Football Manager 2011 Demo FAQ
General Questions:
First things first, where can I download the FM 2011 Demo?
We have three ways of downloading the demo this year, all of which can be found via this link below:
http://www.footballmanager.com/demo
There is a direct download, you can download via Steam or you can download via a Torrent. Details on how to use torrents can be found below.
How to use a Torrent:
Find a torrent program that will suit your needs, the most common clients are Utorrent, Deluge, Vuze and BitTorrent. There are plenty of other clients available as well.
Follow the instructions on downloading and installing your chosen client. Download the torrent via the link provided.
Usually, the web browser's file download manager will ask what to do with this file. You want to open the file with your torrent program.
If it doesn't open that way, just save the .torrent file to an easy to locate place. Then open your torrent client and use the "Open Torrent" feature (Most torrent clients support click & drag).
The download will start automatically. You may now go and do something to pass the time, because torrents do not require your attention and will download in the background.
What’s the difference between the Strawberry and Vanilla Demos?
The Strawberry demo contains all the sounds, player pictures and logos within the game. Because of this additional content the file is larger and will take longer to download. The Vanilla demo is a stripped down version of the game, which runs exactly the same but is just a smaller download file.
I’ve gone to start up my game, but ‘Start New Game’ is greyed out – why is this?
Included in the demo are the Quick Starts only, so to start the game click the Quick Start and choose the league which you wish to play. Bear in mind the available leagues will depend on what region demo you have downloaded.
