Absolutely brilliant, have read all the way through since last night. Disappointing that you lost a season, but maybe you'll come back even better. Also, what kind of attendances have you been getting in your new stadium?
Thanks for the replys, I have managed to get the default logos working, that'll have to do for now. However my laptop seems to be on its last legs so if I don't post updates in a while its probably because my laptop has died. I am hoping to get a new one for xmas fingers crossed.
In the new stadium I was getting 14k attendances when the capacity was around 15k. Not quite full but well on its way.
I hate when that happens, but you have to at least love the restore to previous version option! Losing one year is disheartening but not as upsetting as crashing a save to never be able to open it again. All the history, work, fun and most importantly, statistics gone!
Hopefully the next bunch of youth players are just as good, if not better. Best of luck in building Tord higher!
I've been reading this since about 1pm today and it has been 15.5 pages of absolute bliss followed by some dreadful news! An absolutely epic and inspiring thread!
August 2038
League: Tord 5-0 Orebro
We made a stunning start to the match with 4 goals coming inside the 1st half an hour. Jorgen Melki (YP37) got the 1st after 4 mins before Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) netted a 19 min hat trick. Albin Carlsson (YP55) got the final goal in the 90th min to complete the rout.
Champions League 3rd Qual 2nd Leg: Bodo-Glimt (1) 1-1a (1) Tord
Despite the last match thrashing of Orebro we couldn't take that form into this match. We struggled badly again and it showed when they took a deserved lead. We improved in the 2nd half and Jonas Andersson (YP49) got our equaliser. We didn't concede again but we didn't exactly leave on a high. Albin Carlsson (YP55) saw red for a violent challenge and Viktor Andersson (YP53) got himself injured.
League: Syrianska FC 2-2 Tord
We started off well, Jonas Andersson (YP49) putting us ahead after just 3 mins but complacency got the better of us. We conceded twice late in the 1st half despite being the better team for the majority of the match. Jonas Andersson (YP49) restored parity just before the hour mark. After that it was Syrianska pushing for the winner but in the end a draw was a fair result.
League: Tord 0-0 IFK Goteborg
An even game, no one had any major chances and a draw was probably a fair outcome.
Champions League Playoff 1st Leg: Tord 1-0 Partizan
We dominated them and deservedly took the lead through Erik Johannesson (YP56) early in the 1st half. We really did need more goals in the 2nd half but we couldn't make our dominance count.
League: Atvidaberg 4-5 Tord
An incredible game, one of the best i've seen in this save. We started off badly going 1-0 down after just 4 mins and 2-1 down by half time. Erik Johannesson (YP56) with our only goal of the 1st half. Jorgen Melki (YP37) levelled things up 10 mins into the 2nd half but we went behind again for the 3rd time in the match soon after. With 20 mins remaining Peter Jansson (YP33) fired into the top corner from just outside the area to make it 3-3. With 5 mins remaining they headed home from a corner to send us behind yet again but we weren't finished just yet. Hakan Larsson (YP35) scored a screamer from just outside the area in the 89th min before Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) headed into the bottom corner from a cross in the 97th min to give us the win.
Champions League: Playoff 2nd Leg: Partizan (3) 3-0 (1) Tord
That's why we needed to make our dominance count at home. Partizan were just too strong for us at their home ground. The scoreline was a bit harsh as they scored twice on the counter as we looked for an away goal.
League: Tord 0-0 Trelleborg
Our league woes continue, we are drawing far too many games which we should be and need to be winning. Especially games like this against bootm of the tabel Trelleborg.

September 2038
U21 European Championship Quals Group 9: Sweden U21's 2-1 Faroe U21's
A flurry of early goals followed by absolutely nothing for the rest of the match. Alexander Pettersson (YP61) and Olle Stenamn (YP63) gave us 2-0 lead after 15 mins. They scored in the 23rd min but didn't seem too bothered in getting another as they just sat back for the rest of the match.
U21 European Championship Quals Group 9: Sweden U21's 0-0 Slovenia U21's
We finish the campaign rather poorly which sees us stay in 3rd place.
League: Tord 2-1 Helsingborg
We found it tough to break them down but eventually a penalty deep in 1st half injury time did the trick, Jorgen Melki (YP37) converted it. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) quickly made it 2-0, their defence had turned into a shambles. They got a consolation late on but we held on for the win.
Euro Cup Group E: Tord 0-1 Ajax
A very good effort against a very good side. They did have a lot of shots but we restricted them to long shots and tough chances. In terms of clear chances we were even but our inability to finish our chances let us down. We could have quite easily nicked a point here.
League: Mjallby 0-0 Tord
Should have won it, Mjallby hardly saw any of the ball and hardly got any chances whereas we had a fair few. More points dropped.
League: Tord 2-2 AIK
Again we should have won but this time it was our defence that let us down. A defensive mix up helped AIK take the lead which fortunately didn't last long. Jorgen Melki (YP37) converted from the spot 7 mins later to level things up. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) completed the comeback with a strike on the hour mark but AIK equalised with a screamer from 25 yards.
Euro Cup Group E: Omonoia 1-0 Tord
Despite being the easier of the teams we have to play in the group we made a right meal of it. Things looked okay in the 1st half, pretty even and still 0-0. Then after the break we just collapsed as they had chance after chance, we had a few oursleves but nothing compared to them. They finished one of their numerous opportunities to get the 3 points.
October 2038
League:Tord 0-0 Malmo FF
A draw was probably a fair result after a dismal display by us. Now just 2 wins in the last 8 league matches.
Friendly: Sweden U21's 0-0 Austria U21's
An even game with many chances and shots but only 2 of them found their way on target.
Friendly: Latvia U21's 1-2 Sweden U21's
Latvia looked the better team in the 1st half, taking a deserved lead in the 18th min as well. But the turning point in the game was a Latvian red card just before half time for a 2nd bookable offence. Olle Stenman (YP63) and Ivan Malmstrom turned the game around with a goal apiece.
League: Assyriska 1-2 Tord
Assyriska took a shock lead but we recovered and fought back. Viktor Andersson (YP53) equalised just before half time before Jonas Andersson (YP49) left it late to grab the win.
Euro Cup Group E: Tord 1-5 Liverpool
Obviously they were the better team but no way did they deserve that large win. Luckily we scored so the scoreline doesn't seem too bad, Jorgen Melki (YP37) headed home from a corner for our consolation.
League: IK Sirius 1-3 Tord
Jorgen Melki (YP37) added two more goals to his season's tally. Both were headers at the back post from free kicks. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) sealed the result with a 3rd in the 85th min. A great result which puts us right up there with 2 games remaining.

