia Prague of the Czech Rep. They lost 3-1 away and could only manage a 1-1 draw at home.

    League: Tord 1-0 Orebro
Our 4th consecutive 1-0 but this one was definately the most comfortable. The amount of chances we missed was infuriating. Orebro didn't once trouble our goal or get anywhere near it. That should give you some indication of how badly we beat them. Yet we could only must a solitary goal and that was by Phillip Nilsson (YP70) in the 80th min.

Swedish Cup Quarter Final: Tord 0-3 AIK
Another loss against our bogey team and after one of our better performances against them. We outplayed them all 1st half but just like the past few matches we failed to take our chances. We would live to regret that as we collapsed midway through the 2nd half, conceding 3 in 6 mins from AIK's only 3 shots on target all game.

    League: Umea FC 1-1 Tord
Was initially going to be a tough game but it got even more difficult when Hakan Nielsson (YP47) saw red after 18 mins. Despite our man disadvantage Axel Nordgren (YP71) gave us the lead 10 mins later. We couldn't hold onto this as Umea upped the pressure throughout the 2nd half. They eventually scored in the 66th min and we were lucky they didn't go on to get a winner.

Champions League Champions Playoff 1st Leg: Tord 4-1 Gorica
We got a gift of a draw in the Playoff which was helped by the fact that we were seeded in the draw (10 teams, top 5 seeded, bottom 5 unseeded, so seeded plays unseeded). Gorica had seen very limited European action having only been in the Champions League once before and a handful in the Euro Cup. They had fallen at the 1st hurdle every time except this year where they had gone on quite a giant killing spree. However we were unmoved by this as Axel Nordgren (YP71) rattled up a 1st half hat trick, including a goal after just 35 seconds, before Oskar Svedberg (YP69) made it 4-0 in the 2nd half. Gorica got their away goal in the 90th min but at this rate it didn't look like it would matter.

    League: Tord 3-1 GAIS
No European hangover for us this time as we confidently pushed aside GAIS. Eddie Rubin (YP72) gave us the lead after just 10 mins and we continued to push all 1st half for a 2nd only for GAIS to suckerpunch us with an equaliser in injury time. We eventually got rewarded for our continuous pressure as firstly Axel Nordgren (YP71) and then Erik Johannesson (YP56) scored as we cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win.

Champions League Champions Playoff 2nd Leg: Gorica (4) 3-2 (6) Tord
It was an absolutely fantastic game, free flowing, end to end and action packed. Could have quite easily ended up 6 or 7 all if it weren't for some great keeping. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) scored in just the 9th min to really set the tone for the game. Gorica hit back 6 mins later before taking the lead in the 38th min. Eddie Rubin (YP72) made it 2 a piece minutes after half time and practically guaranteed us a place in the group stage nevertheless Gorica kept on fighting and got their reward 15 mins from time as they scored what would eventually be the winner. A great effort by the minnows but we have ended their dream.

It was not good news for other Swedish teams as they both got incredibly unlucky with their draws. Malmo drew Benfica and GAIS drew Sevilla. Both were comprehensively beaten 7-1 and 6-0 respectively.

    League: Mjallby 0-0 Tord
We were a bit sluggish as you would expect after so many games in a short space of time. The only major chance came in the 86th min and it fell to us but of course we missed it. A real chance to go joint top and a vital 2 points loss.

A tough group but then again there are no easy groups. All 3 teams we face are not great teams but are all very good. There is no really weak one so it would be tough to get points from any of these matches. Maybe a home point here and there if we are lucky.

Do I count well? Malmö FF and Sirius are yet to come, so basically it's in your hands if you beat both.

Cagliari seems like a surprise in there. Just like the lack of AC Milan, Juventus, Lazio, Udinese or even Genoa and Sampdoria.

The Italian league has been one of the more surprising. AC Milan have struggled for quite a while and normally they only manage a Europa League spot. Juventus have been in and out of the Champions League places but don't regularly challenge for the title. Lazio and Udinese have both become mid table teams along with Sampdoria. Genoa have occasionally got into the Europa League but they normally finish 8th-10th. This has left Roma and Napoli to fight it out for the title, Napoli especially have become a force winning the Serie A 11 times in this save although they have met their match in Roma who have now won the last 4.

It's going to be a tough group, Hoffenheim are 3rd and unbeaten in the Bundesliga, Marseille are 2nd in Ligue 1 and only just behind Lyon. Cagliari are the team we have the most chance against as they are struggling a bit in Serie A they are only 5th after a poor start.

I'd say the group could have been much more difficult, hopefully you can steal enough points and snatch 3rd place, thats the best case scenario I think.

    League: Tord 4-1 Hammarby Fotboll
    Axel Nordgren (YP71)
netted his 4th hat trick of the season as we destroyed Hammarby. Eddie Rubin (YP72) who has been outclassed by his strike partner this season got our 4th before Hammarby got a consolation.

Champions League Group D: Marseille 5-0 Tord
We were powerless to stop them. We started off okay conceding just the one in the 1st 40 mins but 2 in quick succession just before half time really could have opened the floodgates. They got a 4th in the 53rd min as it looked like we could be on for a cricket score. Thankfully, through a mixture of slightly better defending and poor finishing we held them at bay until the 92nd min when they added a 5th.

