We used to fill the stadium until the last upgrade. Now we get around 16.5k/match and our stadium is a 21k all seater.

League: Tord 1-0 Mjallby
A great win over 2nd place. Sebastain Jeppsson (YP59) got the only goal of the game right after half time. Mjallby fought back for an equaliser but that all came to an end when they got a straight red in the 70th min. We easily played the game out for the 1-0 win.

League: Tord 0-0 Kalmar FF
We were below par for this match and were lucky not to lose it. That being said we still had a few chances to score. All round a poor display.

League: IK Sirius 0-0 Tord
A very cagey game with few chances, we had the best one of the game but, as i've come to expect from my strikers, we missed it.

League: Assyriska 0-0 Tord
So ends the most exciting month in football history. A whopping 1 goal in it in total. Assyriska should have really beaten us but in reality neither team deserved to win.

League: Tord 1-0 Atvidaberg
What's this? a goal? Viktor Andersson (YP53) scored just before half time to show our strikers how its done. Rifling in a shot from all of 30 yards. Our strikers meanwhile were busy missing sitters and straying offside.

League: IFK Goteborg 1-1 Tord
Our clean sheet streak ended in just the 4th min, we had previously gone 9hours 40 mins without conceding. Viktor Andersson (YP53) rescued a potentially vital point in the 93rd min.

League: Syrianska Kerburan 0-3 Tord
Yes you read that correctly, we scored 3 whole goals. If i'm not mistaken I think that just about doubles our tally for the season. It also showed how stupid i've been. I have been consistently playing Eddie Rubin (YP72) in the hope that he would eventually come good (like the Chelsea/Torres or Liverpool/Carroll situations) and he's ended up with 1 goal in 28 appearances. This match I decided to play Axel Nordgren (YP71) for just the 6th time this season. He scored a 1st half brace to set us up for a comfortable victory as Viktor Andersson (YP53) netted his 3rd in as many games to seal the win.

November 2040


League: Tord 3-5 AIK
What the hell happened?!?!? We've gone from 1 extreme to the other. Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us the lead after 27 mins but AIK hit back twice just before half time to flip the score. Axel Nordgren (YP71) continued to make me regret not playing him more as he equalised with half an hour left. AIK retook the lead 5 mins later through a great strike from 25 yards. Jonas Andersson (YP49) added his 2nd and our 3rd of the match to put us back into the match. AIK then scored twice more late on to ruin the day.

League: GAIS 1-2 Tord
We needed a win to make sure we would be in Europe next season. We did win but we had to do it the hard way. We went behind in the first 20 mins as we had a very poor 1st half. We greatly improved in the 2nd half with Viktor Andersson (YP53) and Axel Nordgren (YP71) getting the goals to complete the comeback and secure 3rd spot for us.

A terrible season all round really. Our defence was pretty solid throughout but our attack was so bad that it probably wouldn't have made a difference if we had played me upfront. There were occasional spurts in form from a couple of strikers but overall it was painful to watch. We somehow scraped 3rd place and with that comes the Euro Cup. I'm looking for a great improvement in the coming seasons, we seem to have gone downhill recently.



Swedish Cup


Lost at home to GAIS 2-0, awful.


Europe

Lost in the 1st tie to Bohemians 1905 , lost both home and away. Luckily the country's European coefficients will be somewhat salvaged by both AIK and Umea reaching the Euro cup group stages.


Reserves/U19's


Reserve League

The reserve's debut season ended with moderate success as they finished 3rd out of 8


U19 League

Finished midtable after a good start. AIK walked it though finishing with 21 wins and a draw from their 22 matches.

went out in 3rd round of the cup as well.


Youth Players (At the Club)


Niklas Svensson (YP38) - A very good season for him, if he and the defence didn't turn up we could have had a very disappointing season. Also overtook Jorgen Melki (YP37) as Tord's most capped league player.

Martin Hansson (YP43) - Only played a couple of games and has aked to leave so should be gone before next season, if not the season after.

Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Was reasonable, didn't stand out at all.

Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Really struggled this season, mainly because I needed him in midfield for parts of the season.

Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Again our top scorer although seeing as how the season went thats not really saying much.

Erik Mansson (YP50) - Was one of the better players just like most of our defence were.

Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Has returned to form after having a dodgy season last time.

Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Was easily our best player throughout the season. Single handedly dragged us out of a poor run of form towards the end of the season.

Albin Carlsson (YP55) - A great season at centre back, even scored a few goals which makes him better than most of our strikers.

Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Had a decent season again, our main source of assists.

Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Didn't have many chances but scored twice.

Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Decided to keep him on for another couple of seasons as he lowered his contract demands considerably. Really wish I hadn't now.

Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Played a couple of games and played well. Just shows our depth in quality in defence.

Olle Stenman (YP63) - Extended his contract for a year as he is back up to the 1st team, wasn't really needed so may let him go at the end of the season.

Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Played most games but was absolutely shocking, our best right mid though.

Adam Karlsson (YP65) - Losing his fight for his place at centre back.

Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Only came off the bench this season. Was awful whenever he played so could be gone soon.

Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - Played a lot more but he is starting to show that hes not all he was made up to be. We will probably need a new keeper in the coming seasons.

Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - Played a bit more, played a bit better. Good progression.

Oskar Svedberg (YP69) - A very good debut season, all signs of a great player in the making.

Phillip Nilsson (YP70) - Only a few games, didn't play great but still apparently has great potential.

Axel Nordgren (YP71) - Didn't play too great at the start of the season but after an international break where he scored 5 in 2 games for the Sweden U19's I decided to give him another chance. I'm glad i did as he scored 4 in 3 at the close of the season to help us into the European places. Excited at his potential.

Eddie Rubin (YP72) - I gave him so many chances yet he screwed them all up. Just 1 goal in 28 appearances, not encouraging signs.

Jorgen Melki (YP37)

League History

A great player for us, showed by his high average rating after all this time. Even more impressive is he started as a centre defender and then moved to midfield and still continued to play incredibly well. Played 435 times for us in the league, scoring 82 goals.