Tight finish, especially if you can win the game in hand.
AIK's goal difference is unbelievable! Insane amount of goals scored! You need another goal scorer to come through the ranks!
November 2038
League: Tord 1-1 Umea FC
A funny game, hardly anything happened for most parts of the match until the dying seconds of the 1st half. Peter Jansson (YP33) opened the scoring but before we had even finished celebrating Umea had equalised with the last kick of the half. It's left us with an uphill battle to claim the title now. 2 poinst behind AIK with 1 game remaining. Although they have to play 4th place Malmo FF whereas we have got lowly Kalmar.
Euro Cup Group D: Liverpool 5-2 Tord
We again shipped 5 against them but this time we scored twice. To be fair we didn't deserve 1 but it gives the scoreline a slightly more respectable look. We coped with them well in the 1st half in general, except for a 4 minute window towards the end where we conceded twice. They continued scoring goals regularly after the interval but Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) scored a consolation before an own goal in injury time made it 2.
League: Kalmar FF 0-2 Tord
A big game but it didn't realy look like we were up for it. Kalmar had the better 1st half and our 1st goal definately came against the run of play. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) scored just before the half hour. Just when it looked like it could be our day Erik Mansson (YP50) saw red for hsi 2nd bookable offence. We faced a struggle now to hold on as we were looking ropey anyway. But the red card seemed to have made us play better as we doubled our lead in the 2nd half through Tommy Eriksson (YP66) again and generally we handled them well.
A good 2-0 win but was it good enough for the title?
End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2038
League Table, League Graph
Squad
We had a fantastic start to the league, notching up 7 straight wins and conceding just once. However a loss in form towards the end of April put us back into reality. We seemed to pick it up a bit during the Champions League qualifiers which helped us stay around 1st place until another blip kept us in the pack of about 5 teams vying for 1st place. We struggled all the way to the end of the season but luckily so did everyone else. In the end it rested on the last day, we were 2 points behind AIK who were playing 4th place at home, we were playing 11th away. We managed to win 2-0 despite being down to 10 men for the most of the match, incredibly AIK lost 3-1 (their 1st home loss all season) to gift us the title.
Swedish Super Cup
Lost out in extra time this time. Umea were the better team and deserved to win.
Swedish Cup
Fell in the 3rd Round again as we unluckily drew AIK away from home.
Europe
We didn't exactly have a glittering Champions League campaign as we struggled past Nyiregyhaza and Bodo-Glimt. A home win against Partizan gave us a glimmer of hope of reaching the CL group stage. But it wasn't to be, a resounding 3-0 loss in the away leg put us in the Euro Cup Group draw. We got Liverpool, Ajax and Omonioa. We started well with only narrow losses to Ajax and Omonoia before 2 big losses against Liverpool. Was to be expected really though.
U19's
League
Finished 3rd, some way off AIK.
Also got to the Semi final of the cup.
Youth Players (At the Club)
Peter Jansson (YP33) - Had a pretty poor season but then again so did all our strikers.
Hakan Larsson (YP35) - Was hampered by a couple of bad injuries, wasn't at his best throughout the season.
Jorgen Melki (YP37) - Still one of our best players despite his age.
Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Conceded just 15 in the league but his position will be under threat from Pierre Nilsson (YP67) in the coming seasons.
Niclas Carlsson (YP39) - Was average all season but is slowly being pushed out the team by younger players.
Erik Carlsson (YP41) - Didn't play many and I won't be renewing his contract so next season will be his last.
Martin Hansson (YP43) - Played a lot better than in previous seasons but I'm not sure he will be able to keep it up.
Joakim Dahlberg (YP44) - Didn't make an appearance and will be gone after next season.
Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Not as good as the past few seasons but was still a handy player to have in midfield.
Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Another injury hit season but when he played he played well.
Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Played okay, not many goals but we struggled in general for goals anyway. Got injured toward the end of the season just as he was getting going.
Erik Mansson (YP50) - A fantastic season he was a rock at the back.
Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Even better than Erik Mansson (YP50), got a few goals and some assists. Just what I like to see in a fullback.
Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Continued his good form from last season and went even better.
Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Another defender to have a brilliant season. We were lucky they all did as our strikers were badly misfiring.
Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Struggled at the start of the season but burst into life in the 2nd part.
Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - The best out of our strikers with just 8 goals :S.
Oskar Johansson (YP60) - Got a lot more game time but still struggled, may soon be out the door.
Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Was probably one of the worst players this season but he is still young so I can forgive him. However his future is in doubt after he wanted ridiculous wage demands which I am not prepared to give to someone of his potential.
Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Only made a few appearances due to the rest of our brilliant defenders.
Olle Stenman (YP63) - Getting better, will soon be ready for a starting place.
Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Didn't build on last season at all, may be on his way if he doesn't pick it up.
Adam Karlsson (YP65) - A great prospect but will struggle to get a 1st team place, what I would do for some decent mids or strikers to come through instead of a load of defenders
Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - A poor debut season but has great potential
Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - The long term replacement for Niclas Svensson (YP38) had a good 1st season and may be 1st choice sooner than thought.
Retiring Players
Bojan Ohlsson (YP29)
League History
Made 305 league appearances for the club and over 350 in all competitions. A great player for the club but he was in decline the past few years so it was probably his time to go. Have kept him on as a coach after he retired.
Finances - £3.66M profit this season, need all the money we can get so we can expand our stadium.