    League: Trelleborg 1-4 Tord
Another 4-1 win but this time Eddie Rubin (YP72) was the star of the show. He netted himself a hat trick as he looked to finally find the form he was in last season. He hasn't been bad this season but the early injury definitely slowed him down somewhat. Trelleborg got 1 back before Oskar Svedberg (YP69) finished them off with a 4th in the 77th min.

    League: Malmo 4-3 Tord
A great game but ultimately we still lost. Axel Nordgren (YP71) was quick off the mark to give us the lead inside a minute for the 2nd time this season. That didn't last long as Malmo were awarded a dubious penalty which they converted after 7 mins. Erik Johannesson (YP56) retook the lead for us with only a quarter of an hour gone but again we were pegged back. In the 2nd half it was our turn to go behind and quickly equalise. Erik Fahlman (YP74) scoring 6 mins after we went 3-2 down. Unfortunately with their last attack of the game they scored. Absolutely gutted, we deserved a point and were so close to getting it but for a last gasp winner.

Champions League Group D: Tord 0-1 Hoffenheim
So close to getting a point. Admittedly they were the better team but we had our moments. They got the winner in the 63rd min but we pushed them all the way as we searched for an equaliser. Disappointing as this was one of the few matches in this group we have a chance of getting something from.

    League: Tord 3-1 Assyriska
Another comfortable win despite Axel Nordgren (YP71) missing a 1st half penalty. He made amends a few mins later when he did eventually score. Assyriska shocked everyone when they equalised just before half time against the run of play. But Eddie Rubin (YP72) had a great 45 mins to make sure we didn't slip up as he netted twice to give us a 3-1 win. That Axel Nordgren (YP71) goal took him to 26 goals for the season overtaking Peter Jansson (YP33)'s record of 25 in 2031.

    League: Tord 3-1 Oddevold
Another 3-1 win and another Eddie Rubin (YP72) brace. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) added a 3rd in the 2nd half before the opposition scored a customary consolation goal.

Champions League Group D: Tord 2-4 Cagliari
There goes the only other match we could have got a point from. We were okay 1st half, Axel Nordgren (YP71)'s spot kick keeping us level at 1-1 going into half time. But we collasped 2nd half conceding 3 in quick succession. Eddie Rubin (YP72) then added a consolation in the 89th min.

    League: Ramlosa Sodra 1-3 Tord
Our 3rd consecutive 3-1 win in the league and we have now scored 20 in the last 6 league games
. Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Eddie Rubin (YP72) are responsible for 16 of those including the ones in this match. Axel Nordgren (YP71) bagged a brace as he beat Peter Jansson (YP33)'s record of 22 league goals in a season. Eddie Rubin (YP72) added a 3rd later on, his season really sparking into life even if it is a bit late.

So we need IK Sirius to slip up against AIK for us to have any chance of beating them to the title. Unfortuately IK Sirius have been on an incredible streak recently, winning 9 out of their last 10 games and winning their last 6.

Champions League Group D: Cagliari 4-0 Tord
A poor display although I did rest a few players in case IK Sirius slipped up against AIK. That match was being played at the same time as this one.

    League: Tord 3-1 IK Sirius
Well well well. We beat them and deservedly so. Axel Nordgren (YP71) showed why he was getting the golden boot this year as he netted twice in the 1st half to give us a healthy 2 goal advantage. IK Sirius pulled one back with 20 mins to go but Eddie Rubin (YP72) struck just 2 mins later to restore our 2 goal lead and eventually the win. Unfortunately IK Sirius did not slip up against AIK in fact they coasted past them. So despite the impressive win we lost out on the title by a solitary point. Not only that but we go into next season's Champions League in the "Best Placed" category. Considering we struggle as it is to qualify from the Champions section this isn't going to end well.

Champions League Group D: Tord 1-4 Marseille
For a brief few mins we were ahead after Axel Nordgren (YP71) won and converted a penalty in the 3rd min. This lead lasted approximately 3 mins before they levelled although we did hang on until they end of the 1st half before they took the lead. Surprisingly in the 2nd half we had the better chances and in the end we could have quite easily drawn the match had we finished our chances. As it is Marseille scored another 2 and we squandered our 3 glorious chances.

As well as getting the golden boot Axel Nordgren (YP71) also won goal of the season with this screamer against Assyriska:

End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2043

    League Table, League Graph
    Squad

We really struggled to start with, winning games but just the solitary goal and not looking comfortable at all but at least we were winning them. We settled down as the season went on mainly down to the partnership of Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Axel Nordgren (YP71) who look unstoppable together. Midway through the season we were in full flow only to be unceremoniously halted by succesive defeats to IK Sirius and AIK. We recovered extremely well as we won 11 of the remaining 14 games to give us a reallyy good chance of the title. However that defeat to IK Sirius proved costly as we missed out by a point. It didn't quite go down to the last day as IK Sirius beat AIK 3-2 a few days before to give them an unassialable 4 point lead going into the final match. We beat them which adds insult to injury for us but at least it shows we could have quite easily won the title had it been our day.

    Swedish Super Cup

We faced GAIS just like in the Swedish Cup final last year but with 1 difference: we were at home this time. We dispatched of them easily enough with 2 1st half goals to win it for the 1st time in 6 years.

