If you absolutely wanted to create your own club, why not do so with a clean slate? Set up the club with few funds, say 100k, no transfer funds, no players, no backroom staff, low reputation, and then set about your business. Now it looks like you've basically made sure you'll fly up the leagues. I honestly don't see the fun in that. It's obvious some of these players, if not many of them, are way too good for the level you started out at (or even above that as Hernandez are still banging them in in League Two..).

Maybe I'm a strange breed, but the most fun I have with this game is to build up a team and find struggle at every turn. When you then succeed you know you have actually accomplished something.

If you find this fun long-term, however, by all means play like this. It's your game and all that. Just as I play my game how I like, you should play your game how you like. But I do think a save where you are pretty much clicking continue and receiving wins galore will not be very fun in the long term. Racing a Lada with a Ferrari may be fun the first few times, but after a while it becomes stale and predictable.

    Car analogies ftw

A great way to put it mate, I totally agree. I was manchester united manager and won everything till it became repetitive. I know in Holland struggling in Jupiler League with Haarlem. Oh the joys.

Very well presented thread but I have to agree that it seems too easy, I will keep reading though to see what it's like once you reach the EPL. Javier Hernandez is a beast in the top Mexican league he is way too good for the lower English leagues, he should be getting 50 plus goals a season. Can I ask what starting reputation you gave your club? I had a game just like this on FM08 and it was great fun, did you give yourself a sugar daddy?

If it's possible from now on any chance you could post the players stats for the season, wouldn't mind seeing the best 11's from the season you have played so far. I will keep reading and I think your save will become good once you reach the EPL. Good luck dude.

Yeah with the right tutoring and training he could become a back up for a top EPL side on FM, he was outscoring my players in my days in Mexico he was so good I hated him.

Thanks for the replies, the points made are fair and expected, it's ok, I know my game is totally unrealistic but what I would like to do is have to two save files, 1-this type and 2-normal game.
So a fantasy type game and then another game where I manage real clubs, this is the type of thing I have done on other management games.

Yeah it is and yes I did, I did think about starting again in the way that Pangaea said, but at the moment I'm really enjoying this game.

Fair enough that some of the players are too good for the lower levels, but I wanted some players that would be with the club during the hopeful rise to the prem. Javier Hernandez has been great, I didn't know much about him when I set this game up, and shortly after I did he was signed by Man Utd.

Ok I will sort that info out and then put it up.

Have you recieved any big offers for Hernandez?

With a silly strike rate like that, I'm amazed you've kept hold of him.

Well ..... yeah he has been linked with many clubs, had a lot of messages saying that managers/teams are interested but we have never had an official bid made for him.

    November 2016

Marko Amautovic scored twice with his 2nd coming 3 minutes into injury time to
earn Stopsley a point against Wolves. Amautovic opened the scoring but Wolves hit
back and when they took the lead on 90 minutes they looked set to win.

We dominated against Millwall but couldn't take any of the numerous chances
that we created, was very disappointed to lose and not at all pleased with the ref
for giving them a very soft penalty on 18 minutes.

Made a bad start against Portsmouth and was expecting the worst when Goddard
gave them the lead after just 7 minutes, but we cameback strong to take the points.
We carried the form into the game against Plymouth and Amautovic put us ahead
after just 4 minutes, Beckford wrapped up the win with a strike on 84 minutes.

We made it 3 wins in a row with 4-1 away win over Southampton, Hernandez opened
the scoring on 27 minutes but The Saints were level 8 minutes later when Tom Heaton
put the ball into his own net, the players didn't let their heads drop and instead the setback
spurred them on. Hernandez 41' & Amautovic 44' gave Stopsley a comfortable lead.
Renatinho pounced on a loose ball on 60 minutes to make it 4-1 and secure another 3 points.

    Latest Transfer Deals

Stopsley Utd made 5 signings during October and November, Keeper Jan Rauw has joined on loan
from Stopsley's parent club AC Milan and Bruno Pilatos is back at the club for a 2nd spell.

3 young Spaniards have joined Stopsley, the club wanted to have a better look at the
players but with the free transfer period close to closing Woodward decided to take a
chance and signed them on full contracts.

"It's not a big risk anyway, they are free, the wage deals are good but obviously
not big big money, so I see no problem with giving these 3 players a chance to show
us what they can do at the club. I've liked what I've seen so far and I think
they could surprise people who haven't seen or heard of the lads."

A closer look at the Spanish trio.......

Germán Rosado, Alfonso Ramos, Jordi Soto.