Some teams got into Europe via winning or getting to the final of a cup, here is a key:
CL - Champions League
EC - Euro Cup
FA - FA Cup
LC - League Cup
FC - French Cup
GC - German Cup
IC - Italian Cup
SC - Spanish Cup
If there is nothing next to a team's name then they got into Europe via their league position
Well done on snatching it, even if it was against AIK, who I have a soft spot for.

Yeovil League History
In the cups they managed to reach the Quarter final once in the FA Cup and once in the League Cup. They've been more succesful in the JPT where they got to the final in 2010/11 and, when entered into it, are regularly in the Quarters or higher
Thanks a lotIf only we could do that well in real life haha

How many of your home grown players have made it as Icons/Legends? Peter Jansson surely?
Simply, epic! Lol. Good luck in CL qualifiers dude.
Could you post a SS if newcastles history please??
None are icons or even legends although Peter Jansson (YP33) and Jorgen Melki (YP37) are both with me on the favoured personnel list.
Thanks,
Newcastle League History
They've had little success in the cups reaching the semi final once in the FA Cup and reaching the Quarter final of the League Cup twice.
In the 5 times they have been in the JPT they have got to the Quarter Final 4 times but have never won it.
December 2038
Euro Cup Group D: Ajax 5-0 Tord
We started strong but quickly began to fade, conceding 4 in the 2nd half after a decent 1st half. Had a few chances of our own which we should have put away although it would have made no difference to the outcome.
Euro Cup Group D: Tord 1-1 Omonoia
Our 1st long overdue points of the group. Typically they come from our worst performance. Omonoia dominated us after scoring early on but Erik Johannesson (YP56) hit back from our only shot on target in the whole match. We hung on for a point which, from our 6 performances in the group, I think we deserved.
In the new youth intake this year we got another Alexander Pettersson who funnily enough plays as a striker as well. Could get confusing if he gets good enough to make it to the 1st team![]()

Any news about your Tord career, mate?![]()
Read this thread from page 1 to here over the past few days. Epic journey and has definately inspired me to try something like it once I'm back into FM (been playing CM9798 for the past 18months, bit of a shock to get all the new features back again!).
Would something like this be doable outside of Europe, if so what do people recommend? I was thinking Brazil - just because the youth could get very good. But I seem to recall their lower leagues being hellish...?
Anyway fantastic achievements hrbfcrule, hope you can keep it up! I'll be following definately - massive shame about the crash as that Ceesay looked pretty good.
What is your rule regarding parent clubs?
EDIT: Found it, in case anyone was wondering and starting a fountain of youth challenge, hrbfcrule allows parent clubs but doesn't take loan players.