    Swedish Cup

Another reasonable cup run although we were stopped by the 1st relatively strong opponent. We beat Ramlosa Sodra in the 3rd Round 2-1 reasonably comfortably. Next we got our 1st 3rd tier side or lower for almost 10 years. They came in the shape of Hollviken. We just about scraped past them 1-0, not as comfortable as we would have liked. Next up was AIK who we battered but still lost 3-0 thanks to 6 mins of disaster.

    Europe

    Fixtures

Back in the Champions League where we belong. We brushed aside Icelandic champions Grindavik 7-2 on aggregate before making a right meal out of Olimpi Rustavi. We dominated both legs but only scored 1 in each meaning they could have quite easily nicked it from us. Gorica lay in wait in the next round having had an incredible
run so far. Unfortunately for them that came to an abrupt halt as we thrashed them 4-1 at home before narrowly losing away in a thrilling game.

We got Hoffenheim, Cagliari and Marseille in the groups. We have then proceeded to be battered by them with the exception of the Hoffenheim game at home and the 2nd half of the Marseille game at home.

    Reserves/U19's

    Reserve League

    Finished 5th again, nothing special.

    U19 League

A much improved 2nd place finish and only just missed out on 1st by a point. Sounds familiar

    Youth Players (At the Club)

Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Continued to play most of the league games leaving the cup games to Joakim Hjelm (YP73) although towards the end of the season he did decline quite rapidly. 1 more season left in him?

Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Spent most of his time coming off the bench, still managed to add 1 goal to his tally.

Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Can't compete consistently with the other left backs in the squad. Injuries didn't help him either.

Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Just the 1 goal this season. I have a feeling he will retire at the end of his contract. I won't be offering him a new one anyhow.

Erik Mansson (YP50) - Consistently played right back but only because we have no one else. Suddenly, while I've been worrying about strikers for the past few seasons it seems all our defenders are ageing. Desperately need defenders in the next couple of intakes.

Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Another ageing defender, still played well and I expect him to for another few more seasons yet.

Viktor Andersson (YP53) - An average season but it doesn't look like he'll ever get back to his best, probably over the hill now.

Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Struggled this season, was another victim of consistent injuries.

Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Improved on last season but played a bit less as there is a lot of competition for midfield places.

Victor Lindgren (YP62) -Wants to leave as he is not playing as much as he wants but I just can't afford to let that happen. Besides he has been consistently good when he has played.

Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Same as last season. He doesn't play badly but he just doesn't excel.

Adam Karlsson (YP65) - Will be key in the coming years as our 1st choice centre back.

Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Didn't play much for obvious reasons. Didn't help his cause when he did play though.

Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - Another great season from the midfielder, assists and a handful goals what more could you ask for.

Oskar Svedberg (YP69) - A great season, he is now playing centre back and has fitted the posion perfectly so far. Let's hope it continues.

Phillip Nilsson (YP70) - Still fighting for his place in the team. 4 goals and 5 assists in 25 appearances was enough to see him win the "coveted" Rookie of the Year Award the 3rd Tord player in a row to do so.

Axel Nordgren (YP71) - Absolutely incredible, blew Eddie Rubin (YP72)'s performances last season out the water. Scored 32 in 43 to break the most goals in a season record and most league goals in a season record at Tord. He also won the Swedish Premier Division Golden Boot as well as the Goal of the Season Award for this fantastic volley against Assyriska.

Eddie Rubin (YP72) - Got injured early on in the seaon and took a while to recover from it but 13 goals from his final 15 appearances of the season really showed he was back in form. He was vital for our title push which only just fell short.

Joakin Hjelm (YP73) - Played in the cup games plus a few league games as well. I think next season will be his breakthrough season as Niklas Svensson (YP38) is finally showing his age.

Erik Fahlman (YP74) - More of the same from him, a slight improvement perhaps. Look forward to many more years of similar if not better performances.

Erik Westberg (YP75) - Only got a few games this season and will probably be let go at the end of his contract. Just not enough room for him in the squad.

Stefan Zhubi (YP76) - Was very inconsistent, he had games where he looked absolutely incredible then the very next game he would look like Jordan Henderson or Stewart Downing (completely clueless).

Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) - Started off the season well and overall had an above average debut season. Will really have to fight it out for a striker spot as he just doesn't play well as an attacking midfielder.

Finances - A huge profit of 9mill this time around. Mainly due to the group stages.

Some teams got into Europe via winning or getting to the final of a cup, here is a key:

    CL - Champions League
    EC - Euro Cup
    FA - FA Cup
    LC - League Cup
    FC - French Cup
    GC - German Cup
    IC - Italian Cup
    SC - Spanish Cup

If there is nothing next to a team's name then they got into Europe via their league position

Without me having to look, when was the last time Sirius won the league? .

Unlucky on missing out on the league title, but its nice that you now have 2 teams in the Champions League.

They last won it in 2032 as well as in 2030 and 2031. They had only won it these 3 times previously

Champions League Group D: Hoffenheim 1-1 Tord
So close to winning it but an incredible performance to even get a draw. They took the lead in the 20th min after dominating the early stages but we had a chance to level just before half time as we were awarded a penalty. But Erik Fahlman (YP74) skewed the penalty wide leaving me absolutely gutted. The 2nd half consisted of them dominating us but unable to finish us off completeley. Then in the 80th min Erik Fahlman (YP74) made up for earlier mistakes by heading home from a freekick to earn us our 1st and only point in the group.

At the end of the Champions' League season you should get a little bit of money.

Start demanding those youth facility uprades etc

Good to see you back in champions league, and picking up a point from a pretty tough group is solid.