    -----------------------------------

    December 2016

The winning run came to an end but we played well against Cardiff, it was
a similar game to the recent fixture with Millwall, we created a lot more chances but
failed to take them. Hammond 77' & Peters 80' made Stopsley rue the missed chances.

Stopsley bounced back to beat Doncaster and Hull City and it was looking good
when the team took a 2-0 lead against Sheffield Utd, however the Blades fought
back in a 9 goal thriller at Bramall Lane. click for game overview

Stopsley responded well in the next game thumping Blackpool 5-1 with young Spaniard
Germán Rosado netting his 2nd goal for the club. Rosado made it 3 in 3 when he scored
the only goal of the game on 27 minutes against Queens Park Rangers.

Chesterfield were next up in the FA cup 3rd round, Hernandez netted a first half
hat trick and with Palsson also the scoring the game was won by half time.
Amautovic added a 5th goal on 74 minutes and Stopsley go into the New Year in great form.

    January 2017

The first game of the year was against league leaders Bolton, it was looking
good as we took a 2-0 lead but they were quick to pull a goal back.
Paul Huntington scored the winner for Bolton on 88 minutes. More Details

We drew the next 3 games starting with a 0-0 against West Brom, Germán Rosado
gave us a 14th minute lead against Crystal Palace but Colin James levelled on 43 minutes.
We then drew 1-1 with Watford, Germán Rosado was on the scoresheet again.

Next up was the FA cup 4th round, we were at home against Harchester utd.
It proved to be a five goal thriller and in the 16th meeting between the two clubs
we managed to seal only our 4th win thanks to a very late strike by Rosado. More Details

Germán Rosado was on the scoresheet for the fourth game running when he gave
us the lead against Swansea City after just 6 minutes, we were held to a fourth
league draw in a row when Stephan Ward made it 1-1 on 78 minutes.

We then travelled to Middlesbrough and a Lewin Nyatanga own goal put us
ahead on 25 minutes, Middlesbrough hit back through Oniforos Roushias 31'
and Cameron Jerome 38' to lead 2-1. Javier Hernández squared the game in
first half injury time and we were held to a fifth Consecutive league draw.

    January Transfers
The offer from Spurs was too good to turn down, it's worth an initial
£3.4m and will rise by £1.3 when/if Amautovic scores 30 goals.

Gianpaolo Bertelli then made the move in the opposite direction as
we used some of the money from the Amautovic deal.

Scott Loach was signed to come and be our number one as I see
Tom Heaton more as a back up keeper for us, Kevin Foley was
recommended by one of my scouts and will provide competition
for Phil Bardsley at right back.

    -----------------------------------

    February 2017

It was 0-0 at half time against Ipswich but we took control in the second half
to final end the run of draws and secure a deserved victory and 3pts. More Details

The next game against Harchester Utd turned into a shocker, it started well
with Martyn Waghorn giving us the lead on 6 minutes. Harchester levelled
through Daniel Golebiewski on 29 minutes, things were still looking ok with
both sides looking to win the game, Miguel Pallardo put Harchester ahead on
74 minutes and then Stopsley fell apart, Bjorn Helge Riise 76' made it 3-1.
Pallard got his 2nd from the spot on 83 minutes and Golebiewski scored his
2nd goal and Harchester's fifth in the 87th minute.

We then faced a trip to Anfield for the FA cup 5th round, confidence
was low and Liverpool were expected to win by a comfortable margin.
They did win and our goal was bombarded with over 20 shots, but despite being
outplayed for most of the game we came away with a respectable scoreline. More Details

Gianpaolo Bertelli put us head against Derby on 41 minutes, but a quick
double from Curtis Main in the second half gave Derby the 3pts. More Details

Will Hoskins scored after just 5 minutes to give Peterborough the lead.
Javier Hernández levelled on 21 minutes but Hoskins restored the lead
for Peterborough 2 minutes into the second half, Andros Townsend
rescued a late point for us with a strike on 88 minutes.

    March 2017

We started March with a good win over Reading, Gianpaolo Bertelli opened
the scoring on 31 minutes and then Mark Little scored an own goal 2 minutes
before half time to give us a comfortable 2-0 win.

We led 2-1 against Millwall after 29 minutes thanks to quick goals from
Bertelli 27' and Hernández 29', We were denied the win when Millwall
snatched a point in injury time. More Details

Goals from Hernández 20' and Rosado 56' saw us claim 3 points against
bottom of the table strugglers Wigan Athletic.

