Formation With 2 Strikers

I'm just wondering if anyone has had success with 2 strikers when they're both given attacking roles? It seems that having one player being a support of some kind, and one being attack is the general accepted rule, but I'm contemplating giving both strikers an attacking role (advanced forward/attack, and complete forward/attack, by the way). Does anyone know if this could work, or is this a bad idea?

I am doing that.. - Kadlec = poacher, Lukaku = target man/attack..

Its not an advised set up but depending on the rest of the teams set up it can work. As uusinjsh says.

I'm using an advanced forward with a poacher playing next to him and I'm having no trouble then again, my overall approach is pretty attacking.

Using two complete strikers on attack duty and it has been working for years (maybe due to the fact that in the future all AI teams aren't that good anymore).

2016-2017 Season

Hepworth (Regen) - Complete forward attack

Villalva - Poacher attack

Average of 3 goals a game so far, although I have only played 8 games and they do have a stellar midfield behind them

i'm playing both strikers on attack, with an AMC behind them on attack as well...works amazingly.

not both attacking full on but have a big man who scores alot but also sets up alot

For the last 3 years my forward line has been Kadlec- Target man, Milevskiy-Advanced forward. In that period I've won 2 leagues and 1 CL with Betis.

So yes I'd say it can be done.

E Cavani and R Soldado are lethal in my save as Advanced Forwards

I often play a wide diamond formation with 2 attacking strikers, and a 4-3-1-2 formation with two very attacking strikers and a 3-4-1-2 with well...2 attacking strikers, so yeah should be very possible
