I am trying to install the latest patch for football manager 2010

i have downloaded the boxed version as i orginally bought the game in a shop but once it downloads i canot link it to the game itself. I keep getting the message windows can not find this file. anyone else getting this problem or anyone know how to solve this.

try adding .exe at the end of the file name

great that seemed to have worked but now im getting a message that a sharing violation has occured when it is trying to install.

If you are on Vista, check you run the patch as administrator, it should be an option when you right click on it, third one down if I recall correctly.

Also a restart of the computer will ensure that nothing else is running that might cause a sharing issue.

If neither of those work, try downloading the patch again as you may have a corrupt patch.

Close the game and try again- you cant install the patch with the game running