Niclas Carlsson (YP39)

League History

Always did a good job but did it behind the scenes. He made 383 league appearances scoring 18 goals.


Finances - Huge losses as we pay the price for not getting into the European group stage.

League: Gefle 0-2 Tord
A very confident and surprising start to the campaign, although we do have an easy first few games. Axel Nordgren (YP71) continued his fine form from last season to score our 1st goal. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) then doubled our lead just before half time. We continued to dominate in the 2nd half but couldn't find the net.

League: Tord 5-2 GAIS
What's happening? I didn't think it was possible that a team with these strikers could score 5 in a match. We went behind after just 4 mins but rallied well to put 3 past them before half time. Tommy Eriksson (YP66), Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Magnus Kjellman (YP45) scoring the goals. We continued the rout in the 2nd half, Erik Johannesson (YP56) getting a brace before GAIS got a consolation.

League: Skarhamn 0-3 Tord
10 goals in 3 matches, it's like christmas. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) opened the scoring in the 1st half before a 2nd half brace from Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) sealed the win

League: Tord 2-0 Helsingborg
Our winning streak continues as 1st half goals from Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Oskar Svedberg (YP69) helped us see off Helsingborg. We kind of laid back after we had scored and almost paid the price for it as we handed them a couple of easy chances which they fortunately missed.

League: IFK Goteborg 0-0 Tord
Our 1st dropped points of the season. We had the better of it restricting them to long shots only really. However we couldn't exactly create any good chances ourselves. It's what you'd expect from the teams with the 2 best defences in the league at the moment.

League: Tord 1-0 Umea FC
Almost more dropped points which would have been an absolute travesty as we completely dominated them from start to finish. Our strikers finally fell back into their old routine of missing every opportunity possible. Luckily Hakan Nielsen (YP47) was on hand to save them from complete embarrassment as he netted in the 91st min.

League: Tord 4-0 Vasteras SK
A fantastic performance all round, solid defending, flowing midfield and strikers who can finish. All too rare to see from Tord recently. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Tommy Eriksson (YP66) both bagging a brace as we thumped Vasteras.

It's practically no different, no tactic change or anything. Just my strikers seem to be on form, for now at least. Last season they all decided to have a really bad season and under perform horrifically and now they are starting to pay me back for it.

The new guy will get his chances in the cup and some of the European matches. I just can't bring myself to drop Niklas Svensson (YP38) to 2nd choice besides he is still quality as shown by the number of goals we conceded both this season and last season.

League: Mjallby 1-1 Tord
We started well with Oskar Svedberg (YP69) heading us into the lead in the 16th min. Unfortunately we couldn't hold on to this lead as they equalised with 10 mins left.

League: AIK 3-0 Tord
A very disappointing match, they scored all 3 in the 1st half. Not only that but they also got a man sent off in the 30th min. We had a whole hour to try and take the match to them and we failed miserably. Only scraping together a handful of half chances. The 1st loss of the season and it's a bad one.

Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Oddevold 1-0 Tord
Put out a secondary team as per usual for this cup. Our new keeper had a decent game, only being beaten by a good effort from 25 yards. We didn't really turn up at all this match. They could have added to their league but for a mixture of good saves and poor finishing.

League: Tord 3-0 Trelleborg
We've had a disastrous month so far but this result was welcome respite. Erik Johannesson (YP56) and Olle Stenman (YP63) scoring in the 1st half before Roger Magnusson (YP52) put the result beyond doubt in the 2nd half from the penalty spot.

League: Malmo FF 1-0 Tord
A disappointing result but nonetheless a good display. We really should have got something from this match as we dominated the 1st hour. In this time we had 3 or 4 good chances while restricting them to long shots and really difficult chances. We couldn't keep this pressure up though as they rode their luck and then went on to score the winner in the 76th min.

Training facilities have been upgraded to "good" now. After a small argument my board reluctantly agreed to upgrade them again.

League: Tord 3-0 IK Sirius
Just 2 games this month due to Internationals but we desperately needed to win both of these to stay on track after a dodgy month. We started well as we comfortably dispatched of IK Sirius not even allowing them a shot on target. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) scored just before half time then Axel Nordgren (YP71) came off the bench in the 2nd half to add a brace.

League: Tord 2-1 Assyriska
Axel Nordgren (YP71) added another to his tally and Tommy Eriksson (YP66) added a 2nd right on the stroke of half time. 2-0 is a dangerous lead as we almost found out. We gave away a cheap penalty to allow them back into the match but luckily we tightened up after that to see out the win.

We drew Montenegren side OFK Grbalj Radanovici in the Euro Cup 2nd Qualifying Round. Hopefully we can avoid any slip ups this time.

League: Orebro 0-1 Tord
A questionable performance but the most important thing is we got 3 points. Albin Carlsson (YP55) scored the only goal of the game in the 75th min after a very even and open game.

League: Tord 1-0 Kalmar FF
Still scraping the wins although the overall performance was much better. In fairness we could have got a few goals but as per usual we missed a host of great chances. Thankfully Tommy Eriksson (YP66) managed to score early on to give us 3 more points.

Euro Cup 2nd Qual Round 1st Leg: Grbalj 1-2 Tord
Not an ideal performance to start with. Hints of the performances against Bohemians last season were clearly visible in this display as we struggled to overcome much weaker opposition. They had the better of the 1st half by a long way, we failed to even trouble their keeper. Grbalj got the goal they deserved in the 4th min of 1st half injury time, at this point I was thinking "not again." With last season's exit fresh in my mind I had a right go at the lads at half time and it showed as they vastly improved after the break. Despite this the goals were just not coming that was until the last 15 mins when Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) both scored in quick succession to break Grbalj supporters' hearts.
Malmo also got through to the CL Champions 3rd qualifying round after easily beating San Marino's La Fiorita 8-1 on aggregate.

League: Tord 0-0 Gefle
The schedule is starting to take its toll already as we looked shattered out there against Gefle. Despite having made a fair few changes from the European match our squad just isn't big enough and doesn't have enough depth at the moment to handle loads of matches. Our perfect home record of 8 wins out of 8 came to an end as we could only muster a bore draw.