Victor Pálsson scored in the 81st minute to give us a point against Wolves.
Donny Gorter had opened the scoring for Wolves after 52 minutes.

The month ended with another 1-1 draw, Gianpaolo Bertelli put us ahead
on 58 minutes but David Lopez levelled for Portsmouth in the 77th minute.

    -----------------------------------

    April 2017

April started with an 8 goal thriller away at Plymouth Argyle, We were 3-1
down after 50 minutes but cameback to secure a great win. More Details

We carried that form on to our next game and were too good for Southampton.
Pálsson (2) and Hernández scored to give us a fine 3-0 win. More Details

The next game was one to forget, we were very poor and the less said
about Cardiff City's 5-1 win the better. Pratley, Chopra (2) and Thompson (2)
scored for Cardiff with Germán Rosado scoring our consolation goal.

Victor Pálsson scored after 12 minutes to give us the lead against Doncaster.
Jamil Adam denied us victory with a strike on 90 minutes.

The last game of the season saw us beat Blackpool 3-1, Rosado 40' gave us
a 1-0 lead at half time but Boyes soon levelled after the break.
A brace from Victor Pálsson saw us finish the season on a high. More Details

    Transfers So Far...
Nine players in and nine players out so far, We have spent £1.8m and I'm
confident that these players will do a good job for us in our push for promotion.

I didn't want Andros Townsend to leave but he wouldn't accept
a new deal, so I will be interested to see where he ends up going.
I wasn't planning to sell Tom Heaton but the offer came in from Spurs
and I feel that Jan Sebek is good enough cover for Scott Loach anyway.

    Thanks.

Admittedly I made my team too strong at the very start and it was probably easier than it should have been, but I think since getting to the PL we have overachieved, and now expectations are probably higher because of that.

I've had a great start with Nigeria, not gonna give too much away but we still have a bit of work to do to qualify for the World Cup.

I will get another update posted soon.

    SEASON 2023/2024 REVIEW

Stopsley Utd enjoyed a very successful season lifting two trophies.
The first trophy was secured with victory against Aston Villa in
the penultimate Premier League game of the season. The triumph
saw Stopsley claim the Premier League title for a second time.

Stopsley Utd's League Cup campaign was very short, just one game
which ended in a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the 3rd round.

The FA Cup was a much better story. Stopsley made it to the final
and claimed the trophy with a superb performance to beat Blackburn
4-1 at Wembley and secure a domestic double.

Stopsley enjoyed a great run in the Champions League, they made it
all the way to the final but suffered a tough loss agianst Real Madrid.

    Season 16 - 2024/2025 ----- February, March & April

    FA Cup
We suffered defeat in the FA Cup losing 3-2 on penalties to Huddersfield.

    Premier League
Going well until a blip in March when we lost a seven goal thriller against West Ham.
I was far from happy with the ref, three penalties against and our captain shown a straight red.
That was followed by defeat to Arsenal, Harchester then snatched a late point before
we then suffered a third defeat in four league games going down 1-0 away to Aston Villa.

We were back to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Leeds and a 1-0 win against Blackburn.
Man Utd were up next and we produced a superb display to thump them 5-0.

    Champions League
We bounced back well and gave Bayern Munich a drubbing in the Champions League.
That set up a Quarter-Final with Bordeaux and we progressed with a 4-2 win on aggregate.

We faced an all English Semi-Final showdown with Arsenal and a good solid display saw us win the away leg 1-0.
Our lead was increased 28 minutes into the second leg thanks to an own goal, the game proved to be a tense affair and
with the score at 3-2 to us on aggrgate it was a nervy finish as a goal from Arsenal would see them trough on away goals.
Thankfully our nerves were finally settled by Ryan Sobers and we won 3-2 on the night and 4-2 on aggregate.

We will be up against Lazio in the Final after they defeated defending champions Real Madrid.

    Thanks.

After our first season in the PL he did slowly become mainly back up due to new signings, but I would say he was a good player to have squad wise and could do a good job when needed as I think his stats show.

    Some recent manager news....

    A bit harsh.

He was replaced by Marcelino and they have since lost and also drew 4-4 after leading 4-1 at half time.

    STOPSLEY UTD

    Season 16 - 2024/2025 ----- May

    -----------------------------------

Aston Villa suffered back to back defeats against Man City and Man Utd so our
2-0 win over Everton secured the League title with two games to spare.

The League campaign nearly ended in defeat but we salvaged a point coming
back from two down against Chelsea at Chelsea Stadium (FM stadium names?).