Unlucky about the league though! so close yet so far. But a champions league spot nonetheless so good work!

I wish I could upgrade them more for better youths but at the moment they are maxed out. Same with Training facilities. Surprisingly they haven't deteriorated yet.

Thanks, It was a nice surprise to get a point right at the very end, I think we deserved at least one.

Not a good year for youth intakes unfortunately.

    League: Tord 1-0 Atvidaberg
A very low key start to the season. A scrappy 1-0 win over an average team. Phillip Nilsson (YP70) got the only goal of the game in the 89th min.

    League: IK Sirius 0-1 Tord
A very lucky win. We were battered all game but somehow manage to snatch a 1-0 lead in the 2nd half and hold onto it. Eddie Rubin (YP72) notched his 1st of hopefully many for this season.

    League: Tord 2-2 Malmo FF
Well there's karma for you. We dominated this match from start to finish despite going a man down in the 64th min when Adam Karlsson (YP65) got sent off. We could and should have easily scored a half dozen or more. Malmo opened the scoring in the 5th min against the run of play but goals from Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Stefan Hedlund (YP64) quickly righted the scoreline. Malmo equalised straight after half time as we were again caught napping. We pushed for a winner but missed a hat-full of chances. One of our best performances in a long time considering the strength of a team like Malmo.

How do you think this is going long-term, hrbfc?

I mean, you've had some unbelievable success in the last few years but it kind of seems as though you've stalled a bit of late. If you can't improve the facilities or youth recruitment any further, and the quality of the youth players is as poor as as the one you just announced, have you peaked?

It is impressive you've come so far. This challenge would be much easier on FM12 with the improved youth intake. Amazing story.

I can't see things improving very much the next seasons. Seems the newgens aren't really improving after some point.Anyway the swedish competitions' improvement help but the dream of continental cup is far away. Good updates though.

Thanks, yer I agree that the we will only improve our regens as the Swedish competition improves. It will be a while until we can challenge for European glory but in the past few seasons we've (as a nation) improved greatly.

I'm thinking about starting something similar in fm13 as I know there are problems with the youth recruitment in fm11.

We may have stalled in the Swedish Premier Division but at the moment the priority is getting Sweden's European coefficient up. We are just 1 place away from having a Swedish team come straight in at the group stages. All this helps the other teams in the division improve along with our youth intakes. Yes we did have a poor one just now but previous to that I think we have had some above average intakes so it's all evening itself out.

I don't think we've peaked but if there is no way I can improve our youth recruitment (it's always greyed out) then I wouldn't put it past another Swedish team winning the Champions League before us.

    League: Assyriska 0-1 Tord
A pretty uninteresting match up until the 85th min. Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) got what turned out to be the winning goal then a few mins later Eddie Rubin (YP72) saw red for a 2nd bookable offence.

    League: Tord 0-0 AIK
One of our better results against AIK in recent times. They probably just edged it on the day but both sides had good chances to win it. We had the better of the 1st half but AIK dominated the 2nd so a 0-0 draw was a good result for us.

    League:
    Umea FC 0-1 Tord
Not a great performance for us but we got the job done and were fairly clinical. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) scored from our only decent chance all game. We closed Umea out well as they struggled to even get a shot at goal.

    League: Tord 2-0 Gefle
A good 1st half display won us the match. Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) both took advantage of Gefle's slow start. I was disappointed we couldn't add in a few more goals as Gefle didn't really show up today.

    League: Oddevold 1-1 Tord
We took the lead in fortunate circumstances, Oddevold put the ball into their own net just 2 mins into the game. Unfortunately we couldn't see the lead out until half time as we conceded right on the half time whistle. We were better in the 2nd half but didn't create any major chances to score from.

    League: Tord 3-1 Mjallby
A great display against a surprisingly struggling Mjallby side. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) and Erik Fahlman (YP74) scored in the 1st half and Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) added a 3rd in the 2nd half. Mjallby got a consolation late on but there was more misery for them as they went down to 10 men in the 90th min.

    League: Tord 3-3 IFK Goteborg
A cracking game but we really should have won this. Goteborg scored early on with a great goal which really set the tone of the match. Despite this early setback Axel Nordgren (YP71) finally found his scoring boots this season as he bagged a brace to put us 2-1 up at half time. We continued this momentum into the 2nd half but instead of adding to our lead we somehow conceded twice to go 3-2 behind. Eddie Rubin (YP72) thankfully rescued a point for us but how we didn't win that game i'll never know.

    League: GAIS 2-2 Tord
More dropped points and from another winning position. This one even more convincing than last match. Axel Nordgren (YP71) scored before a minute was on the clock (his 3rd time in 2 seasons) and Adam Karlsson (YP65) added a 2nd just before half time. We were cruising but as they say 2-0 is a dangerous scoreline as we then undid all our hard work in the 1st half with a sloppy 2nd half. We gifted them 2 goals and a point.

Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Orebro 2-1 Tord
Our 1st loss of the season but only in the cup. A pretty dire game despite the goals. They took the lead midway through the 2nd half but Jonas Andersson (YP49) equalised almost instantly. Orebro then nicked the winner a few mins from time. Oh well not the biggest loss in the world.

    League: Tord 3-1 Syrianska FC
A slow start by both teams meant it was a fairly uninteresting 1st half. Until Axel Nordgren (YP71) rifled in the opening goal a few mins before half time. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) made sure of the points with a 2nd half brace although Syrianksa did get a consolation late on.