Euro Cup 2nd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Tord (7) 5-0 (1) Grbalj
With an eye on the upcoming league match I put out a slightly weakened team including Joakim Hjelm (YP73) who got his 1st clean sheet from his 3rd appearance this season. In the end we absolutely thrashed them, the gulf in class was clearly on display. Eddie Rubin (YP72) staked his claim for a 1st team spot after having a horrific debut season last season, he bagged a hat trick along with goals from Hakan Nielsen (YP47) and Stefan Hedlund (YP64).

League: GAIS 1-0 Tord
Despite resting players we still looked a bit sluggish and in the end it cost us. We probably should have got a draw but our strikers seem to have found their form from last season again.

Euro Cup 3rd Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 3-1 Trans
I wasn't sure what to expect from Trans, they didn't look great but in recent years they have got reasonably far in the qualifying stages of the Euro Cup and Champions League. Turns out they weren't too bad, we struggled to break them down in the opening stages but once Eddie Rubin (YP72) tapped in his 5th goal(in 3 matches) in this competition the floodgates opened. They equalised 3 mins later then Albin Carlsson (YP55) regained the lead for us 4 mins after that. Axel Nordgren (YP71) then came off the bench to add a much needed 3rd. I wouldn't have fancied an away trip with just a slender 1 goal lead.

League: Tord 1-0 Skarhamn
In between all the impressive European matches we have the 1-0 struggles in the league. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) scored from one of the few shots on target in this match.

Euro Cup 3rd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Trans (2) 1-2 (5) Tord
Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us a bit of breathing room midway through the 1st half. Up until then we had been 2nd best but that goal lifted a weight off our shoulders and allowed us to play much better. Axel Nordgren (YP71) sealed the tie 2 mins into the 2nd half before Trans scored a consolation in the 89th min.

Malmo went 1 step closer to making the CL Group Stage as they only just got past Slovan Bratislava on penalties (8-7) after both teams won 1-0 at home.

In the Euro Cup AIK easily dispatched Zeljeznicar 6-0 at home and then 3-1 away. Elsewhere Mjallby lost out to Hapoel Tel Aviv 5-1 on aggregate.

League: Helsingborg 0-0 Tord
Same old story. Looks like AIK are too far gone anyway, there's literally no stopping them. In the last 15 league matches they have won 13 and drawn 1. Still we have a good lead over 3rd place which we will be looking to extend.

League: Tord 1-0 IFK Goteborg
A week rest has done us good. The scoreline may not show it but we strolled past IFK Goteborg. Axel Nordgren (YP71) got the winner in 1st half injury time.

Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 1-1 Aberdeen
We were drawn a tough team but we did have an outside chance of progressing to the group stages. We played out of our skin but of course our lack of composure in front of goal has cost us again. We could have easily had a half dozen goals and been safely through. Instead it took an Albin Carlsson (YP55) header in the 75th min just to rescue a draw. So disappointing.

League: Umea FC 1-1 Tord
We were completely outplayed and lucky to escape with a point. Eddie Rubin (YP72) gave us the lead against the run of play in the 1st half. Umea then dominated the whole 2nd half and eventually got an equaliser late on. I don't know how they didn't get a winner.

Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 2nd Leg: Aberdeen (5) 4-2 (3) Tord
A brave effort but it was the 1st leg that lost it for us. We were doing well up until the half an hour mark where we collapsed, conceding 3 before half time. It seemed like the tie was over but we carried on fighting. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) and Tommy Eriksson (YP66) pulled it back to 3-2, just 1 goal away from going through on away goals. But we were hit on the counter 9 mins from time. This Aberdeen goal sealed the tie and put us out. We can be happy with our display in this competition this year though.

There was some good news for Sweden despite us not progressing. Malmo got lucky in the Champions League Champions Playoff Draw. They drew Hungarian champions, Fehervar which they comfortably beat 2-0 home and away to earn a spot in the CL Groups. They got Bayern Leverkusen, Barcelona and Stade Rennais FC, not bad, definately a chance of a few points against the French side there.

Also AIK managed to make it to the Euro Cup draw. They drew with Russian side Saturn away then beat them at home to earn a spot in a group with Lokomotiv Moscow, Dinamo and AC Milan. Definately a chance of some points against Dinamo and maybe Lokomotiv. Could possibly shock everyone and get into the knockouts.

League: Tord 1-1 AIK
We got off to the worst possible start as they scored within a minute of kickoff. We didn't totally fall apart as we held them to just the 1 goal before half time. In the 2nd half we hit back Tommy Eriksson (YP66) scoring in similar fashion to their goal, within a minute of the 2nd half starting. We continued to pressure them for the winner but we couldn't get it. I hate to say it but that could be the end of our title chances.

League: Tord 4-0 Mjallby
So we haven't completely lost all our goalscoring ability. It's been 10 league matches since we scored more than 1 goal in a game. We ended that run in emphatic style against a semi competent team as well. Hakan Nielsen (YP47) gave us a 1-0 lead at half time. But we continued to improve in the 2nd half as Erik Johannesson (YP56) netted our 2nd before Tommy Eriksson (YP66) bagged a brace.

League: Trelleborg 1-1 Tord
If our title chances weren't gone already they are now. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) gave us the lead in the 9th min but we failed to kill the game off. Trelleborg made us pay by scoring a late equaliser.

League: Vasteras SK 2-3 Tord
Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) put us 2-0 up and we looked to be cruising. It took us until the 91st min to put the game to bed, Tommy Eriksson (YP66) scoring our 3rd. There was still time for Vasteras to get a consolation as they netted in the 93rd min.

League: Tord 1-1 Malmo FF
Tommy Eriksson (YP66) continued his scintillating form by netting yet another goal. It wasn't enough to beat Malmo though as they equalised in the 2nd half to rescue a point.

League: IK Sirius 2-0 Tord
A disappointing loss as our season winds down to nothing. We are effectively guaranteed 2nd spot as llong as we don't completely balls everything up.

League: Assyriska 0-1 Tord
A scrappy win but a win none the less. It was always going to be a difficult game as Assyriska find themselves in a very tight relegation battle. Despite this we managed to see them off courtesy of a Hakan Nielsen (YP47) strike midway through the 1st half.

