This is my current system which I have had for at least 4 years (apart from Windows 7)
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.101026-1503)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, ~2.2GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphic Card: ATI RADEON 9600 Series (Display Memory: 383 MB, Dedicated Memory: 255 MB, Shared Memory: 127 MB)
Hard Drive: Maxtor 6Y080P0 ATA Device 80GB
It runs FM ok but the 3d is a bit stuttery, more than a bit when there is any kind of hard disk activity. I am looking to upgrade or buy a new system and have around £400 - £500 to spend. Any suggestions or help would be most welcome.
If you can answer the questions I posted on the last page, I'll try to help.
Its the 4th or 5th post from bottom.
Sorry Ishu I had only read the first 4 pages.
Uses - FM and internet
MAX budget - £500
Overclock? Yes although I don't know a lot about overclocking.
OS Windows 7 (which I already have)
When will you buy the system? Hopefully before April
Anything you don't want to include in this? Like monitor, speaker, UPS, etc. Don't need a monitor or speakers as I already have them, sorry but I don't know what UPS is.
Thanks for any reply.
Intel i5 2500K £183
Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H B3 £120 (This won't let you overclock. If you want to overclock, wait till Z68 is released. April or May)
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB £39
GSkill RipjawsX 2x2GB 1600MHz CL9 £40
CM Elite 430 £34
Seasonic S12II 430W £53
Total £465
70 leagues.
Thanks Ishu.
Thanks again Ishu
I notice that you have not included a graphics card in that set up. Is that because you think my current one (which is at least 4 years old) is good enough to run the 3D? It is already a bit jerky now although it tends to be worse when there is hard drive activity in the background. Or is there an integrated graphics card in the stuff you have recommended? Didn’t spot one tbh.
The onboard graphic card is more than enough for FM and anything else except gaming.
Could anybody please tell me roughly how many leagues I could run on this computer? And what setting I could play 3D on as well?
Quad-core Intel® Core™ i5-750 (2.66 GHz)
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon™ HD 5750 Graphics
Thanks in advance!
Ok so i posted in here a while ago and got a lot of good help from Ishu but due to christmas spending i'm yet to actually get a new computer. Its getting really annoying now as my laptop has rather had it tbh.
I'm after a desktop computer like before but i'd rather just have one thats already made rather than just oredring parts and my price range is about $AU800 - $AU900. I'd like a computer thats capable of running something like 20 leagues comfortably but i will settle for less if i can get a good deal.
Thanks in advance.
if i have a master degree in Electronic and computer science engineering would i be able to work at a place like si?
Windows XP
AMD ATHLON(TM) 64 PROCESSOR 3000+,~ 1,8 Ghz
RADEON 9550 AGP
512MB
How many leagues would my computer have? And should I buy something new processor or graphic card?
thx for the help
Ishu
What parts would you use to build the ultimate FM2011 computer?
All leagues!
All players!
A motherboard for dual cpu? 4 cpu?
How many leagues are there in FM??
I suppose less than 150.
IMO 2600K OCed can easily handle that.
Upcoming Bulldozer and Ivybridge too.
So 1 CPU is enough.![]()
A stock 2600K will run that.
An OCed 2500K might manage too.
I have a Acer 5742 - i3-370m Processor, 4 GD DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics - How many leagues can I run?
Hi, how many league should this have? And the 3d ? http://img832.imageshack.us/i/computerhp.png/
P67 is the motherboard. You see the words "H67" in that Gigabyte mobo? Thats because its a H67. You want P67 if you want to overclock.
Your CPU should handle 60 - 70 leagues on stock.
Do you play any other games?