    League: Hammarby Fotboll 1-3 Tord
Another good win as we start to find our stride. Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) combining to sink our opponents. This time it was the former who scored twice.

    League: Tord 2-0 Orebro
    Erik Fahlman (YP74)
and Axel Nordgren (YP71) scored 1st half goals as we looked for revenge for our cup exit. We could have added to our total in the 2nd half but their keeper played a blinder.

A very nice start to the season. Could do with a few draws becomming wins over the course of the season but its still nice to be sitting unbeaten at this stage.

Brilliant read and has encouraged me to try the same (on FM10). A couple of questions though:

    1. When did you start making any money? I tend to lose £15k in a good month and it's only frequent interventions by the board that keep us afloat.
    2. When do you start playing in any cup games? I would like to blood a few of my less dreadful youngsters and the cup is usually a good place for that. And it might give us some money!

    Thanks

    Chris

    Good Luck with your save

    1) I started to make money once I had got my 1st promotion. We were constantly losing money in the 4th tier so a quick promotion was vital.
    2) I think you need to finish in a certain place (or higher) in division 4 to be entered into the preliminary round of the Swedish Cup. I didn't get entered in the cup when I finished 10th but when I finished 4th the next season I was entered into it. So it is between those 2 places.

    League: Atvidaberg 0-0 Tord
A bore draw. The only exciting moment in the match was a red card for Adam Karlsson (YP65) in the 93rd min after a 2nd bookable offence.

    League: Tord 2-0 IK Sirius
2 goals in 4 mins in the 1st half was enough to get us all 3 points. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) headed us into the lead before Eddie Rubin (YP72) added our 2nd in the 41st min.

    League: Helsingborg 1-0 Tord
A big game in the title race and we blew it. Helsingborg played much better than us and deserved their 1 goal win.

Champions League Best Placed 3rd Qual 1st Leg: Tord 1-4 Benfica
As expected it was a tough draw which I wasn't expecting to survive. My team didn't spring an upset to surprise me although we did take the lead in the 22nd min through an Erik Fahlman (YP74) penalty. Unfortunately it all fell apart there. Benfica netted 3 in 15 mins and a 4th in the 83rd min to ease to victory.

    League: Malmo 3-1 Tord
Another big game for the title race which hasn't come at the best of times. We played well in the 1st half, holding our own and creating a few chances but fell apart at the start of the 2nd half. We conceded twice in the opening 10 mins, Jonas Andersson (YP49) did get a goal back to bring us back in the game. We didn't take that opportunity and instead conceded a 3rd to add to our misery.

Champions League Best Placed 3rd Qual 2nd Leg: Benfica (5) 1-0 (1) Tord
A courageous performance but a loss nonetheless. We were a man down for most of the game due to Adam Karlsson (YP65) seeing red. That gave Benfica the edge and they took advantage of that by scoring almost instantly after the red card. We rallied well to concede just the once although we rarely troubled their goal.

Elsewhere in Eurpe AIK got through 2 rounds of qualifying, beatin Tobyl from Kazakhstan 3-1 and 1-0. They then beat Banska Bystrica from Slovakia 3-0 on aggreagte. Malmo were less lucky as they lost to Sigma Olomouc 6-0.

IK Sirius just about saw off Mypa from Finalnd 2-1 on aggregate in the Champions League Champions 3rd Qualifying Round.

    League: Tord 2-0 Assyriska
A good win to halt a run of 2 league losses in a row and 4 losses in all competitions. We looked dire in the 1st half but invigorated in the 2nd. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) and Oskar Svedberg (YP69) both netting in the 1st 15 mins of the 2nd half to give us a fairly comfortable win.

    League: AIK 3-2 Tord
Oh dear a 3rd league loss in 4 games as we make it 3 in 3 away against the rest of the top 4 teams. This one we actually deserved something from though. Twice we took the lead through Axel Nordgren (YP71) both times. But twice we let the lead slip away before finally conceding a 3rd just a couple of mins from full time.

Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 2-2 Bursaspor
A difficult draw but we had an outside chance. It was a very 50 50 game so probably a fair result but we really should hav had the game buried in the 1st half with the amount of chances we created. Albin Carlsson (YP55) gave us the lead after just 5 mins but we should have been 3-0 up at least by half time. Bursaspor had the quality to make us pay early in the 2nd half with two quick goals. In the end it took Eddie Rubin (YP72) to rescue a draw in the 85th min.

    League: Tord 1-0 Umea FC
A very dodgy performance, you could very much tell we had recently lost 3 out of the last 4 league games as our title charge was ripped to shreds. In the end Tommy Eriksson (YP66) picked us up a scrappy win.

    Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 2nd Leg: Bursaspor (5) 3-1 (3) Tord
The missed chances in the 1st leg proved our downfall in the tie as we went into the away leg with a big ask. We had a shocker of a 1st half as we conceded 3 times as the result looked like it could get embarrassing. But we vastly improved in the 2nd half, Eddie Rubin (YP72) got us a goal back as we pushed for the goals required to make it through. Unfortunately we didn't get them but at least we didn't concede any more.

IK Sirius made their way into the Champions League group stages as they beat Lokomotiv (Sofia) 3-2 on aggregate in the Playoff.

