If you want to play before then then you would have to try and get a subscription (spaces permitting).

My advise would to wait until you get it though as it doesn't matter at which point you join the gameworld in the first 7 days (and very little thereafter!).
why doesnt that matter? i mean if your fast today, confirming your squad you would be able to buy a good player that is unlocked from the start? if your a bit cheap with money on startin squad

ahh you must wait 1 week? well my plan is to save alot of money on startin squad and buy a star after 1 week, with managment skill. BTW what learning you need to be faster in managment skills?

Has anyone got the slightest clue when the first gameworld will be launched as then I will be able to subscribe again. I'm guessing it'll be pretty soon considering the website is currently being upgraded.

I don't like to complain.. but this is getting a bit silly. A complete waste of a evening/night (australia).

I understand it will be up when its up. but the communication has been well below par.

as a new subscriber all I can say is this game had better be worth the hassle of waiting since december when i bought the boxed game till now just to try it :P

This is deja vu from the original launch. Anticipation, frustration, and a lot of time spent checking the message boards for updates. If SI/Sega were a woman in a bar, she'd be a ****-tease.

Also hopefully it won't be like the first launch and the GW's ready by 6pm then the server couldn't handle everyone coming on at once and there was another big delay.
Fingers crossed when it launches that problem won't occur again

Im pretty sure there are some technical problems, would be nice to understand the reason why itis taking so long
I mean, I find it normal if there are some technical issue's, but keeping people in the dark like this, seems to happen every time when theres a large "add on".
Everyone would fully appreciate a rough idea if it's minutes, hours or days
All the talk about the "next" GW after voller comming online, how many hours roughly more?
Obviously we where told the reset was wednesday, and that could be 11:59 PM, but letting the customers know, within a wide span of hours for ex morning, mid-day, afternoon, evening, night gives you a good 3-4 hours heartbeat each time.
Anywho, thanks for all the hard work put into our game that we play and love with passion, a little more transparence would be fully appreciated

why is everyone moaning, have been on this forum most of the day and besides someone say they hope to have had voller up by noon (not guaranteed) there has been no indication of an exact time that the gw's would be up b4 5pm or even 8pm, if they are up today then they have kept to the date they gave

There seems to be a slim chance of SI launching two gameworlds today, as I understand was the original idea, at this rate. 4h33 pm and still counting for the first one.

I know you guys want to get it "just right", and that it's better to wait and get it right than to launch it and get it wrong, but ... SURELY you knew this kinda situation would arise?

Having said that, unlike others, it seems, I DO have things to do, so will keep an eye on things calmly as I get on with life, haha. Would nevertheless appreciate a swift resolution, if at all possible, to all this, though I won't stamp my feet and throw a tantrum if it ain't ;-)

We did know yes, which is why we specifically never stated a time for these gameworld launches.

We are still hoping to be able to launch 4 today.

Once we've got one up and running smoothly, the others should follow without too much hassle

what i dont understand why not always give urself a higher window of margin but saying hopefully we want the first 1 up at noon is gonna cause ppl on the forums about it why not have said by 8pm cause then it gives u a more graceful period to make sure it is right and if u finish early then u can announance it early and then ppl would be ablot happier but by always as it seems going over the tie limit on things would be wise to run a more cautious approach of timing in the future

All this waiting reminds me of transfer deadline day - hours of nothing happening whilst people discuss possibilities and rumour... and then WHAM! right when you're least expecting it, something awesome happens. Like Stoke signing a backup defender. :P

Next time SI should launch things on the same day as the close of the august transfer window for ultimate brain implosion.

You should strive for a position in politics rather than at FML (oh well, you could easily combine the two) - being able to build so many reservations in 3 sentences :-) :-) :-)

Thanks Bertie for keeping us informed, i know these things can take a long time! I would actually be amazed if everything went smoothly, it happens on every game Call of duty, FIFA, everything...

If you manage to get everything working smoothly i would highly impressed!