The very last game of the 2024/2025 season was the Champions League Final.
We were up against Lazio, hoping we could improve on last seasons runners-up spot.

Unfortunately we couldn't and yet again found ourselves defeated 2-0.

We got off to a solid start against Algeria in the third round stage, but we came unstuck in
a shock home defeat to Namibia, we bounced back with an easy win a few days
later against Benin but it was only a friendly, we had tough games to come.

We managed to grab a point with an 85th minute goal against Senegal, then we left it
late against Namibia to gain revenge and take top spot, the winning goal coming
in the second minute of injury time. Another draw against Senegal saw us go
into the final game just two points ahead of Algeria.

A draw would have been enough but two goals in the last eight minutes
saw us qualify and make it look a bit more comfortable.

    Season 17 - 2025/2026 --- July, August, September & October

    -----------------------------------

    Staff News
I was offered a contract extension which I gladly accepted. Details
    Now on £100,000 per week.

News I forgot to mention last season, half way through
Stopsley legend Javier Hernandez became my assistant manager.
    Info 1 - Info 2 - Career Stats

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

We finally won the Community Shield beating Man Utd on penalties.
Then we had an amazing start in the Premier League with a record win against Burnley.
We continued in good form until Everton inflicted our first defeat.
We also looked to be heading for a good win against Man City and led 3-0 but
City left us shocked as they pegged us back in the last 20 minutes to gain a draw.

The 3-0 defeat to Blackburn was our only really poor display, we were 2-0 down
early on and never got going in the game, we bounced back well if a much changed team
sealing comfortable progress to the next round of the League Cup.

    Transfers
We smashed our transfer record to sign England international Jason Sercombe.
I tried to sign him a couple of seasons ago but Napoli wanted £98m plus 2 of our players.

    Champions League
Looking very good at the halfway stage of the group, a 100% record
and victory in our next game should secure a place in the next round.

Bad luck with the penalty defeat, but still a good season with the league win.

Thanks for the reply, at the moment I guess we would get the chokers tag in the CL.

    World Cup 2026
    Holders = Argentina ----- Hosts = Argentina
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Game 1
    Nigeria 0 Croatia 1
Not a great start as Croatia edge close game.

    Game 2
    Serbia 0 Nigeria 1
Another tight game but we deserved the win.

    Game 3
    Nigeria 2 Uruguay 1
We looked to be heading out but late strike puts us through.

    Group C - Final Table

    Through to 2nd Round
Argentina, Russia, France, Austria, Croatia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sweden
Spain, Switzerland, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, England, Colombia, Italy, USA

    Out of World Cup
Mexico, Tunisia, Australia, Cameroon, Uruguay, Serbia, Holland, Chile
Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Bulgaria, Japan, Iran, Germany, Brazil, South Korea

Brazil were favourites to win the World Cup but they suffered 1-0 defeats to Italy and USA
and drew 2-2 with South Korea, needless to say the manager got the chop.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Second Round
    South Africa 0 Nigeria 2
Nwánkwo brace sees us into the last eight.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Quarter-Final
    Austria 1 Nigeria 2
Nwánkwo with another double as we make last four.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

It would have to be England, they still haven't won the World Cup since
1966 but they are ranked 1st in the World rankings, Nigeria are ranked 25th.

So this is gonna be a very hard task if we are to pull off a shock win.
I will be up against some of my Stopsley players, Sean Carter, Graham Lewin,
Trevor Bird, Jason Sercombe and Phil Harris are in the England squad.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Semi-Final
    Nigeria 2 England 3
    Player Ratings

We pushed them close and led 2-1 at the break but we couldn't hold out and
it was my Stopsley player Jason Sercombe who broke Nigerian hearts.

Spain beat France 1-0 in the other semi-final so we will face France in the 3rd place play-off .

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    3rd Place Play-off
    France 0 Nigeria 2
We finish on a high to take 3rd place.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Final
    England 0 Spain 2
Spain are World Champions for a second time, England finish runners-up for a third time.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Golden Boot - Emmanuel Nwánkwo with 9 of Nigeria 11 goals.

Dream Team - Dominated by England and Spain, Nwánkwo makes into the 11.

World Rankings - England stay in 1st, Spain are up to 2nd and Nigeria up to 8th.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have resigned as manager of Nigeria, there are some other tempting international
jobs available right now, Jose Antonio Reyes decided to resign from his position after
guiding Spain to glory, so I did consider applying, Italy, USA and Uruguay are others
that could be interesting, USA and Uruguay interest me the most but my plan was
to resign and give international management a break unless the big job comes up.