In the Euro Cup AIK surprisingly thrashed Young Boys 5-0 on aggregate to make their way into the group stage. GAIS weren't so lucky with the draw as they got Villarreal which they lost 2-0 to them in both legs

    League: Gefle 0-3 Tord
A very impressive display which I wasn't expecting after our swift exit from Europe and recent league troubles. An own goal gave us the lead after just 4 mins which Oskar Svedberg (YP69) doubled a few mins later. Erik Fahlman (YP74) added a 3rd late on from the penalty spot before getting injured a few mins later. Despite lossed to the 3 teams around us we are still very much in the title race.

Not so much luck in the big games, but you are hanging in there. Good to see Swedish teams in the group stages of both European comps again, and let's hope it remains consistent. I'm a Villa fan though so I will secretly be cheering them on!

    League: Tord 2-0 Mjallby
We left it late but we got the win we deserved over struggling Mjallby. Axel Nordgren (YP71) scored twice in the last 15 mins of the match as we were finally rewarded for our dominance.

    League: IFK Goteborg 0-2 Tord
Goteborg dominated most of the 1st half but it was Axel Nordgren (YP71) who broke the deadlock just before half time. This gave us the edge going into the 2nd half. We played much better in the 2nd half and we looked good value for our lead. Erik Fahlman (YP74) doubled the lead half way through the 2nd half as we eventually coasted past IFK Goteborg. It was not all good news as Eddie Rubin (YP72) broke his foot in the 8th min putting him out for the rest of the season. Possibly a costly loss as we go into the final stretch of the season.

    League: Tord 3-0 Oddevold
Another dominant win and another clean sheet. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) gave us the lead inside a minute which Erik Fahlman (YP74) doubled just before half time. His afternoon got a lot worse though as he got injured for 3 months so Fahlman (YP74) will also miss the rest of the season. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) added a 3rd in the 90th min but can we keep this up as the injury list gets longer and longer.

    League: Tord 0-0 GAIS
A good result considering we were given a dubious red card after just 9 mins. We defended well and pushed for a sneaky winner late on the game. Unfortunately we couldn't quite get a winner at the end but a good performance nonetheless.

    League: Syrianska FC 4-4 Tord
Our clean sheet streak came to abrupt end in this goal fest. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) and Axel Nordgren (YP71) both scored inside the opening 15 mins as we got off to the best of starts. But after a great start we went to complete disarray as they scored twice in 8 mins before half time to make it 2-2. In the 2nd half we took the lead twice more both times through Tommy Eriksson (YP66) but both times we conceded an equaliser almost instantly.

    League: Tord 3-0 Hammarby Fotboll
A comprehensive win as we went a step closer to winning the league. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) and Axel Nordgren (YP71) both scored in the 1st half as we showed our clinical side. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) added a 3rd in the 2nd half to see off Hammarby.

    League: Orebro 2-2 Tord
A win here would have almost guaranteed us the league win but we slipped up badly. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) gave us a 2-0 lead by half time from 2 set pieces. We had the match wrapped up but a simple mistake from Joakim Hjelm (YP73) gave them a way back into the match which they took 4 mins from full time when they scored a 2nd.

    League: Tord 3-2 Helsingborg
Malmo thrashed Assyriska 7-1 in their game in hand to make sure the title would go down to the last day. Both of us had tough games, we had 3rd place at home and Malmo have to play AIK away. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) replicated the 1st half of last match perfectly as he again scored twice from set pieces. We continued to assert our dominance in the 2nd half as Axel Nordgren (YP71) added a 3rd 1 minute into the 2nd half. And again we almost blew it, thankfully we didn't as Malmo had beaten AIK 4-2. We managed to concede 2 goals in the last 30 mins meaning we had to survive the last 12 mins very much on the back foot. We managed to hold onto the 3-2 scoreline to claim the league title.

Good career- I've enjoyed following it. Just curious- how old is your manager now and are you going to just keep the same once it stops clocking your age?

End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2044

    League Table, League Graph
    Squad

We got off to a fantastic start as we went on a 16 match unbeaten run. All good things come to an end and this one came to a very abrupt end. We lost 3 of the next 4 league games, admittedly they were all away against the rest of the top 4 but we should still be coming away with at least a point. Despite that mini blip we then went the rest of the season without losing which saw us win the league by a mere point. Malmo ran us all the way as it went down to the last day. We beat Helsingborg 3-2 which made Malmo's 4-2 win over AIK irrelevent.

    Swedish Cup

We fell out the cup at the 1st hurdle yet again. I put out a reserve team who were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Orebro.

    Europe

Our European adventure was rather short this season but that was to be expected. We had been put in the Best Placed section of the Champions League Draw which is full of very good teams. We got Benfica which we completely screwed up in the 1st leg. We lost 4-1 at home after taking a 1-0 lead. We restored some pride when we only lost 1-0 away but the damage was done in the 1st leg.

This put us in the 4th Qualifying Round of the Euro Cup which also has lots of good teams in. We drew Bursaspor who were just too good for us. We drew 2-2 at home to give us a chance of qualifying. But conceding 3 in the 1st half of the 2nd leg really killed us off. However we used this short European run to our advantage as we managed to win the league title.

    Reserves/U19's

    Reserve League

A poor season for the reserves as they only managed 2 wins in 14 matches.

    U19 League

Another 2nd place and again we lose out to AIK. Never really challenged for 1st as AIK were too good.