After the last few World Cup Qualifiers Joel Ekstrand stepped down as Sweden manager as he had failed to qualify them for the next World Cup. I immediately put my application in but unfortunately I was turned down

An even match, it's only shining moment being a reasonably good goal from Oskar Svedberg (YP69) in the 28th min. A fair result would have been a draw, not exactly the best home game of the season.

League: Kalmar FF 0-1 Tord
Ended the season on a high. A very good performance all round which deserved more goals in all honesty. Jonas Andersson (YP49) got the winner 8 mins from time.

We started off all guns blazing by scoring 12 in our opening 4 matches including a 5-2 drubbing of GAIS. The whole 1st half of the season was a huge success, the only losses coming against AIK (who would eventually become runaway champions) and away to eventual 3rd place side Malmo. Going into the final third of the season we were still very much in the title race and in a normal season we may even have been comfortably 1st place ourselves. We started to slip in mid August and September as the European games got to us. We kept dropping points, not that it mattered as AIK had walked to the title anyway. We recovered well in the final few games of the season to finish with 3 wins on the bounce and secure 2nd place. Our best season in a while, just a pity it was AIK's as well.



Swedish Cup


Lost away to Oddevold. Pretty disappointing considering they were in the league below but as you all know I don't care about the Swedish cup.


Europe

Fixtures

A much better campaign this time around although we did miss out on the group stages again. We thrashed Grbalj in the 2nd leg after a very shaky start in the 1st leg. Trans proved to be easier than expected as we beat them 3-1 at home and then 2-1 away to set us up with our 1st real test. In the end we paid for our many misses in the 1st leg. We should have scored a lot more than the 1 we did. They then beat us 4-2 at their place to knock us out the competition.

Another average season as they finish 4th out of 8 this time.


U19 League

Another 4th place finish, too many draws to properly contend for the top places.


Youth Players (At the Club)


Niklas Svensson (YP38) - An excellent season for him, one of his best. 17 clean sheets in 31 games with just 22 conceded.

Martin Hansson (YP43) - Only played the once this season as he is leaving at the end of the season. He just isn't cutting it anymore.

Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Mr reliable, never shone but did his job well. Great having a good versatile player in your team.

Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Has taken to his new left mid position surprisingly well. Pity his 32 and only has a few years left on him.

Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Was left out for most of the 1st half of the season just because of how well the other strikers played. Came into the picture more in the 2nd half but didn't perform great.

Erik Mansson (YP50) - A good season for him as ever. Great defending + handful of assists.

Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Continued his good form as well as providing a lot of great crosses.

Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Was a rock in the defensive mid position, helped link up the defence and midfield perfectly. We will really miss him when he retires. Luckily he still has a good 5 seasons on him.

Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Same as last season, good defending, while scoring a few goals. His place is under threat though mainly from Adam Karlsson (YP65).

Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Had a decent season again, our main source of assists.

Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Didn't get too many games but neither did any of the strikers as I was always rotating them. He gave me one of the better returns with 6 goals in 15 matches.

Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Unfortunately for him all the other strikers are performing well at some point during the season. He didn't, he is just a waste of £1k/week at the moment.

Victor Lindgren (YP62) -Limited chances but played well when needed. With Roger Magnusson (YP52) getting older can he make the left back position his own?

Olle Stenman (YP63) - Extended his contract for a year as he is back up to the 1st team, wasn't really needed so may let him go at the end of the season.

Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - After being awful last season he improved greatly this season. Still needs to perform much better though and I know he is capable.

Adam Karlsson (YP65) - His 1st season of continuous 1st team action and he revelled in it. A huge imrpovement on previous seasons and a great prospect for the future.

Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Who would have thought it, he pulled himself back from the brink. This was going to be his last year of contract but he has convinced me to extend it as he had a fantastic season. 12 in 27 may not sound great but for Tord that's incredible.

Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - Will be out the door at the end of the season. A real disappointment because at 1 point it looked like he had so much potential.

Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - Started most games and is really fighting for a regular 1st team place.

Oskar Svedberg (YP69) - In my opinion he was our player of the season. Incredible stuff from the 18 year old, he and Viktor Andersson (YP53) had formed a great partnership in the centre of midfield.

Phillip Nilsson (YP70) - Still not performing too well but we persist with him as I know he has good potential.

Axel Nordgren (YP71) - After his performances at the end of last season I expected him to have a blinder. He played okay but I expected better, he is only 18 so maybe I am being a bit harsh on him.

Eddie Rubin (YP72) - Still can't quite hack the league, with just 1 goal in 15 appearances from it this season. But he did score 5 in 6 in the Euro Cup qualifiers. Needs to improve in the league though as the fight for striker spots in the first team is a fierce one.

Joakin Hjelm (YP73) - Played in the cup games and performed well. Will be a suitable replacement for when Niklas Svensson (YP38) retires


Finances - The new stadium is really kicking in now. Despite the obscene loan we have to pay back every month we now make profit every month even the non European months. The European ties did give our numbers a healthy boost as well.

Unfortunately Malmo failed to get a single point in their Champions League group. AIK did slightly better in their Euro Cup group, managing a 4-2 home win over Dinamo to pick up their only points.

Our European coefficient has been boosted massively this season. Another couple of similar seasons and we would have another Champions League place :O

At the moment they are 50th in the World Rankings but did have a period recently where they were mid twenties. In my opinion it looks like Swedish national team are going downhill. Their best players have retired or are retiring and they don't have anyone of the same calibre to replace them.

As for the 2 Champions League places, that is a real possibility in 2 seasons time. Only if we perform as well in the European competitions as we did this year. If we get 2 teams in the group stages for the next 2 seasons then I'm sure we will gain another CL place which would be fantastic.

League: Tord 3-0 Elfsborg
A good start to the season as we comfortably demolished one of the league's weaker opposition. Eddie Rubin (YP72) scored as many goals in 3 1st half mins as he had in the previous 41 league matches for us. His 2 goals in 3 mins just past the half hour mark gave us a great platform leading into the 2nd half. Axel Nordgren (YP71) then added a 3rd in the 2nd half and could have had a few more. Hopefully the start of a great partnership between these two young strikers.