February 2039
Friendly: France U21's 2-0 Swden U21's
We played well and deserved at least a draw but we missed a glorious chance to take the lead early on. France then capitalised on a couple of half chances to win the match
March 2039
Swedish Super Cup: Tord 0-0p Helsingborg
A cagey game with only 2 shots on target in total. Helsingborg were the slightly better team and got what they deserved in the shootout, winning it 5-4.
League: Tord 1-1 Umea FC
The 1st time we haven't won the opening league game of the season in 5 seasons. We took the lead 7 mins before half time, Jonas Andersson (YP49) getting it. But we switched off as the half drew to a close and ending up conceding a silly goal. Umea were on the front foot throughout the 2nd half but we held on and were lucky to claim a point.
League: Kalmar FF 0-1 Tord
A much improved performance and a deserved win. Chance after chance passed us by until the 74th min when Tommy Eriksson (YP66) came off the bench to score the only goal of the game.
Good to see this back.
April 2039
League: Tord 3-0 GAIS
A confident home display, Jorgen Melki (YP37) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) put us 2 up by half time. We continued to control the match in the 2nd half and Viktor Andersson (YP53) sealed the win with our 3rd.
League: Oddevold 0-2 Tord
Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Jorgen Melki (YP37) scored either side of half time. A great follow up to the 3-0 win last week.
League: Tord 2-1 Malmo FF
A big test for us and we passed with flying colours. It was a shaky start as we conceded in just the 3rd min but we rallied well and a Jorgen Melki (YP37) brace in the 2nd half sealed a well deserved win.
League: Syrianska FC 1-1 Tord
Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored his 4th in 6 games to give us an early lead. Syrianska hit back with their only shot on target in the whole match. We spent the whole 2nd half knocking on the door for thew winner but we just couldn't find it. Even when they were reduced to 10 men for the last 15 mins we failed to win it.
May 2039
League: Tord 1-1 AIK
We played terribly and were very lucky to escape with a draw. Of course it was Jonas Andersson (YP49) who scored our goal.
League: IK Sirius 0-0 Tord
Our winless streak continues but we slightly improved our performance in this match.
Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord p3-3 Atvidaberg
We played really well but we still contrived to balls it up. Jonas Andersson (YP49) put us 1 up before Tommy Eriksson (YP66) quickly made it 2. Atvidaberg got 1 back in the 66th min but 2 mins later Tommy Eriksson (YP66) restored our 2 goal advantage. Despite this we conceded twice in the last 10 mins to make sure the game went to extra time and then penalties. This time we won the shootout 5-4.
League: Tord 0-1 IFK Goteborg
Our 1st loss of the season and it was coming. A string of bad performances where we have just managed to scrape draws, finally our luck ran out.
League: Helsingborg 0-0 Tord
After such a promising start to the season our winless streak has now stretched to 6 games. A dire performance all round especially upfront.
League: Tord 2-1 Mjallby
Our long awaited victory has finally arrived. Martin Hansson (YP43) scored his 1st goal of the season but Mjallby equalised against the run of play. Who else but Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored the winner in the 81st min.

Oh dear, hope you can catch up after that month though it'll take a lot of effort.
Great to see that Tord is back. Good luck with the season.
Pretty dissapointing youth intakes lately.
Anyway best of luck.
Good to see this still going! Been away for a couple of months and its great to come back to news of another title win!
A shame about the start to the new season, but if the losses stay off the board, you are always a chance.
keep up the outstanding work.
Thanks guys
June 2039
League: Orebro 1-1 Tord
We went behind to a 28th min penalty but Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) equalised just before the hour mark. That gave us the momentu to go on to try and win the game but we just couldn't score another.
League: Atvidaberg 0-0 Tord
Another match we really should have won, these draws are really hurting us at the moment.
League: Tord 1-0 Assyriska
A scrappy but much needed win. Jonas Andersson (YP49) got the only goal of the game late in the 2nd half.
Swedish Cup 4th Round: Mjallby e2-1 Tord
We got absolutely thrashed and we were really lucky to last to extra time. Admittedly I put out a weakened team to save the 1st team for the league and european matches coming up. Things could have been so different if Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) had converted a 25th min penalty. But instead Mjallby took the lead a few mins later. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) eventually did score in the 78th min to take it to extra time. Mjallby continued to batter us and eventually got the winner.
![]()