    Youth Players (At the Club)

Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Really struggled this season as his age is getting to him. Surprised he didn't retire at the end of this season as he is getting pretty old.

Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Still played a few times but he wasn't helped by a 2 month hip injury.

Erik Mansson (YP50) - Played consistently at right back, was competent but nothing special.

Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Struggled with injuries this season as did most of our squad. Didn't play too well when he did play, may be starting to feel his age.

Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Continued exactly where he left of last season. Nothing special but did his job efficiently.

Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Still struggling, not as much as last season but still was very poor.

Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Only a few appearances this season and he didn't perform in them at all.

Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Used him a lot more this season and he played reasonably okay. Played much better a few seasons ago, let's hope he can re-find that form.

Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - I thought he played well this season, looked like a good right mid finally.

Adam Karlsson (YP65) - Continued to improve and was one of the main reasons why we conceded the least amount of goals this season in the league.

Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Only played a few matches but scored an impressive 5 goals in them. Stepped up when needed.

Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - Another great season as he continues to get better. 6 goals and 7 assists for the midfielder this season

Oskar Svedberg (YP69) - Probably our player of the season, 8 goal haul all from corners or free kicks as well as brilliant defending.

Phillip Nilsson (YP70) - Continues to fight for his place, was average especially when he is being compared to Dejan Ohlsson (YP68).

Axel Nordgren (YP71) - Obviously not as good as last season, I would have been very surprised if he had. 16 goals from 33 appearances is still very good.

Eddie Rubin (YP72) - Had a big injury at the end of the season which I can hope he can recover well from. Didn't get too many goals but made up for it with his many assists.

Joakin Hjelm (YP73) - Finally made it to 1st choice and I think he had a very good debut season as 1st choice. 17 clean sheets in the league.

Erik Fahlman (YP74) - A good season for the left mid but he was another whose season was cut short by a serious injury.

Erik Westberg (YP75) - Only made 1 sub appearance. Will be on his way ASAP.

Stefan Zhubi (YP76) - A much better season as he became the 2nd highest creator of goals with 7 assists despite not being a regular 1st team player.

Kristoffer Arvidsson (YP77) - Maybe his lack of ambition plays a bigger part than I thought. He was okay but I was expecting a lot more from him.

Andreas Svensson (YP78) - A reasonable debut season, gives him a good platform to improve on. Will have more game time when Magnus Kjellman (YP45) retires.

    Retiring Players

    Niklas Svensson (YP38)

    History

Tord's most capped player's career has finally come to an end. Joakim Hjelm (YP73) became 1st choice keeper this season so Svensson (YP38) only played 1 cup game. I was going to give him a send off in the last game of the season but he got injured a few days before. In talks to make him our goalkeeping coach to prolong his 20 years with us.

    Jonas Andersson (YP49)

    History

Never really properly stood out but somehow he survived here until his retirement. 103 goals in 322 league games isn't bad going at all but he was overshadowed by Peter Jansson (YP33) in the early part of his career and by Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Eddie Rubin (YP72) in the latter parts.

Finances - Made a slight loss due to a poor European run. Also our youth facilities were downgraded at the end of the season so I immediately asked the board to re-upgrade them which they accepted.

My manager is 60 now, I believe the limit is 100 so i doubt i'll get there but if I do I would continue as that manager. I understand it's not realistic to have a 100 year old manager who's age doesn't go up but i'd rather have all my achievements listed under 1 person.

Some teams got into Europe via winning or getting to the final of a cup, here is a key:

    CL - Champions League
    EC - Euro Cup
    FA - FA Cup
    LC - League Cup
    FC - French Cup
    GC - German Cup
    IC - Italian Cup
    SC - Spanish Cup

If there is nothing next to a team's name then they got into Europe via their league position

    A European update:

As you can see we didn't have the best of times in the groups. IK Sirius lost 5 games heavily and in the 6th game kept it at a respectable 1-0.

AIK fared slightly better with 2 draws against U Craiova, 1-1 at home and 0-0 away but lost heavily against Chelsea and Deportivo. U Craiova did slightly better than AIK as they kept the 4 losses to Chelsea and Deportivo to low scorelines (3-0, 3-0, 2-0, 1-0).

More bad news as I have yet again been overlooked for the Sweden job. Instead it goes to the AIK manager who managed to guide them to 6th last season despite being predicted to challenge for the title .

But i'll end on some good news. The prize money and TV money for the Swedish Premier Division have rocketed up this season. The prize money went from £585K for 1st place to £715K and the TV money went from £800K to £1.2M. \o/ We may be getting somewhere.

Great stuff as ever. Have any of your rejects gone on to do anything elsewhere?

Good to see that idiotic FA behavior is universal.

Congrats on winning the title but it a shame to see the Swedish FA are a bit clueless when it comes to the National team job.

Another title! good to see the prize money and TV rights going up. Is this the first increase that you have seen in the Swedish top league?

None of them have done anything worth noting. They all either move down a division or two or are unable to find a club

It's the 1st time it's increased significantly. When we got promoted to the Premier Division I think it was around £450K prize money and £700K TV Money. So it hadn't gone up much in quite a while.

I think I am right in saying that this is our 1st player to get a Swedish cap:

The very next message I get is Oskar Svedberg (YP69) is unhappy and wants to move to a bigger club. Talk about getting big headed, he only played 28 mins for Sweden and he wasn't exactly outstanding for them.

