News reports from White Hart Lane are suggesting that a bidding war could be set to break out for Russian striker, Roman Pavlyuchenko. It is thought that at least one concrete bid has already been tabled and that more are expected to follow.

***BRAKING NEWS***
Blackburn have concluded a deal with Sunderland for Martyn Wagorn for £1.7m on a 5 year contract, it is thought he will be on 7k a week.
Striker Martyn Waghorn made huge strides forward while on loan at Leicester for the entire 2009-10 season.
The nippy forward became a firm fans' favourite at the Walkers' Stadium, finishing second in the club's goalscoring charts with 12 goals.
The Foxes were reportedly keen to keep Waghorn permanently, but Blackburn Rovers beat them to his signiture.
Waghorn regularly featured off the bench in the early stages of his loan spell, but cemented a first-team place following an injury to eventual top scorer Matty Fryatt.
The youngster's loan spell ended in unfortunate circumstances as Leicester were eliminated in the Championship play-offs at the hands of Cardiff City in a penalty shoot-out.
Waghorn, who made 48 appearances in all, collected Leicester's Young Player of the Year award.
The striker made his Sunderland debut against Manchester United on Boxing Day 2007 and has made five first-team appearances so far.
The South Shields-born hitman also spent time on loan at Charlton Athletic in the 2008-09 season, scoring one goal in seven appearances.
A former Manchester United scholar, Waghorn impressed in Sunderland's youth team and reserves before he was offered a pro deal in the summer of 2008.
Blackburn fans are looking forward to seeing him in action at Ewood Park.
I hope he can and i assume he can in the editor thing cos thats how i assume he does it.
Posting this here as Ollie's messages are at capacity.
Tottenham have agreed to sell Assou Ekotto to Sunderland in a deal worth £7million.
At this point the Tottenham chairman would like to state that with the exception of the ongoing negotiations for Pavlyuchenko, White Hart Lane is closing for business.

'not well informed (invalid token) at line 1 of profile. '
It means one of your 'Profiles' has been corrupted. Shut down FM, delete the cache files and this should solve this issue (but you'll also lose stored profiles that are selectable from the drop down menu when you start a new game).
Details on how to delete your cache files can be found below.
"not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1 of last_saved_game.xml"
The game says it cannot be loaded
This can sometimes be resolved it by defragmenting the hard drive.
Open and run Disk Defragmenter by doing the following:
Windows XP
1: Click “Start”
2: Click “My Computer”
3: Right Click the local Disk that contains the FM2010 installation.
4: Go to “Tools”
5: Click “Defragment Now”
6: Click “Anylise”
7: Click “Report” – Check to see if the saved game that is not loading is listed as having missing fragments.
If it does have missing fragments then move the save to an external source (USB Memory Key, External Hard Drive) and try loading the game fro there. If the game works from the external source then running a full Defrag on the Drive should allow you to load it again. If not then your game is probably corrupted.
Windows Vista and Windows 7
1: Click “Start”
2: Click “Computer”
3: Right Click the local Disk that contains the FM2010 installation.
4: Select “Preferences”
5: Select “Tools”
6: Select “Check Disk”
7: Select “Start”
If the Save Game was showing any missing fragments then try to load the game again as Check Disk would have attempted to fix the problem. If that does not work follow the steps from Windows XP. Copy the file to an external source and attempt to run it from there. If successful defrag the Hard Disk and then try again. .

Fulham Complete Initail Transfers
Fulham Chairman Paul Wilmot has spoken today about the players that have been brought into the club in the last couple of weeks and what the future holds for the London club.
"We would like to welcome to the club 9 new players that we think can propel us forward to challange for European places for the forseeable future. We also have to say good bye to 3 of our players who decided that there futures lay away from the cottage.
Firstly there are some new names that the fans have not been told about yet and the following exciting deals have been tied up in the last couple of days:
We have sign 5 players on free transfers after there contracts ended with there previous clubs
Ricardo Oliveira joins us from Al-Jazira Club. The Brazilian International Striker has had previous spells at AC Milan, Real Betis and Valencia
Rafael Sobis joins the club from Al-Jazira like Ricardo he is a brazilian international Midfielder who at 24 has the best years ahead.
Two well known names who need no introduction having had spells and Liverpool and Arsenal respectivly are Fenando Morientes and Tierry Henry. These two are a major coup for this club and there experience will no doubt prove greatly benificial to us and also to the youth players that we have at the club.
We have also made 2 signings that are clearly looking towards the future the first is Rabiu Ibrahim who joins us from Sporting lisbon. He has in the past been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United so we are very proud to unvail him at our club as one to watch.
The second is a very exciting player who we have pipped the biggest teams in the world in signing. The young striker at 16 has shown tremendous potential and we are confidant that we can realise that here. He is the one and only Romelu Lukaku who joins us from Anderlect for an undisclosed fee.
Add all these to the exciting players that we announced earlier in the week Alex Marrow England Under 21 international Gary Cahill and Kevin Davies and i think that the squad that Javier has to work with is one of the best that we have seen at Fulham for a very long time.
I have been asked by many this week if there will be any more comings and goings from the club before the window shuts in September but we cannot say as yet. We will let Javier get into training when then report back and see where we are and what he thinks we need.
I think that we can all agree that this is a very exciting time to be a Fulham fan and we are all looking forward to the start of the season and hopefully success on and off the field for everyone involved.

