Missed Chances ARGGGG

Hi,

I am Man City manager in season 2 and my team hardly ever score but have loads of chances on the training schedual shooting is set as intensive so what else can I do??

Shooting from long-range too much?

Maybe just try mixing things around a bit during the match
- Exploit the middle/Play narrower
- Exploit the flanks/Play wider

Stuff like that. If I can;t break a team down by the 6oth minute then it's time to change a few things!

Happens to me too. It's not unusual, as long as it's not every single game.

Then that suggests your tactics/players are at fault.

Are your strikers rushing the chances?

Are you creating CCCs or are they only half chances that look better than they are on the 3d?

Are the chances on target and being saved or off target?

Do your strikers have good morale?

Perfectly usual to miss 12 in a match if your strikers are having an off day. Over the course of a season a top striker will only score about 25% of his clear chances IRL, some days he will score 3 of 3, some days 0 of 6. That's the way it goes.

Try slowing the temp also. I usually score around 35- 50% of my shots on target in the prem. The fact your missing so many would suggest the chances your making are snap shots etc. I may not create 30 chances per game but those I do are good ones. In fact...since I just looked I think I can improve that by getting my CM to shoot less.

You have the same problem than my national team (Chile) in the 2010 WC.