Still only lost once though!
Small margins. Do you think you're getting weaker or the other teams are getting stronger?
July 2039
League: Umea FC 3-2 Tord
We had an absolutely shocking start. Conceding 3 times in the opening 36 mins. But our all out attack approach in the 2nd half in the hope of gaining anything almost worked. Alexander Pettersson (YP61) and Martin Hansson (YP43) both scored to set up a great finish but unfortunately we couldn't turn our momentum into goals but we came up short.
League: Tord 2-1 Kalmar FF
A quickfire double in the 1st half from Hakan Neilsen (YP47) and Erik Johannesson (YP56) set us on our way. Kalmar hit back almost immediately but we managed to close out the rest of the game.
Champions League 2nd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Sutjeska 2-3 Tord
We twice went behind surprisingly to Sutjeska but fought back each time and eventually went on to win it. Should have rteally cruised it though. A Jonas Andersson (YP49) brace and a goal from Alexander Pettersson (YP61) helped us avoid the upset.
League: Syrainska Kerburan 0-0 Tord
A tough game only 3 days after our European outing = bore draw. I'll take a point from this as we could have quite easily lost.
Champions League 2nd Qual Rnd 2nd Leg: Tord (4) 1-0 (2) Sutjeska
Sealed our way to the next stage with a contolling display. We held possession well to frustrate them and then hit them early in the 2nd half with an Alexander Pettersson (YP61) goal to effectively end the tie.
League: GAIS 1-1 Tord
Really struggled as our busy schedule catches up with us. Jorgen Melki (YP37) took the lead from the spot but GAIS immediately equalised before bossing the remainder of the game. A lucky point.
Champions League 3rd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Tord 0-0 Haka
A disappointing home draw but at least we didn't concede which will make the next leg a much easier task.
League: Tord 3-0 Oddevold
Nothing like a good thrashing of lowly Oddevold to get the confidence up. Stefan Hedlund (YP64), Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Alexander Pettersson (YP61) all getting on the scoresheet in the process.
August 2039
Champions League 3rd Rnd Qual 2nd Leg: Haka (3) 3-4 (4) Tord
What. A. Game. And boy were we lucky. We were just minutes away from crashing out of Europe before an incredible comeback. We had a very bad start, going 2-0 down in the 1st half. Things got even worse after the break as they grabbed a 3rd just minutes after the restart. I went all out attack from then on with some fantastic results. Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored twice in 2 mins just after the hour mark to put us within reach of the 4th qualifying round. That dream kept getting further and further away as thye minutes slipped by. That was until the 91st min when a corner was whipped in and Viktor Andersson (YP53) rose up to head home the equaliser. Then to add insult to injury Martin Hansson (YP43) scored right from the kick off to give us the win.
League: Malmo 3-0 Tord
No miracle comeback this time as we get thrashed by Malmo who have no European competition to worry about.
League: Tord 1-0 Syrianska FC
Recovered from that heavy defeat to easily see off bottom team Syrainska FC. The scoreline doesn't really do us justice as we dominated them for pretty much the whole match. Alexander Pettersson (YP61) was the only person to break their resistance though.
Champions League 4th Rnd Qual 1st Leg: Austria Wien 0-2 Tord
We were handed a tough draw but we somehow came away with a shocking win. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored our goals but we could have had a few more. This was by no means a lucky win, we fully deserved it.
League: AIK 0-0 Tord
A good point against the runaway leaders. We never looked like we were going to win this game and by the end we were hanging on for dear life for just a point.
Champions League 4th Rnd Qual 2nd Leg: Tord (3) 1-2 (2) Austria Wien
We netted in the 5th min through Jonas Andersson (YP49) to seemingly put this tie to bed but instead it finally seemed like we had woken the beast. Austria Wien ripped us to shreds for an hour or so scoring twice in the process. Thankfully we held on to our 1 goal advantage to edge into the CL groups for just the 3rd time in our history.
League: IFK Goteborg 1-1 Tord
A 50:50 game and a fair result against one of our nearest rivals for 2nd place. They took the lead in the 75th min but Jonas Andersson (YP49) equalised just 3 mins later.
First comment in this thread, I remember reading most of it last year and being inspired to do my own type of thing but I got sacked after 5 months
Really impressive thread, by far one of the best I've read![]()
Average season really by the standards which you have previously set. To many draws!!!
How do you think you should fair in your Champions League group?
I decided to quit the Sweden U21 job as it was getting on my nerves and I couldn't really take them any further. This is my finishing record:

I'm just going to wait it out for the Sweden job now

September 2039
League: Tord 0-0 Helsingborg
We got played out the park by a dominant Helsingborg side. You wouldn't have thought we were the home team. Despite this we still managed to scrape a point.
Champions League Group E: Celtic 1-1 Tord
A fantastic start to our Champions League campaign. Admittedly it was very much a smash and grab but a point's a point. Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored 4 mins before half time to give us a shock lead. Celtic equalised half way through the nd half but we held on for an amazing point.
League: Tord 1-0 IK Sirius
It took us a while to break down their defence but eventually Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) did 10 mins from time.
League: Mjallby 1-2 Tord
We got off to a flying start with Albin Carlsson (YP55) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) scoring inside the 1st quarter of the match. A 2-0 lead can be dangerous and we almost suffered from it. Mjallby scored early in the 2nd half as we sat back on our lead but in the end we held on. A great way to mark Jorgen Melki (YP37)'s 419 league appearance for the club taking him past Peter Jansson (YP33)'s record and making him the club's most capped player.
Champions League Group E: Tord 0-4 Lyon
We played reasonably well, restricting them to long shots for the most part. However just like any good team they scored a few of those long shots as well as from a couple of our defensive mistakes.

Shame you've been off the pace in the league.
Better month in the league!!!
Nice result against Celtic.
October 2039
League: Tord 2-0 Orebro
A great display in which we could have had 4 or 5 but had to make do with just 2. From an own goal and a 90th min strike from Jonas Andersson (YP49).
League: Tord 2-1 Atvidaberg
We went down in the 3rd min but struck back instantly with another Jonas Andersson (YP49) goal. Albin Carlsson (YP55) then headed home the winner in the 55th min to put us securely into 3rd place.
Champions League Group E: Tord 1-6 Liverpool
An awful display the only redeeming feature being our goal which came from Martin Hansson (YP43) from the penalty spot.
League: Atvidaberg 4-2 Tord
Really should have won against this lowly team butwe collapsed by conceding 4 in half an hour. Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Alexander Pettersson (YP61) got goals back for us but it was too late.
November 2039
Champions League Group E: Liverpool 3-1 Tord
A much improved display although it wasn't looking that way as went went 3 down inside the opening 20 mins. We recovered well and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) even grabbed a consolation late on.
League: Tord 1-1 Syrianska Kerburan
We dominated but as with a lot of matches this season we failed to break the opposition down. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) eventually did in the 79th min but Syrianska hit back in th 6th min of injury time to ruin our end of season. We still got 3rd place which gets us into the Euro Cup next season.
Champions League Group E: Tord 3-4 Celtic
We were so unlucky not to have won this match let alone lost it. The win would have guaranteed us 3rd place in the group and a place in the Euro Cup knockout rounds. But it was not to be, we came from behind 3 times before eventually losing in the 90th min. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) got a brace and Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored the other.
So close against Celtic.
Cracking game against Celtic. Unlucky with the result but good effort.
End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2039
League Table, League Graph
Squad
We started off alright but our steam quickly ran out. We may have only lost 1 of our opening 14 games but too many draws cost us. By May/June/July we had hit a really poor run of form which eventually cost us the title and almost our European place. Only a good run of form towards the end of the season saved us from complete embarrassement and we eventually got 3rd place and a spot in the Euro Cup.
Swedish Super Cup
Lost out on penalties to Helsingborg.
Swedish Cup
Scraped past Atvidaberg on penalties after a 3-3 draw before falling to Mjallby in the next round.
Europe
Walked past Sutjeska with a 4-2 aggregate win in the 2nd qual round. In the next round we got Haka, a 0-0 draw in the 1st leg set up a tense 2nd leg. We looked down and out after we were 3-0 down but an incredible comeback saw us win 4-3 with 2 goals in injury time. Then a big shock saw us match Austria Wien at their place and come away with a 2-0 win. We lost the next leg 2-1 but we won on aggregate. We got Lyon, Liverpool and Celtic. We have now had Liverpool 3 times in the 4 European Groups we have been drawn in (Once in Euro Groups and twice in Champs League).
U19's
League
Finished 5th as AIK walked it again.
No cup run to speak of.
Youth Players (At the Club)
Jorgen Melki (YP37) - Still going strong, maybe not at as high level as he once was but still a useful player.
Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Another solid season for him, soon his time will be up though.
Niclas Carlsson (YP39) - Is getting much worse maybe his next season is his last. Only useful for his versatility at the moment.
Martin Hansson (YP43) - Played ok, still hasn't nailed down his 1st team place and probably never will.
Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Had a couple of injuries but was still one of our best players this season.
Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Didn't play as well as he has done but was still one of our best player of the season.
Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Probably our player of the season, he took responsibility of main goalscorer. Was priceless for us throughout the season.
Erik Mansson (YP50) - Got a few assists and was decent at the back.
Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Average season, lets hope he can go back to last season's form .
Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Was reasonable in midfield, probably our best midfielder this season.
Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Competent season, was much better in the league than in the cups.
Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Back to struggling after half a season of good form.
Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Was our 2nd top scorer with 9 goals, not good at all.
Oskar Johansson (YP60) - Starting to come into the 1st time but his ridiculous wage demands is really damaging his future at the club.
Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Was again terrible and I refuse to pay him 1.8k a week so he will most likely play out his contract.
Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Looked our most competent defender when he got given a chance. Looks up for fighting for his place despite fierce competition.
Olle Stenman (YP63) - Has got just 1 year left to impress me otherwise I will not be renewing his contract.
Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Showed signs of his potential, there is still much more of him to come.
Adam Karlsson (YP65) - Continued to fight his way into the team and is now getting quite a few appearances
Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Had his moments but was generally pretty poor
Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - Only a few appearances this season but should be a lot more next season.
Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - A poor debut season but I expect a lot more from him in the future.
Retiring Players
Peter Jansson (YP33)
League History
The club's most prolific goalscorer and one of our most capped players. It has finally come to an end :'(. 146 league goals in 418 league games and 171 total goals in 489 games. A true legend.
Hakan Larsson (YP35)
League History
Another legend who decided to call time on his career. Was renowned for his numerous assissts, 103 in 396 league appearances. 124 in 468 in all competitions.
Erik Carlsson (YP41)
League History
Less of a legend than the other two but still a sad day. He was at the end of his contract but he decided he didn't want a new club and decided to retire instead. 245 league appearances with 40 goals (50 goals in his 291 appearances in all competitions).
Finances - £1.21M profit this season, need all the money we can get so we can expand our stadium.

Some teams got into Europe via winning or getting to the final of a cup, here is a key:
CL - Champions League
EC - Euro Cup
FA - FA Cup
LC - League Cup
FC - French Cup
GC - German Cup
IC - Italian Cup
SC - Spanish Cup
If there is nothing next to a team's name then they got into Europe via their league position
I think Lyon have pretty much dominated the French league.
How many titles is that for them in total and in the seasons they didnt win it how far off were they?
Been Bayern or Leverkusen in Germany as well.