League: Mjallby 2-2 Tord
After our good start I was confident we could get at least point from this tough fixture. My hope was rapidly disappearaing as the 1st half progressed. Mjallby scored twice in the 1st half and we looked down and out. A couple of changes later and we looked a different team, Tommy Eriksson (YP66) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) both scored to level the scores. We had the momentum and really should have scored a winner but after being 2-0 down this sure does feel like a win.

League: Tord 3-0 Gefle
The fightback at Mjallby really gave us confidence going into this match. We destroyed Gefle in the early stages and throughout the match but found it really difficult to get the breakthrough. It eventually came early in the 2nd half, Adam Karlsson (YP65) heading home from a corner. Then the floodgates opened. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) and Albin Carlsson (YP55) both added to the scoreline late in the 2nd half as we well and truly beat Gefle.

League: IFK Goteborg 0-1 Tord
Got a bit lucky here as we struck early on with an Eddie Rubin (YP72) strike then held on for the rest of the match. IFK Goteborg had plenty of chances to draw level but their strikers must have caught something off my players 2 years ago.

League: Tord 3-0 Umea FC
Another quality home performance. our 3rd consecutive 3-0 win at Tord stadium sees the attendances shoots up to 20,000+. Like the match against Gefle we dominated 1st half but just couldn't score. That all changed 2nd half where once again we just needed one to get us going. Jonas Andersson (YP49) provided the breakthrough. His goal was quickly followed up by strikes from Tommy Eriksson (YP66) and Stefan Hedlund (YP64).

League: Atvidaberg 1-2 Tord
A tough match as Atvidaberg are on a roll having already beaten a couple of the title contenders. Luckily we managed to avoid a slip up but we had to come from behind to do so. All goals came in the 2nd half like with a fair few of my matches this season. They scored 7 mins after the restart but Eddie Rubin (YP72) bagged a brace. Both of them quality finishes.

League: Tord 3-2 Assyriska
Another 3 goals at home but this time we concede some. It looked like it was going to go to another goalless 1st half until Tommy Eriksson (YP66) and Eddie Rubin (YP72) struck in quick succession to put us 2-0 up. Assyriska never gave up and quickly pulled one back. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) restored our 2 goal advantage but only for a couple of minutes as Assyriska immediately went up the other end and scored. After a tense finale wemanaged to hang on to our 1 goal lead to maintain our winning streak.

League: IK Sirius 1-2 Tord
We were pretty fortunate to escape with all 3 points. This was very much a smash and grab situation. We played particularly poorly all match and IK Sirius should have had this match dead and buried by half time. They had only scored one which left the door open for us. An own goal from one of our rare attacks put us level in the 62nd min. Then 8 mins from time Axel Nordgren (YP71) tapped home the winner very much against the run of play.

I have been playing Erik Fahlman (YP74) as I'm short on left midfielders at the moment. He seems to be performing pretty well considering it's his 1st season. Playing him at left mid is also giving him lots of playing time as he is already 1st choice.

League: Malmo FF 1-0 Tord
Our 1st loss of the season and it was probably deserved. Malmo were just better on the day. Having said that we did have a few chances to score but couldn't take them.

League: Kalmar FF 0-1 Tord
Back to winning ways but still not playing convincingly. Axel Nordgren (YP71) scored the goal to edge us ahead in the 76th min.

League: Tord 3-1 Oddevold
One of our best performances yet. We went 1-0 down after just 27 seconds but things got even worse. Hakan Nielsen (YP47) saw red in the 23rd min, our 1st red card in over 3 seasons. Despite this we played much better than them and eventually Jonas Andersson (YP49) equalised just before half time. In the 2nd half we kept up our high performance level and were eventually rewarded for it. Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Tommy Eriksson (YP66) scored within a few minutes of each other to complete an amazing comeback.

Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord 4-0 Atvidaberg
Our 1st win in the Swedish cup for 6 years since we last won the competition back in 2036. Jonas Andersson (YP49) continued his scoring form with a hat trick. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) got the other goal as we completed the rout. The main reason we actually won in the cup is because I was actually forced to play my 1st team as we had 9 people out either injured or on international duty.

League: Tord 1-1 AIK
Possibly the worst time to have this match, still with 9 people out and quite a few others really not ready for another match after the heavy schedule. Yet we somehow put in our best performance against AIK in a long time and really deserved to win. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) gave us the lead in the 1st half. Unfortunately AIK scored from their 1st and only shot on target in the 83rd min.

League: GAIS 0-1 Tord
Stefan Zhubi (YP76) scored his 1st goal for the club as we scraped past GAIS. Lucky to claim all 3 points probably only deserved the draw.

League: Tord 3-0 Helsingborg
A much more convincing win. Eddie Rubin (YP72) bagged a brace and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) added another as we convincingly dispatched of Helsingborg.

League: Trelleborg 2-4 Tord
A goalfest in the 1st half. We quickly went 2-0 up through an own goal and an Eddie Rubin (YP72) strike. But Trelleborg hit back just as quickly to equalise at 2-2. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) then retook the lead right before half time. We were much better in the 2nd half and eventually we restored our 2 goal cushion, Eddie Rubin (YP72) added his 2nd of the match.

Swedish Cup 4th Round: Ramlosa Sodra 1-2 Tord
A 2nd win in a row in the cup. The draw has been kind to us so far. As Eddie Rubin (YP72) gave us the lead in the 12 min it looked like we would cruise to an expected win. But Ramlosa hit back before half time against the run of play. Erik Fahlman (YP74) found the perfect time to score his 1st goal for the club in the 78th min.

Euro Cup 2nd Qual Round 1st Leg: Tord 3-0 Gomel
We absolutely destroyed as they didn't manage a shot on target the whole match. Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us the lead in the 10th min. From then on it looked like we were never going to add to that until the final few minutes. An own goal and a Hakan Nielsen (YP76) header gave the scoreline a much fairer look.