All transfers done between chairman that were free and were then relased were placed back to clubs, if they were once again sold then thats life, clearly the manager didnt like the chairmans picks, if there was money involved it is like any other transfer and the manager is a dip **** :L
Breaking News: Newcastle Chairmen would like to announce that he is disappointed with the sides early exit in the league cup but would like to hail the league form. Being unbeaten after the first 3 games is a dream we didnt think we would achieve, and with manager chris hughton looking to the future with the signing of Scott Sinclair then we can hope for a brillliant few years.
owen coyle selling geovanni for £2.5m is he mad n bringing in darius vassell
Javier Aguirre = Idiot he better buck his ideas up. We sign a trully promising CB in Gary Cahill and he goes and sells him to Man Utd. It was for £14 Million.
If he dont perform this year for that decision alone he may well be on his way at the end of the year!!
why did i not keep him doh!!!! and it always happens in the game paulo. Gary Cahill almost moves all the time thats why i wanted big money for him.
FA making Major Changes
The Football Association have had a complete reshuffle of power in the last couple of weeks and the game in England as a whole is coming under Close scrutiny as they look to shake things up. A New board of 3 premier league chairman was elected by their peers to represent them and they have wasted no time in stamping there authority on the England team Manager. A spokesman for the FA today released a press statement announcing the departure of the current England Manager Fabio Capello and his backroom staff. “We sat down with Fabio and discussed the performance of the England team and the direction that they should move in and whilst Fabio is a highly respected manager and has a long history of domestic achievements it was decided that his style of management was no longer what was required. We would like to thank Fabio personally now for the hard work that he has put in over the last two years and we wish him all the best for the future.
It is believed that this move will cost the FA somewhere in the region of 12 Million pounds. New chairperson of the FA Ollie Laaaaaaaad had this to say “We are disappointed to have to pay out this sum of money. The main reason was the removal of a break clause by former chairman Sir Dave Richards. This has cost the FA a lot of money but in the long run we believe that the money spent now will be a great benefit to the future of the English game.
The main question on everyone lips now will be about Capello’s replacement. The FA are believed to have drawn up a list of six names that they would like to sit down and talk to about the now vacent position. They include 3 current Premiership managers Harry Redknapp of Tottenham, Martin O’Neil of Aston Villa ,and David Moyes of Everton.
Added to those three names are the likes of former Blackburn Manager Sam Allardyce who parted company with the Yorkshire club at the beginning of the Season, Real Madrid manager Jose Morinho and Ex England Striker Alan Shearer. All managers will be sounded out within the next couple of weeks and a final decision will be made before the commencement of the qualifing campaign for the 2010 world Cup
Spokesman LCFC1 added that this was not the only announcement that would be made by the new board in the next couple of weeks. Further announcements are set to shake up not only the English team but the league and game as a whole.
Speculation about the new boards agenda grew last night as they are believed to be looking into the Chairman transfer system and the England Back room staff as a whole.