Sometimes I play WC3 and diablo2 but its not so often... I play more fm07 because my computer cant handle fm11 :P What is overclock?
Then get the i5 2400 instead of that i5 2500k.
And don't buy a Graphic card.
And you can go for a cheaper power supply. Get the 400W model of that Antec or 520W.
Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10GHz
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium [64 bit]
Do I need to add anything else?
60 .
heh, not too shabby :P
Cheers mate![]()
Ishu, how many leagues would you recommend on a i5 760 OC'd at 3.80Ghz, with 4GB of 1600MHz RAM. I have a GTX 570 but I prefer 2d, so that doesn't matter much :P
55 .
I want to run all the leagues from Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Spain and Turkey. I have a mac i5 2.4 GHZ and 4GB RAM. In the game menu I think it gives me 1 and a half or 2 star for speed, will it be too slow to run all them leagues? I thought more leagues I run more players will be in the game.
Okej now I have take all the parts you said... How many leagues now? http://img585.imageshack.us/i/computer2.png/
To the H67??
Okej now I have the H67 http://img852.imageshack.us/i/computer3.png/ ... How many league should this have now?
Yeah.
It will run 55-65 leagues.
Okej thx for all help mate![]()
No problem Buddy![]()
Intel Core i7 860 2,8 GHZ
4 GB DDR3 memory
GeForce GT220 1024MB
I watch the matches in 2D. Would like to run a decent speed (few minutes for a week to pass) and would like to play this game till far in the future.
I am speaking only about the speed of the game, i.e. the speed in the loading after press "continue", considering that my wish is to play with 10 leagues active and a ddt of all players in the world.
- the HD affect the speed in the loading after the "continue"? the game on SSD would be faster?
- using DDR3 is it possible to detect a difference of performance using 4GB and 8GB?
- there is a difference in performance using Windows7 or Snow Leopard?
Now about the graphics, what I need to play with full details and without any problems?
1) No. Improvement in menus, profile opening etc? Not much.
2) FM can only use 2GB in 32bit OS and 4GB in 64bit OS. So no.
3) No idea.
4) Most discrete graphic cards will do. Newer onboards will be alright as well.
Is what Ishu says about FM only being able to use 4GB of RAM correct? Also can anyone point me to an SI guy confirming this?
I'm looking at a new Mac and was wondering if I'd see any difference between getting 4GB or 8GB of RAM, I'm decided on everything apart from the RAM so far.
Was wondering how many leagues I can run with this:
3GB Ram(2.74 GB Usable)
ADM V140 Processor 2.30 GHZ
I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit version
So how many leagues?
@tf
6 - 7
Yeah thanks Ishu, I wasn't doubting what you said I just wanted to double check. Your logic makes perfect sense, I just wasn't sure if FM was 32 or 64 bit beforehand
AMD Athlon II X3 450 (3,2 Ghz)
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 (32 bit)
Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT
What would be your FM recommendation for the following - how many leagues, player count ect...
HP G62-b28SA 15.6" Laptop - White
or
- Dual-core AMD Athlon™ II X2 P340 (2.2 GHz)
- Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- Memory: 4GB
- 500GB
HP G56-130SA 15.6" Laptop - Black
Cheers.
- Dual-core Intel® Pentium® T4500 (2.3 GHz)
- Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- Memory: 4GB
- 500GB
Hi, How many leagues/players could I load on this :
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.40GHz)
Memory - 3.25GB
320GB HDD
Nvidia 9500 GT 1028mb
Windows XP 32- bit
Thanks.
I suggest an interesting experiment for all the people who want to understand which are the real correlation between processor-memory and performance of FM 2011 in terms of speed. Let's do like this: we all begin a new career with 1 nation, 7 leagues and DDD all nations (total of 307000 players), we say the specs of our computers and we report how did it take to run 3 months of game, what do you think?
Any ideas on number of leagues and amount of players i can run without FM being too slow?
Thanks.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz
Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
1308 MB Total available graphics memory
Primary hard disk 188GB Free (223GB Total)
Windows 7 64 Bit
Thats easy. RAM will only bottleneck performance if its low. And a CPU will directly impact performance.
This can help in buying a PC for FM. IMO just get the best possible CPU with adequate RAM. Other components do not have a major impact on performance.
If you wanna do a test, I would suggest something that finds out the impact of
1) Selecting a league as View Only and Playable
2) Loading additional players
3) Loading additional leagues
I thought of running these tests once (when a few other guys were doing something like this) but could get the time.
This will address the 3 points and also your CPU/RAM thing.Code:Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 Test 4 Test 5 Test 6 No of Players 15000 15000 30000 30000 60000 60000 No of leagues 2 4 2 4 15 15 VO 0 0 0 0 0 14 P 2 4 2 4 15 1 Avg RAM Used Avg CPU Used Save Size Time
VO - View Only
P - Playable
Time - Time for Holidaying 5 seasons.
If only someone with a decent PC (Something neither too weak or too powerful) could run these![]()

Dont now my Graphics Card?
How many leagues can i run and what improvements do i need and how much will it cost?
If I purchase how many league would I be able to run?
Whats better, i5, i7 or i9? I thought i9 but It seems you give more leauges to the i5s than the i7s.
I wish.

Anyone help with the above post please would like to put an order in but need to know if 3D will work on the graphics posted above thanks
Before I start my game with the new patch is game speed 2 star slow? My computer performance is 5 star
Apple Macbook Pro
CPU Intel core I5 2.4GHZ
Memory 4GB DDR
Graphics card Intel HD and Nivdia GeoForce GT 330M
I would like to run Belgium, England, France, Holland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Russia all playable and all the leagues from each country from top to the bottom league. I'm just a bit worried 2 stars for game speed might be slow. I want to run them leagues so I can see how clubs from them countries are getting on in each league and able to have more players to buy in the database.
Where's Ishu when you need him
Hello again ishu :P How many leagues and the how the 3D ?
Intel Core i3 540 3,06 GHz 0,5 MB 4 MB
DIMM DDR3 1333 MHz 4 GB
NVIDIA GeForce G 315
how would people say the spec of the sony vaio vpcec2soe stack up against competitors and just in general?
spec:
# Operating System: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
# Chipset: Intel® HM55 Express Chipset
# Resolution: 1600 x 900
# Max Resolution External Display: 1920x1200
# Graphics: Graphic card name: ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5470 graphics, video RAM memory: 512M, total graphics memory: (approx) 3250MB
# Aspect Ratio: 16:9
# Processor Name: Intel® Core™ i5-430M Processor
# Power and Performance: with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology
# Processor Speed: 2.26
# L2/L3 Cache (MB): 3
# Number of Cores: 2
# Memory: DDR3 SDRAM
# Hard Drive: Serial ATA 320(GB), optical drive type: Blu-ray Disc™ ROM Drive with DVD SuperMulti
any advice would be very grateful, as I can't really make sense of the figures and numbers. Ta
My 2D match engine feels unresponsive and slow.
I've got a Packard Bell EasyNote TM86, Intel Core i3-330M Processor, 4GB Memory. It says my graphics card is 'Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD, Intel HD Graphics. Are these graphics spec lower than the minimum requirement needed?
Just wondering, I'm looking to start a long term game now the new patch is out (30+ seasons probably), is it wise to have 53 games loaded on my set up? Will it affect it that much?
Otherwise, whats a good number of leagues to have for a longer term game and should I set some to view only [ones that I don't plan on playing in but would like to have up]
Cheers