Champions League Group E: Lyon 5-0 Tord
Our final game in the group and probably the toughest one. As we were effectively our bar a miracle win I used this match as a testimonial for Peter Jansson (YP33) and Hakan Larsson (YP35). Neither did anything special but at least their last match for us was against a top club. I also started a few new youths in this match as we had a very good intake for once as you shall see in the pre season update. We were outplayed completely as expected although we did have our moments in the 2nd half. The only other thing worth mentioning is Lyon's new home ground which they named "OL Land"
Managed to gain a point and should have had a few more, maybe we are improving. At least we didn't do the worst in the competition, that award goes to Dinamo who lost all 6 of their group games conceding 38 and scoring just once (Results: 7-0, 7-1, 2-0, 11-0, 4-0, 7-0)
Well, thats something positive.
Can't wait to see the youth prospects that are coming through for this season. Lets hope one is a striker, as I think you have lacked that lethal finisher this season. A shame about the league form, but maybe a little bit less expectation will allow this new group of youngsters to have more of an impact in the first team.
Good luck in getting back up to the top and good luck in your save holding on for this long! My game died at 2044-45 season![]()

4 seemingly good players coming through this year:
Oskar Svedberg (YP69) (DC, DM, MC) - Report
Philip Nilsson (YP70) (MC) - Report
Axel Nordgren (YP71) (ST) - Report
Eddie Rubin (YP72) (ST) - Report
The board have accepted my request to improve our training facilities. Also they decided to expand the stadium without me even asking, I like it.
Friendlies
Atlante 2-0 Tord
El Nacional 1-0 Tord
Colo Colo 4-0 Tord
Independiente 5-0 Tord
Santos 3-0 Tord
Fluminense 4-0 Tord
Some excellent friendly results there...
Oskar Svedborg looks an absolute gem, and Eddie Rubin isnt half bad either. Nice stadium boost there too, whats your capacity at?? Best thread on the forum, long may it live on!
Wow, when I began to read this career last night I didn't thought it still continues. This is the best FM career I've ever seen! Adventurous choice, great patience and excellent continuation. Keep up the good work dude, can't wait for a Champions League win. After your youth facilities become State of Art, noone will stop you in about 6-7 years. It would be amazing to have a stadium named "Parker Stadium" and win CL with club's own players. Good luck on that!
I think Nordgren looks the best of the lot, especially once his physicals develop.
Yer a great prospect. Although Oskar Svedberg (YP69) and Eddie Rubin (YP72) are also up there for best youth player this year.
Unlucky about losing your save so far into the game. You are definitely right about lacking a lethal finisher, I really do need someone who I can rely on getting me goals. I've had Johan Bystrom (YP2), Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) and Peter Jansson (YP33) in the past but no one has replaced them.
I sense sarcasm
My capacity is around 20600, well it will be in May 2040.
Thanks, that's the plan although it may take a bit longer than you've estimated![]()
March 2040
League: Helsingborg 0-2 Tord
We are off to winning ways and also a great way to celebrate my 1000th game in charge of Tord. Jonas Andersson (YP49) took charge of the match and scored twice in the 2nd half. Maybe he is finally going to show his true colours after Peter Jansson (YP33) retired.
League: Tord 1-0 Elfsborg
Eddie Rubin (YP72) scored his 1st goal for the club in his 2nd appearance. My plan is to give him as much game time as possible this season in the hope he will improve quickly.
League: Orebro 2-3 Tord
A fantastic 1st half followed by the inevitable collapse and nervy 2nd half. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) scored with 23 seconds of kickoff and things got better when Albin Carlsson (YP55) and Magnus Kjellman (YP45) added 2 more to make it 3-0 at the break. In the 2nd half we conceded almost straight away as well as a 2nd with 15 mins left. Thankfully we didn't blow the lead and held on to continue our 100% record.