League: Elfsborg 3-3 Tord
A fantastic match for the neutral not so much for us. Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us the lead but Elfsborg hit back to score twice before half time. The 2nd half was just as eventful, Eddie Rubin (YP72) equalised for us in the 70th min. But just as it looked like that would be enough for a point Elfsborg scored again. In the dying seconds Oskar Svedberg (YP69) headed home from a free kick to save a point.

Euro Cup 2nd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Gomel (0) 0-2 (5) Tord
We finished off the tie in a proffesional manner. Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Albin Carlsson (YP55) both scored in the 2nd half. We never looked in danger of conceding let alone losing the tie altogether.

In the Champions League AIK have comfortably seen off the Azerbaijani champions Qarabag Agdam 8-0 on aggregate.

League: Tord 1-0 IFK Goteborg
We seem to be handling the heavy match schedule better in this season than in previous seasons. Erik Fahlman (YP74) scored our 1st penalty of the season just before half time to give us a deserved 3 points over Goteborg.

Euro Cup 3rd Qual Round 1st Leg: Lugano 1-4 Tord
We were expected to win but even so the margin of victory was very impressive. Lugano took the lead after 6 mins to put an upset on the cards. But Eddie Rubin (YP72) began the fightback. Axel Nordgren (YP71) then added a 2nd half hat trick to round off a fantastic display.

Thanks, this is the best I have seen us play in a long while. Really surprised about how quickly it turned around. Just a season ago we were struggling really badly to score and now we are averaging over 2 a game.

League: Tord 2-1 Mjallby
Eddie Rubin (YP72) bagged another couple of goals one either side of half time to down Mjallby. Mjallby did get one back late on but they rarely threatened us with the possibility of an equaliser.

Euro Cup 3rd Qual Round 2nd Leg: Tord (6) 2-0 (1) Lugano
Comfortably finished off the tie Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Stefan Zhubi (YP76) each scored to send Lugano packing.

Elsewhere GAIS also went through to the 4th Qualifying round by beating Albanian side Flamurtari 7-4 on aggregate. While Malmo pulled off a big shock by dumping out Stuttgart (They finished 6th in the Bundesliga last season). They drew 0-0 away before beating them 2-0 in Sweden.

In the Champions League AIK just about saw off Georgian champions Dinamo Tbilisi. They drew 1-1 away then beat them 2-0 at home.

League: Gefle 1-2 Tord
After a goalless 1st half we went behind almost straight away in the 2nd half. A major shock was on the cards until Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) turned the game around for us. Embarrassment averted.

Swedish Cup Quarter Final: Falkenberg 1-2 Tord
We've been handed one of the easiest draws but unsurprisingly we still try and make it difficult for ourselves. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) gave us the lead in the 1st half but Falkenberg quickly equalised. They then got a red card seconds after the 2nd half started, should make it an easy victory for us you'd think. But no we struggled to create anything as Falkenberg went ultra defensive and attempted to ht us on the counter. Thankfully Adam Karlsson (YP65) put us out of our misery deep into injury time.

League: Umea FC 2-2 Tord
We looked so good all game yet it took a last minute goal to rescue us a point. Umea scored twice in the 1st half despite only having 1 shot on target in the whole match thanks to an own goal. Axel Nordgren (YP71) got a goal back just before half time then Eddie Rubin (YP72) equalised in the 92nd min. That goal calmed me down somewhat as I was livid we were losing this match in the 1st place.

Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 1st Leg: Metalurg Zp 0-3 Tord
I would consider this a shock result, I expected this to be a close tie with us being the slightly better team. After this match it looked like a no contest. Roger Magnusson (YP52) struck early on to give us the lead. Metalurg had been incredibly poor and were lucky to have all 11 men on the pitch by half time as the persistently fouled my players. Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) effectively closed off the tie and sent us through to the group stages with goals in the 2nd half.

League: Tord 2-0 Atvidaberg
Two quick 1st half goals caught out Atvidaberg and were enough for us to comfortably beat them. Adam Karlsson (YP65) and Olle Stenman (YP63) scored within the 1st half hour.

Euro Cup 4th Qual Round 2nd Leg: Tord (5) 2-2 (2) Metalurg Zp
After the 1st leg I was expecting a comfortable win but this time Metalurg actually showed up. We played out the 1st half 0-0 sitting back and being slightly more defensive than usual. I decided to go for it in the 2nd half which led to a flurry of goals. We twice went ahead through Axel Nordgren (YP71) first and then Jonas Andersson (YP49) later on. But both times Metalurg equalised, their 2nd goal coming in the 90th min.

It was not such good news for other Swedish teams though. Both GAIS and Malmo were handed tough draws in the shape of St Etienne and Napoli respectively. GAIS managed a creditable draw in the 1st leg before losing the 2nd 6-0. Malmo were thrashed 4-1 and 3-0.

In the Champions League AIK drew Kobenhavn for a place in the Group Stages. AIK drew with them 2-2 away in the 1st leg but then inexplicably lost the home leg 3-1. No matter, they will join us in the Euro Cup Group draw instead.

League: Assyriska 1-1 Tord
Hakan Nielsen (YP47) gave us the lead in just the 8th min but barely 2 mins later Assyriska were level. After going so long without a single red card we now picked up 2 in a season. Adam Karlsson (YP65) recieved his marching orders in the 67th min. We decided to sit back and take a draw after the red as my players weren't in the best of shape after having 9 games in a month.








We got Steaua, Dinamo Moscow and Monaco in our group so definitely the possibility of points.

AIK got AEK, Villareal and Shakhtar. Possible points at AEK but not sure about the other 2 teams.

League: Tord 2-1 Kalmar FF
A much needed 2 week international break preceded this game. Erik Fahlman (YP74) took just 2 mins to take the lead against Kalmar. Kalmar equalised with their only shot on target in the game after 20 mins. We were the team doing all the pushing for the next goal and eventually it came through Oskar Svedberg (YP69) in the 2nd half.

Euro Cup Group G: AS Monaco 3-0 Tord
Aah, I've missed these types of games. The ones you have no hope of winning and it's just damage limitation from the start . As expected we were dominated. Our only consolation is we actually defended really well and restircted them to long shots mostly. Unfortunately with a team of this quality they score regularly from these long shots.