    Season 18 - 2026/2027 --- July, August, September & October

    -----------------------------------

    Manager News
    Current Premier League Managers

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

We lifted another trophy in pre-season by beating the MLS All-Stars 2-0.
We lost yet again in the Community Shield, Man City won 4-3 on penalties.

The season started well with two wins, we then faced Man City again
and yet again they came out on top with a 3-2 win.

That was to be our only defeat as we then went on an unbeaten
run which is now twelve games and counting at the end of October.

One outstanding game in that run was the 6-4 win against Newcastle.

    Transfers
We spent over £90m bringing in nine players.

    Critchley (GK)
    Thomas (D C)
    Timms (M RC)
    Joselito (M C)
    Schmidt (D/WB/M L)
    Harvey (M L)
    Willetts (ST)
    Buthelezi (ST)
    Reimer (ST)

    Champions League
Looking very good at the halfway stage of the group again, a 100% record
and victory in our next game should secure a place in the next round.

Good to see someone around here with a created team. Seems you all are well on your way to becoming a legendary club too, much to the consternation of your compatriots in the EPL I'm sure. ;)

    Thanks.

Yeah I like my created club

The other EPL (well probably all the other English clubs) might not, but they will probably be getting some joy at our CL final defeats.

    Season 18 - 2026/2027 --- November, December & January

    -----------------------------------

We extended our unbeaten run to 14 games, but it was ended
with a 3-2 loss to Man Utd.
We lost heavily in the Champions League, but we had already
qualified so I made several changes to the side.
We then went on a 7 game winning streak before Man City
came to Stopsley Park and they edged a tight game 1-0.

We faced Watford in the League Cup semi-finals and I made changes
to the team for the first leg and we slipped to a surprise defeat.
So with work to do in the second leg I opted to go with a stronger
line-up, however it didn't look stronger as we soon found ourselves
3-0 down, but as it looked like we going out with a crushing defeat
we staged an amazing fightback to lead 4-3, Watford netted just
3 minutes later to secure a place in the final after a 4-4 draw.

Top of the table with a game in hand on second placed Spurs.
We are looking good for 4th title in a row.

Qualified with two games to play so I rested some players
and gave back-up and youth players some CL experience.

We will face AC Milan in the first knockout round.

    -----------------------------------

    Transfers
We spent just over £9m bringing in four more players.

    Blakeley (AM C)
    Stojanovic (AM L)
    Cooper (GK)
    Roberts (AM/FC)

    Four players were sold.

    Season 18 - 2026/2027 --- February, March, April & May

    -----------------------------------

We secured two 1-0 wins over Tottenham in January, the wins saw
us open up a bigger lead and also saw Tottenham's title challenge
fade badly as they slipped down the table.

In February we beat Liverpool in a five goal thriller, with them
Man City and Man Utd being the main challengers for the title.

In March we suffered a 1-0 loss to lowly Chelsea who were in
another relegation battle, but we bounced back with big wins
over Everton and title challengers Man Utd.

In April we suffered a big home defeat to Aston Villa but our lead
was now quite comfortable that it wasn't a massive blow to our hopes.
Earlier in the month I celebrated my 1000th game in FM management
with a 3-0 win against Burnley.

The title was wrapped up with a 4-0 win against Notts County.
We took just a point from our last two games as I decided to
rest players for the Champions League Final.

We made it to the Champions league final for a fourth season on the trot.
beating AC Milan 3-1, Ajax 9-2 and Inter Milan 8-4 on the way to face Hamburg.
The 2nd leg against Inter got scary early on.

So the Stopsley fans and management were hoping it would be fourth time lucky ...

35 minutes in and Hamburg took the lead and we were fearing the worst.
We were level on the stroke of half-time and our hopes of finally winning
were high again, but neither team could find a winner in the second half
so the final went to extra-time and we lost yet again, totally gutted.

    Season 19 - 2026/2027

    -----------------------------------

    Community Shield - Stopsley 0 Arsenal 2
Yet again we find ourselves defeated in the Shield.

We have just one win from six attempts.

    -----------------------------------

    Champions League - Group Draw
We are drawn in Group C and will face Genoa again.
We also have Standard Liege and PSV Eindhoven.

    Well let's see.