Tottenhams Chairman Stewart Robertson is keen to impress upon the FA that he will not let Harry Redknapp go without putting up a fight.
"Harry has done a great job here at White Hart Lane and it's only natural that the FA would consider him for the England managers position. However it's high time England were looking to a younger management team anyway. Harry is a club manager, and one of the finest around. Managing England would be a nothing more than a novelty job. He would miss the day to day running of the team. Its in the best interest of all parties that Harry stays where he is."
Sunderland Press Conference:
Sunderland chairman called a press conference today reagarding manager Steve Bruce. Cartwright had this to say "As much as I love Steve as a guy and I do think he is a good manager, he has not shown it so far in the early days we've been working together. First of all I was disappointed when after some hard work signing players myself, which I know would improve the team, Steve goes over my head and sells them on straight away. Although I can just about live with this as he did make a profit overall. Unfortunately I am unhappy at the way the team has played so far. 3 league matches, 1 cup match. 3 losses, 1 draw. It's not as if we've had hard matches on paper. Stoke away, West Brom away are games where I feel we should be winning or at least pressing for a win. But the team showed no passion. Blackpool at home and Peterborough at home in the cup are inexcusable games though. We should be winning these games, and quite comfortably. But I have decided to give Steve some time to turn it around. After all I did say a few days ago, I would stick with him through thick and thin unless things got really bad. Well if things continue like they will have got really bad, and Steve will be looking for another job. It's time to show he deserves the job."
SSN reporters were at the conference and the summary is Cartwright is not happy for various reason. But will give Bruce time to change it, but won't wait too long before he changes Bruce himself.
What's the configuration of the game. I.e. selected nations, lowest active league, database size?
Just wondering because I can't find most of the players Steve Bruce signed on a small, Premier League only game. (I am using the updated database).
The set up is
playable

Spanish BBVA
German Bundesliga
Italia Serie A

even with all these view only it is still 5* running which is great![]()
And what size database, small? large? medium?
Large DB with all european internationals and south american internationals loaded
The south american takeover at Blackpool has today continued with Assitant manager Steve Thompson being replaced with Brazilian free agent Baltimar Brito,
Brito was never capped for his country but was the former assistant to the already legendary 'special one' Jose Mourinho
Furthermore Brito's friend Paulo Camello has joined the coaching staff replacing another english coach at the club, some fans have been said to be unhappy that English chairman and Football Association Chief - Executive has been employing South Americans, where as others have welcomed the changes as showing vast ambition and enabling them and their families see and expansive attractive brand of premier league football
it is also rumoured that the south american invasion wont stop there and more brazilian, argentine and chillian coaches will be arriving by the seaside shortly

When will we be moving on with this one Ollie. Just wondering if we had an idea of what speed this will be played at?
Sunderland Press Conference:
In a move that shocked the footballing world today disgraced former England manager Fabio Capello announced his intention to take the managerial seat at Sunderland. Just a few hours after Steve Bruce was given the dreaded vote of confidence by new chairman Rhys Cartwright, his time was up at Sunderland after an appalling start to the season which sees The Black Cats sitting pretty at the bottom of the Premier League. Although this u-turn within the space of a day is not too much of a surprise in this modern era of demands for quick success, seeing a European Cup winning manager turn up at the Stadium of Light is a shock that will surely see Sunderland fans dancing in the streets of Wearside tonight.
Capello's appointment, which echoes Sven Goran Eriksson's short reign at Manchester City following the 2006 World Cup, is a surprising situation for all involved, including Capello himself. However, it is believed that Capello is looking forward to the opportunity to prove himself to the English fans, players and media as a manager with immense pedigree.
Capello stated, "I am looking forward to the opportunity to take a formerly giant club like Sunderland back to the summit of English football, and the chance to work with Rhys Cartwright was an opportunity that I was unwilling to pass up. I am glad to be able to return to football management quickly."
What was believed to be the persuading factor for Capello was Cartwright's offer of full control of the club, a move that seems all too old fashioned in this day of interfering chairmen. And if this wasn't enough then wages believed to be some of the highest for a Premier League manager will have made the deal all the more sweeter for the experienced coach. Capello is bringing his long-time friend and assistant Franco Baldini along with him for the ride with the blessing of Cartwright.
It is the hope of the Sunderland board that this gamble can come to fruition with Capello determined to prove a point to the FA and add some English trophies to a swag bag already full to the brim with silverware.
As well as Capello's shock appointment, it has been a busy day at the Stadium of Light with Edin Dzeko passing his medical and all the paperwork going through for the striker to arrive in time to meet his new manager and squad mates before the weekend's fixtures. It is believed that the deal cost Cartwright £25m from Wolfsburg, where Dzeko was unhappy with the appointment of another failed England manager.

well as soon as we have an england manager and the FA have implimented anything we want we will race right up to january probally by the end of the night
Everton News
The new chairman has stated his disappointment with two loses in their first Premier league matches. Including one 2-3 loss to local rivals, Liverpool. The chairman remains upbeat, however, and still believes Everton can push for a spot in Europe, if they play to full potential.
**Wigan Press Conference**
We hope to stay up this year and Roberto is the man to keep us up.
The game would really be sped up if the Tottenham and Aston Villa managers got back to me![]()
You know what mate? Been pretty good at getting back to you fairly regularly. Turns out i have a life outside this daft wee game, so how about before mouthing off in your thread about my slowness of getting back to you you stop first, then engage your brain?