1000 games of awesomeness!
April 2040
League: Tord 1-0 Umea FC
A 4th consecutive win but boy did we leave it late, Jonas Andersson (YP49) tapped home in the 92nd min as our dominance finally paid off.
League: Malmo 3-0 Tord
There goes our 100% record and in some style too. We collapsed to 2-0 after just 17 mins and never recovered. Malmo hammered us for 90 mins and eventually added a 3rd but we were lucky it wasn't a real hiding.
League: Tord 2-2 Gefle
Still recovering from our thrashing at Malmo. We really struggled even though we were at home to a weak team. We took the lead from an own goal but Gefle hit back instantly. In the 2nd half we looked much better and again we took the lead through another own goal from the same guyjust wasn't his game. Just as we were closing the game out Gefle hit back with a late equaliser. We should have won but we were clearly not at our best.
League: Mjallby 1-1 Tord
A 3rd successive game without a win. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) scored his 1st for the club from the penalty spot in the 39th min but this time Mr own goal was against us as we conceded from one.
League: Tord 2-1 Assyriska
Finally back to winning ways, Albin Carlsson (YP55) scored after just 7 mins to give us the lead which was doubled in 1st half injury time by Alexander Pettersson (YP61). Jorgen Melki (YP37) could have made it 3 and sealed the game early in the 2nd half but he skyed it from the spot. We were almost made to regret it when Assyriska got 1 back but it was too late for them to get a 2nd.
Solid start to the season mate.
better stuff.
Nice to see you back on top, even if it is only 8 games in.
Seems like your team is evening out the scoring. Hoping Rubin becomes that striker you crave!
Good start to the season too.
May 2040
League: Atvidaberg 2-4 Tord
Albin Carlsson (YP55) gave us the lead almost instantly from the kick off but that was cancelled out just 15 mins later. The 1st half looked like it was fizzling out as both teams were happy with a draw at half time. But in the dying seconds Hakan Neilsen (YP47) took the lead, this goal proved crucial as it gave us a much needed morale boost going into the 2nd half. Roger Magnusson (YP52) and Hakan Neilsen (YP47) scored again in the 2nd half to give us an unassailable lead although they did get a consolation.
League: Kalmar FF 1-1 Tord
We started slowly and it cost us dearly. Firstly we conceded a penalty which was thankfully saved before Kalmar did take the lead a few mins late. We improved int he 2nd half and eventually Jonas Andersson (YP49) got us our reward 3 mins from time.
League: Tord 0-0 IK Sirius
A 2nd consecutive draw sees us drop to 2nd place. We should have won this one, it's matches like these which we need to win to once again lift the title.
Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord 0-2 GAIS
A put out a 2nd string side who played exceptionally well and definately did not deserve to lose let alone by 2 goals. They scored against the run of play and from then on its just one of the games where no matter what you do you will not be able to score. Then to add insult to injury they added a 2nd on the counter attack in the 90th min.
League: Tord 1-1 IFK Goteborg
Back to the league and back to more draws. We have been given a nice little home run but have yet to win from it which is very disappointing. Another match we arguably should have won despite going behind early on. Jonas Andersson (YP49) equalised soon after but we were unable to push on and get a winner.
League: Tord 3-2 Syrianska Kerburan
Our poor form looked like it was going to continue against bottom team Syrainska Kerburan when they took the lead with their 1st shot midway through the 1st half. We had dominated them and continued to dominate them without any luck. Until right before half time when our pressure told as their defender put into his own net. We continued to push in the 2nd half with Erik Johannesson (YP56) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) adding to our tally before they got a consolation to take some of the gloss off the scoreline.
League: AIK 1-0 Tord
More dropped points which really shouldn't have been dropped. We destroyed them but just couldn't score as per usual. Then in final 20 or so mins as usual they scored from one of their few chances. Really frustrating.
In brighter news our stadium expansion has been completed meaning we now have a capacity of 20950 all seated
How are your attendances going? Do you need further upgrades to the stadium or is it no big deal?
If you could just turn them draws into wins you would be laughing. Still, a solid start to the season.
You do well in the league yet again your strikers can't score more than 1.5 per game.
New stadium + more fans = better home results!! (I hope)
It is very tight to about halfway down the table, so here hoping you can get a good run going to make some breathing space up at the top.
July 2040
League: Tord 1-0 GAIS
Revenge for the cup defeat to them back in May. Jonas Andersson (YP49) struck just before half time to give us the slender win over GAIS. Just about deserved.
League: Tord 1-0 Helsingborg
A 2nd consecutive 1-0 and boy was this one lucky. We looked all out of sorts the whole match but struck in injury time through Alexander Pettersson (YP61) with our 1st meaningful attack of the match.
League: Umea FC 3-1 Tord
We started poorly and almost immediately went behind. Jonas Andersson (YP49) brought us level in the 17th min with a great strike from outside the area. In the end Umea were too good for us as they scored twice in the final 15 mins to kill the game off.
August 2040
Euro Cup 3rd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Tord 0-1 Bohemians 1905
A shock home loss to Bohemians. They took the lead in the 6th min and you know the story. They defended for their lives and we just couldn't find the net.
League: Elfsborg 0-0 Tord
The Europa night really took it out of us as we laboured to a bore draw against Elfsborg.
Euro Cup 3rd Qual Rnd 2nd Leg: Bohemians FC (3) 2-1 (1) Tord
Boheminas show it wasn't just a flash in the pan as we pay for our incompetence in front of goal in the 1st leg. They took the lead in the 35th min so I decided to just go all out as we were not playing well and we needed 2 goals. This backfired as they hit us on the counter 10 mins into the 2nd half. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) got a consolation but it was too little too late as we go crashing out of Europe at the 1st hurdle. It's not all bad news inEurope for Sweden though. Umea FC almost progressed to the CL groups but lost out on away goals to Red Star. This means they go into the Euro Cup Groups instead. AIK will join them in the groups as they went though by beating AEK Athens in the 4th Qualifying Round. Umea got Chelsea, Panathinaikos and sc Heerenveen in their group and AIK got Liverpool, Wolfsburg and St Etienne. Go on guys do Sweden proud.
League: Tord 0-0 Orebro
More dropped points through poor finishing. So frustrating as we should be miles ahead in this league if we had a competent striker.
League: Tord 1-1 Malmo FF
Another good display and we actually managed to score this time. Jonas Andersson (YP49) netting 4 mins into the 2nd half. not 5 mins later we score again this time into our own net to gift Malmo a point. sigh.
League: Gefle 0-1 Tord
Our 1st win in 7 games which says it all really. Alexander Pettersson (YP61) got it with 10 mins remaining. We've been really poor recently, luckily so has everyone else. the down side to that is its made the league really tight going into the final stretch. Maybe the lack of European games will help us.
Very tight at the top.
It's up for grabs now.
Tight but if you can find form hopefully you can make the top spot your own.