League: Oddevold 3-2 Tord
A case of the European hangover. We deservedly went behind midway through the 1st half but somehow Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Stefan Hedlund (YP64) both scored in the last 5 mins of the 1st half. We started the 2nd half 2-1, a very unfair scoreline but it didn't take Oddevold long to sort it out. They scored twice to retake the lead and get all 3 points.

League: Tord 3-1 IK Sirius
Axel Nordgren (YP71) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) quickly gave us a 2 goal advantage before IK Sirius pulled one back early in the 2nd half. Phillip Nilsson (YP70) put the points beyond doubt as he restored our 2 goal cushion with 10 mins remaining.

Swedish Cup Semi Final: Tord 1-0 Oddevold
Our route to the final has been incredibly lucky. 2 Premiership teams (6th and 12th in the table) at home and 2 2nd tier sides away from home. We got revenge on Oddevold for our league defeat just a week ago. It took us a while to actually break the deadlock, Axel Nordgren (YP71) getting the winner 15 mins from time.

Euro Cup Group G: Tord 2-1 Steaua
A fantastic and thoroughly deserved win. We were quicker out the blocks and made them pay for it. Erik Johannesson (YP56) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) both scored early on to give us a 2-0 lead at half time. Steaua were all over us in the 2nd half and despite them getting one back we held our nerve to get the win.

League: Tord 1-1 Malmo FF
The 1st of a few tough fixtures in the league. Not the ideal result as I thought we could have won this but it'll do. Axel Nordgren (YP71) gave us the lead in the 1st half but we paid the price for not finishing the game off as Malmo equalised in the last few mins.

League: AIK 4-2 Tord
Oh dear. We may have started well in the previous couple of matches but we certainly didn't htis match. AIK scored 3 in the opening 12 mins!!!! Eddie Rubin (YP72), just back from injury, managed to make some sort of fight from it by scoring twice in the 2nd half. AIK were having none of it though as they added a 4th in the 70th min to finish us off.

Euro Cup Group G: Tord 1-1 Dinamo Moscow
So so close to a 2nd win in a row. FirstlyAxel Nordgren (YP71) missed a penalty in the 1st half. After continous pressure Jonas Andersson (YP49) finally broke the deadlock with a goal in the 77th min. It looked like it would be enough to win but with the last kick of the game Dinamo equalised to break the hearts of Tord fans.

League: Tord 1-1 GAIS
The end to a disastrous month after such a promising start. This match was like a carbon copy of the Dinamo match. We dominated but struggled to score. Finally got our opening goal, from Dejan Ohlsson (YP68), in the 73rd min but GAIS equalised in the 92nd min to leave the title race wide open.

November 2042



League: Helsingborg 2-2 Tord
Well we certainly know how to bottle it. It was a terrible performance which leaves us winless in 4 in the league. We twice went ahead from an own goal in the 38th min and from Eddie Rubin (YP72) in the 58th min but Helsingborg equalised within minutes both times. Thankfully Malmo lost 5-4 in a thriller of a match against IK Sirius. This leaves us 2 point ahead of both Malmo and AIK with 1 game to play. Both have better goal difference so a win is a must in the final game.

Niklas Svensson (YP38) racked up his 500th league appearance for the club in this match, fantastic achievement.

Euro Cup Group G: Dinamo Moscow 3-1 Tord
We were well beaten but it still was a valiant effort. We held it to a goalless 1st half but Dinamo quickly amended that with 2 quick 2nd half goals. Jonas Andersson (YP49) got 1 back with 20 mins to go. I decided to go all out attacking to try and find an equaliser and get some sort of revenge for the previous match between us. Unfortunately it backfired as Dinamo added a 3rd in the dying minutes.

League: Tord 3-0 Trelleborg
A fitting way to end the campaign just like we started it, with 3-0 home win. It was comfortable in the end as we showed no signs of a side who had failed to win in their last 6 matches. Tommy Eriksson (YP66), Eddie Rubin (YP72) and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) racked up the goals against a very poor Trelleborg.

We finally reclaimed our crown as kings of Sweden after going 3 long years without it. Eddie Rubin (YP72) was also handed the Swedish Premier Division Golden Boot which is the 1st time a Tord player has won it since Peter Jansson (YP33) (2031 and 2033). The only other Tord player to win it was Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) (2025). He's in some very good company there and what's more he is only 19!!!

Swedish Cup Final: GAIS 1-0 Tord
Okay maybe we aren't total Kings of Sweden. GAIS were the slightly better team and just about deserved the win but we did have a couple of chances to get a goal which we failed to take. I'm not too fussed about the loss, it would have been nice to do the double especially as we had come so far in the cup for the 1st time in what seems like forever.

End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2042

We started off perfectly scoring freely, not conceding many and, most importantly, winning. We won 7 of our 1st 8 games before suffering our 1st defeat of the season. That was to be but a minor blip as we then went unbeaten in 14 matches (10 wins 4 draws). You would have thought with this form we would be walking the league but that wasn't to be. Both AIK and Malmo had done a good job of keeping up with us. So much so that when we did lose our 2nd of the season we found ourselves only 4 points clear and still to play both Malmo and AIK.

We had a tough run in as we still had to play 2nd, 3rd and 4th as well as 2 other top half teams. Although Malmo's and AIK's were only slightly better. Anyway we bottled it more than Man City (irl) but somehow got away with it. We drew with Malmo before losing to AIK effectively putting us on level points with them both. We then drew our next 2 games against GAIS and Helsingborg and I thought that's it we must have lost it now. But it seems like Malmo and AIK had had a tough time of it as they both dropped a lot of points as well.

This meant he came down to the final game of the season, Malmo vs AIK and Tord vs Trelleborg. We were 2 points clear but had worse GD than both of them so a win was a must. Thankfully we did it and without too much hassle. Our 5th Premier Division title and our 1st for 4 years.