Success has gone to his head . Would you cash in on him or play hard ball?

I would definitely keep him, I don't really need the money but I do need his quality. Set a price tag of £10M on him to hopefully scare off any clubs

Fantastic career you have had and the great updates make for good reading. Its inspired me to try something similar on FM12

How many youths are you getting coming through each year? if i remember fm11 isn't the same where you get 12 and then pick to sign them if you want like on fm12.

Yer he has actually improved quite a bit. Should replace Stefan Hedlund (YP64) on the right wing soon.

Well I get about 7 or 8 each intake although on average about 2 of those will be moved up to the 1st team.

Swedish Super Cup: Tord 3-2 Malmo FF
A good start to the season as we picked up the early trophy. It was an absolutely fantastic 1st half of football, a pity the 2nd half didn't live up to expectation. Eddie Rubin (YP72) opened the scoring in the 18th min and he scored again 8 mins later to give us a 2 goal lead. Malmo hit right back with a goal from their 1st shot on target just 2 mins after our 2nd goal. Axel Nordgren (YP71) added our 3rd just a few mins before half time as we looked to restore our 2 goal lead for half time But Malmo reduced the deficit with the last kick of the 1st half to set it up perfectly for the 2nd half. Unfortunately it didn't turn out anything like that. Malmo were the slightly better team but their attacks were slow and we easily broke them up but we were unable to counter them.

    League: Tord 3-1 IFK Goteborg
We were the far better team throughout the whole match but when Goteborg scored in the 2nd min and we had failed to equalise before half time I thought I was in for one of those games. Luckily we managed to finally get the breakthrough as Phillip Nilsson (YP70) equalised from the penalty spot just before the hour mark. After that the floodgates opened as Eddie Rubin (YP72) quickly scored a brace to guide us to an easy win in the end.

    League: Syrianska FC 0-1 Tord
We were dominant in the 1st half but only scored once in that time when we really should have had a handful. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) got our only goal. Syrianska were much improved in the 2nd half and looked to make us pay for missing our chances to kill the game off in the 1st half. Luckily their finishing was horrendous so we got the 1-0 which we just about deserved.

    League: Tord 4-2 Hammarby Fotboll
Similar to the Goteborg match in many ways. Despite dominating the whole match we went into the break 2-1 down. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) scored for us after Hammarby went 2-0 up. Luckily we stepped up a few gears in the 2nd half as we really piled on the pressure. Eddie Rubin (YP72) got the equaliser within 5 mins of the 2nd half before Phillip Nilsson (YP70) scored twice to complete a fantastic comeback.

    League: Umea FC 0-2 Tord
A convincing away win, Umea were just outplayed. Axel Nordgren (YP71) gave us the lead after 10 mins which (Swedish International
) Oskar Svedberg (YP69) doubled 5 mins into the 2nd half.

    League: Tord 2-0 GAIS
The first time we haven't had to come from behind to win at home in the league. No nonsense this time as Axel Nordgren (YP71)'s 2 goals easily saw off GAIS as wecontinued our winning streak in the league.

    League: Helsingborg 1-1 Tord
I don't know what happened this match, in all the previous matches we looked comfortable and deserved to win. However we looked terrible here as Helsingborg ran rings around us, especially in the 1st half. Somehow we managed to scrape an equaliser through Erik Fahlman (YP74) in the 76th min after they had taken an early lead.

    League: Tord 1-0 IK Sirius
The Helsingborg game was proved to be an anomaly as we absolutely trounced IK Sirius creating chance after chance. Axel Nordgren (YP71) was out injured but how we only scored once is just utterly incredible. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) got the only goal of the game but we could well have had double figures on a good day and i'm not even joking.

    League: Oddevold 2-2 Tord
We acted similar to the Helsingborg game in the 1st half which saw us go 2-0 down almost immediately. Thankfully we bucked our ideas up in the 2nd half as Axel Nordgren (YP71) scored twice, the equaliser coming in the 93rd min. Just about preserving our unbeaten run.

    League: Gefle 0-0 Tord
Our 3rd draw in 4 games, are we losing it? This was the worst performance of the lot. Gefle had the majority of possession as we struggled to take it off them. They managed 26 shots in the game 17 of which were from outside the area. They just couldn't break down our defense meaning they kept trying long shots most of which were miles off target. As we couldn't really mount any meaningful attack the game was destined for a 0-0 draw.

Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord e1-0 Orebro
Our 3rd game in a week and it showed as we struggled past Orebro. I did put out our 2nd choice team but due to injuries and international call ups most of them were knackered from the last 2 matches. In the end Karl Jawo (YP80)'s penalty strike was the difference. Nice time to score your 1st for the club.

    League: Tord 3-0 Hammarby TFF
This was agreat result considering we were still tired from the hectic schedule. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) opened the scoring just before half time then Axel Nordgren (YP71) added yet another brace to secure the points.

    League: AIK 3-3 Tord
After our recent away performances I was dreading this match but I was completely proved wrong. We were incredible and by far deserved the win. Things looked ominous when they went 2-0 up after just 20 mins but we valiantly fought back with yet another Axel Nordgren (YP71) brace to make 2-2 by half time. Then things got even better as Eddie Rubin (YP72) ended his 11 hour goal drought to give us the lead. Unfortunately we couldn't hold on as AIK equalised with just 7 mins left. Despite the dropped points this was a real confidence booster.