Also, i'd love it if Ramos was opened so i could give my big headed mate a game who has been hassling me all day about him wanting to thrash me!

    Under promise-over deliver.

Might have been an idea to say the first GW was launching on Thursday, with the aim of launching it on the Weds.

Instead of all these people moaning, you'd have nothing, then praise when the GW launches "early"

    Just an idea.

I think the main point people are getting at is maybe it would have been better to just say wednesday evening, then there would have been all day to do what you have to do and could open them up hours after finishing. but meh, once i can signup i will be happy I'm sure

A quick and clear reply - thank you. I feel much more pacified now (genuinely so, no sarcasm of any kind intended) :-) - again, thanks.

Good to hear that you're still hoping to launch your stipulated number of gameworlds today, and that, once one is up, the rest should hopefully follow along, as you say, without too much hassle. Genuine thanks for keeping us in the loop (of knowledge), and I'm REALLY looking forward to playing the game once everything is working. Cheers.

it is the same as when you build your first copmuter, you take ages to build it to make sure it works, and once the first is built, up and running the others you build don't take as long. If SI had got Voller up by lunchtime then I believe they may have tried to get all 8gw's up and running today, but they must of realised that they would have problems which is why they have stated on 4 gw's today and 4 tomorrow. I'm about to go and put new curtain pole in my son's room and will be down for an update just afterwards. Hopefully Voller is up and running soon as then Ramos should be up not long after and then Valderrama just after that (my new gw)

i just dont get it what so ever, why wasnt all of this work done before the launch ? you could have done all the work before hand, seems bonkers....

worst of all its a "relaunch" so there isnt really an excuse, i know you didnt pin down a exat time but most people would assume that you guys would have been thinking logically and actually launched it in the morning / afternoon...

hell why dont we just say "the relaunch will be at some point within the next month"

Damn you! I'm sitting in a toilet cubicle at work getting an update from the iPhone and you make me chuckle out loud, which would have been fine if the other cubicle wasn't occupied

now waiting for the other guy to leave so I can think of a reasonable excuse why you laugh in a toilet on your own

You can't really give a time as you are not sure if there will be any problems and then if there is any problems then ppl will again start getting impatient as you didn't account for problems. I believe that by not setting a time to launch the first new GW that way SI can iron out any problems without ppl complaining that they can't get on or it keeps crashing as they rushed the launch of the new GW's and this way they won't haev to take the server's offline too fix problems that we find. If they iron out all problems beforehand then they won't have many ppl moaning.

Come on guys, I'm sure they're doing their best. I, for one, don't want to behave like a spoilt brat (not insinuating that anyone else is at all!) by stamping my feet and going mental when the guys did not, in fact, specify a launch time beyond saying it would be today.

Despite Bill Shankly, sometimes, just sometimes, there ARE more important things in life than football.

Or am I talking total rubbish? You decide. In the meantime, while we wait, though, why not get a ball out and go for a kickabout or something in the local park? Some of us could use the exercise, I bet, haha ;-)

sorry to go over trodden ground but would really like some idea when first GW is opening. Please give an ETA - after all it is just an estimate. I have some things to do and would like to know wether in the next ninety minutes its worth waiting as I have to go to the Villa. Please just an Estimate - like in the next 1-3 hours would be great

Really, the way to do it, is have it 100% complete, tested and ready to go a long time before launch, 2 or 3 days before, so come launch day, it simply is a case of turning it on.

I'm not actually complaining (its pointless as It does nothing, and my GW doesnt open till "tomorrow" anyway.) But, given the amount of time to prepare, this relaunch should have been bang on time, no real excuses can be given, as nothing had to wait till today to do.

I am really excited about it, hopefully years of FML to come..

    LONG LIVE FML!

It's not as if we've spent the last two days twiddling our thumbs. We've been hard at work getting everything ready from the moment we shut down the old gameworlds.