Fixtures

Finally we had a cup run worth talking about. We demolished Atvidaberg 4-0 in the 3rd Round to set up a tie against then Swedish First Division Elite leaders Ramlosa Sodra. We managed to stumble past them and Falkenberg in the next round in similar fashion. In both games we needed late winners to progress after being the much better side.

We drew Oddevold in the semis which was an easy enough game given our amazing recent home record. It took us a while to score against them despite us battering their goal. When we did score they didn't have much in reply as we cruised to the final. Unfortunately it all went downhill there. My players had just come off the high of winning the league and it seemed they weren't too fussed about getting additional silverware. GAIS played slightly better than us and in the end they got what they deserved: A 1-0 win in the final.


Europe

Fixtures

We got fantastic qualifying round draws especially compared to the other Swedish teams. Firstly we dispatched Gomel 5-0 on aggregate, 2 easy wins which we were never in any danger of losing. The next round wasn't too much harder, a great away performance which we won 4-1 practically guaranteed us a place in the next round. We killed off the tie in the next leg to win 6-1 and set us up with Metalurg Zp. I wasn't sure what to expect from them, we were apaprently meant to be pretty evenly matched although that did not show in the 1st leg. We were rampant as we notched up a 3-0 away win whcih they never recovered from. We drew the home leg 2-2 but I don't care as overall we had beaten them.

That got us into the group stage where we were given Steaua, Dinamo Moscow and Monaco. After getting thrashed 3-0 at Monaco we recovered to beat Steaua and so nearly beat Dinamo if it weren't for a last min equaliser. Dinamo then beat us 3-1 in the return leg. So far we've had an exceptional run but despite our good start in the group I doubt we can get to the knockouts.

Reserve League

Finished 5th this time also managing to draw 8 of their 14 games.


U19 League

A 5th place finish, their only claim to fame is being the only team to beat AIK.


Youth Players (At the Club)


Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Not his best but still a good return from him. He passed a huge milestone of 500 league appearances for the club. However next season may be his last.

Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Starting to wind down a bit now, his age is getting to him as he could only manage just over half of the games this season.

Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Has gone back to left back now that Erik Fahlman (YP74) has joined the squad. Still as impressive as ever.

Jonas Andersson (YP49) - His best season ever for us and yet he has been overshadowed. Here's my chance to say how well he played especially in the cups where our other strikers struggled this season.

Erik Mansson (YP50) - Was the victim of a vicious Viktor Andersson (YP53) tackle in pre season where he broke his leg and was out for 5 months. Don't worry karma hit back the very next day as Viktor Andersson (YP53) suffered back problems and was out for 6 weeks. When he came back he seemed to struggle a bit, doesn't look like the same player he was last season.

Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Not as good as last season but still was excellent.

Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Not his greatest season, firstly he managed to break our own player's leg before injuring himself. When he got back he played below par and then got injured again.

Albin Carlsson (YP55) - A decent season although we did concede a few more than we normally do.

Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Really struggled this season, getting a broken foot and being out for 4 months definitely didn't help..

Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Played reasonably well with 4 goals and 5 assists in 11 games but he was still 4th choice striker. He also wants to leave as he isn't playing enough which I might have to accept.

Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Only a couple of appearances off the bench as he prepares to leave the club at the end of the season.

Victor Lindgren (YP62) -Still struggling to break into the 1st team although I did make a conscious effort of playing as much as possible. Unfortunately he was another victim of a long term injury. Unlike others he didn't let it affect hit performance on the pitch.

Olle Stenman (YP63) - I really don't know whether to keep him. He played really well this season but there others with the potential of becoming much better. I think he will have to go at the end of the season.

Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Again he wasn't great but he stays in the 1st for lack of anyone better on the right wing.

Adam Karlsson (YP65) - His 1st season of continuous 1st team action and he revelled in it. A huge imrpovement on previous seasons and a great prospect for the future.

Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Mainly came off the bench this season. Not a bad return, really says a lot how with that many goals he still 4th choice striker.

Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - I thought he was excellent in his 1st season as proper 1st choice midfielder.

Oskar Svedberg (YP69) - Not as good as last season but still was very impressive.

Phillip Nilsson (YP70) - Unfortunately with all the talent developing around him I don't think he is going to make it. Don't be surprise if he is on his way soon.

Axel Nordgren (YP71) - Played well, even upped his game when Eddie Rubin (YP72) went out injured towards the end of the season.

Eddie Rubin (YP72) - Well, well, well. After scoring just 2 goals in last 41 league matches prior to this season who was expecting him to be lifting the golden boot at the end of it. Incredible stuff. He is only 19 as well, let's hope that wasn't just a flash in the pan and he can keep it up consistently over the years. He was unlucky to just miss out on the player of the division award as well.

Joakin Hjelm (YP73) - Again played in the cup games as he waits it out for Svensson (YP38) to retire.

Erik Fahlman (YP74) - Came straight into the team mainly becasue he was the only actual left winger we had. But he proved he wasn't a weak link in the team. Hopefully in the next couple of season he can improve to become a great left winger.

Erik Westberg (YP75) - Talk about an unfortunate time to come out the youth system as a striker. He will probably have to be let go as there is just no way he will get enough playing time.

Stefan Zhubi (YP76) - He wasn't great in the league but really upped his game in the Euro Cup. Was named Premier Division Rookie of the Year as well. An award previously won by no less than 6 other Tord players. (Martin Hansson (YP43) (2026), Jonas Andersson (YP49) (2029), Erik Mansson (YP50) (2030), Albin Carlsson (YP55) (2032), Alexander Pettersson (YP61) (2037), Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) (2041))


Finances - A big profit due to the European run. Now have top facilities and Stadium can't be expanded anymore so nothing really to do with the cash except start saving it.

A little Euro update and boy has it been eventful:




I thought I had done ok in my group but AIK have just blown us out the water. Admittedly they had the slightly easier group but even so they were very impressive. As you know we managed to beat Steaua and draw against Dinamo to get our points. AIK beat both AEK and Shakhtar home and away to qualify for the knockout stages. If they continue to play this well then we may even get an extra CL place a year early.


AIK have drawn Dinamo Kyiv in the 1st knockout round. One of the better draws they could have hoped for. Especially with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City in there.