    Season 19 - 2027/2028 --- July, August & September

So we started by losing the Community shield yet again, nevermind because
we have made a fine start in the PL and cups, the only game
that I would class as a poor performance was against Huddersfield,
but they have proved over previous season that they are tricky opponents.

Made a great start in the Champions League against Standard.
We were then held at home by Genoa but I was happy with the point,
Genoa played well and a draw was a fair reflection of the game.

I made several changes for the cup game against Bournemouth.
The lads did well and we progressed with a comfortable win.

    -----------------------------------

    Transfers
    Rojas (DM, M C)
    Ortiz (AM RL, ST)

Just two players signed, I had adjusted the wage budget to raise
our transfer funds up to £124m, but the club have entered takeover talks,
so a transfer embargo was imposed and couldn't make anymore signings.

The takeover talks are dragging on, one minute in danger of callapse
then the next minute back on, also in a press release it was said
that if takeover goes through I will be replaced as Manager by my
Assistant Manager Javier Hernandez, that looks unlikely now, but I
will reveal why in another update later.

I could have offered him a higher wage to try and get him to stay with us,
I decided I wouldn't stand in his way of taking up a manager position.

I promoted from within the club, Oscar De Marcos is my new Assistant Manager.

    Season 19 - 2027/2028 --- October, November & December

    -----------------------------------

We were knocked out of the League Cup by QPR, I made several changes
to the side and we went out in a 3-1 defeat after extra-time.

We soon got over the cup upset and went on a ten game winning
streak in the Premier League and Champions League.

The winning streak came to an end in a game against our nearest
Premier League rivals Arsenal, after going behind early, we hit back to
lead 2-1 and it looked like the winning run would continue.
Arsenal netted in the 87th minute and the game finished 2-2.

Going into the new year we have a two point lead with a game
in hand on second placed Arsenal and remain unbeaten.

Might be too early to think about going the distance unbeaten
but well, it's only natural to think about it, can we do it though?

    Champions League - Group C
We had qualified for next round after 4 games, so I was able
to rest players for the 5th game, but I decided to go with a strong
line-up in the last game against Genoa because they were level on
points with PSV and I saw it as a chance to knock a tricky team
out of the competition. we did just that in a surprisingly easy game.

Just a snippet from our current season.

We have had quite a few bad defeats in this campaign but that is one of our worst ever, probably is our worst ever.

Did we do enough in the 1st leg to get through?

It's gonna be a tight finish in the Premier League...

Gunnarsson Cup is a Pre-Season cup named after current chairman
and it will be staged every pre-season while he is our chairman.

Man City beat Real Madrid to win the Champions League.

1 Trophy for us this season the European Super Cup, not our biggest target but it did mean
we qualified for the World Club Championship, but that proved to be another final we lost.

Our wins/losses in cup finals is in the negative, not quite sure how bad our
record is but the challenge is on to improve the record.

A good month on the whole but we suffered yet another defeat to Arsenal.
We are having a much better cup run than last season and despite a
dodgy second leg against Huddersfield we will face Aston Villa in the final.

Maw74, you asked if I could make you a logo. I've been taking a stab at it, and so far I've got this (inspired by the former badge of a certain Nottinghamshire club):

(EDIT: REMOVED IMAGES - as they were horrible, new version posted below ;))

By the way, are you planning to do a Stopsley game on FM2012? The game is great, lots better than '10.

    Thanks, looking good so far.

Yeah I have been thinking about doing a Stopsley game on FM12, maybe with Kenco's World League Database, but at the moment I have a Spurs game and a career game (Auckland City) going on with FM12.

    SEASON 29 - 2037/2038

    1ST TEAM

    RESERVES

    UNDER 18'S

    TRANSFERS

Wilson & Gutiérrez were signed due to scout reports
so hopefully they will progress well, the free players
were just signed to increase numbers in reserve squad.

Major Signing - José Luis Lorenzo
We needed another option for the left midfield.
Lorenzo fits the bill perfectly and will be playing
at left back unless Valadez is injured or rested.

    Stopsley Utd Captain - Paulista
I have just made him our permanent Captain for the new season,
he captained the side a lot last season anyway, because Sobers (C)
& Thomas (VC) have been playing less games.

Our other January signing Ben Hawkins is a player for the future he will go into the reserve squad, as will Maldonado
for now because he can't play any first team games.

We were knocked out of the League Cup early by Tottenham.
This result in the final makes our exit a lot easier to take.

Lost interest in my FM12 games and waiting for FM13, have been playing this game again.
I've have just started season 32 and hopefully should complete that before FM13 is released.