Unfortunately, as is life, things very rarely go completely to plan so there's been some things to iron out - we anticipated this, hence why we've been very hesitant about giving any indication as to when they will relaunch apart from that they will be today, which they are still on target to be.

Obviously we would have loved everything to go smoothly and been able to launch these gameworlds this morning - my day for one would have been a lot less stressful if we did.

We want these gameworlds up and running as much as you do, so please be patient while we get everything ready.

Why is everyone acting surprised? Every single update without exception has been a complete farce, usually blamed on the dreaded 'unforseen problems' which is why the communication is always woefully inadequate, they genuinely have absolutely no idea when they will be able to deliver what they've promised despite having months to sort it, thus the reason they won't give you a specific time. Just be patient gentlemen, Basil Fawlty is putting all his project management skills to full use up in SI headquarters to get the job done asap.

How do you know that? There was a lot that we couldn't do until the old gameworlds were shut down, so we've only actually had a couple of days to get these done.

It's always the same, despite no specific times being given we get people moaning because the game's not ready in time for them to set their squad up before they go out or go to work or whatever else it is they have to do.

I'm sure that if everything was ready to launch it would have happened by now, so all we can do is wait. Would people rather SI rushed in to things and have the GW crash as soon as everyone starts trying to sign in? No specific time was given for the launch to begin, just a tentative estimate and no more.

I'm pretty certain the guys want to launch as soon as possible, but I'm also sure they want to get it right. Also, I'm sure they don't have a list of every manager's plans for the day. If you're able to stay home and wait for the launch to happen, great. If you have to go out, unlucky. If you have to go to work, double unlucky. But can we please stop slagging the guys off because they haven't got things up and running in time to fit in with your personal plans, because not only is that is a total impossibility but moaning about it makes no difference to the eventual outcome whatsoever.

i understand only to well about studio deadlines bertie, but surely with SI missing pretty much deadline they have ever set, you would think they might go " ohh this launch is really pretty important to FML, lets estimate a release and what ever we come up with +24 hours to it "

i just dont think they realise when people get excited over things they lay plans out ect, booking time off work ect, arranging not to go out ect, this then adds to the frustration..

i now have to go to a night job in 30 mins time, and guess what ill more than likely be annoyed the fact ive sat here for 12 hours and the moment i step outside you can garentee the world will launch and i wont be able to sign up to it

as the mods in here have stated alot of work had to wait until they had closed down all the old gw's and as most where in mid season they had to auto resolve until the end of the season. Once everything was done then they could shut down the old gw's and start the relaunch of the new gw's

yes 4 tonight, i understand 2 fantasy and 2 returning, Voller has been said there isnt much chance of newbies signing in for it, so that leaves everyone jumping into 1 fantasy world.

then you can say ohh but tomorow more will open, judging on the performance that will be another 12 hour wait

Why doesn't everyone just get off their backs?! What's the rush, the days of been first in to sign Toni Kroos are long gone, think November 2008!

Chill, if they didn't have to spend so much time answering stupidly impatient comments/pot-shots on these boards they might have time for more important things!

Not really, i predict once they have one GW sorted and working then the others will be up quite fast tbh..

If all four are open today then i predict the other four will be open by lunch time tomorrow

Errr no it's not. We're still on schedule for our announced release - which is 4 gameworlds today, so how can that be poor plannig/

Even if something does go wrong so we can't go today (which hasn't happened yet btw) it wouldn't be poor planning, because we also announced that there may be delays if there are any problems.

If we were to have shut everything down 2 weeks ago, I'm sure we'd have a lot more ****ed off people on here right now.

i just dont think they realise when people get excited over things they lay plans out ect, booking time off work ect, arranging not to go out ect, this then adds to the frustration..

i now have to go to a night job in 30 mins time, and guess what ill more than likely be annoyed the fact ive sat here for 12 hours and the moment i step outside you can garentee the world will launch and i wont be able to sign up to it
why the hell didnt you go out earlier then?
