Version 1.5 Update Announced

We’re also pleased to announce that the anticipated Version 1.5 Update is planned to be released on Monday 15th March. There is likely to be an extended period of downtime planned that could see the game unavailable from 6am until 8pm (GMT) – although we hope to have all gameworlds up and running before then.

We will confirm the exact timings before the beginning of next week.

A full changelist is available on the manual.

No, this is not the date for the reset.

This is the date for the 1.5 update. The reset will happen at some point after then (but still in March).

Sit tight, we're nearly at the stage where we can announce it.

Does this mean that if a manager decides to auto rebid on his own player rather than auto-extending him he still has to bid/pay the wage demand minimum.

I have usually made a judgement call on which to do with players as if his wage demand has a significant increase i sometimes take the risk of auto-rebidding in the hope of at least trying to keep the wage slightly lower.

"- Enable the 'Confirm Squad...' button even when the manager has picked less than 16 players, but bring up a message telling them they need more than 16, when they click on it."

Presumably this is not until the season starts otherwise early "confirmers" WILL HAVE a financial advantage?

Hey, I don't currently subscribe to the game (used to a long time ago) and I am considering rejoining after the restart.

After reading the release notes there a couple issues regarding skills that I would like clarifying:

1. A new user still can't catch up to someone in skills
2. Given enough time it is still possible to max out all skills

If 1 and 2 are correct, then...
3. The skills gap between new and old players will still be present. The difference between previous versions and 1.5 will be the amount of time necessary to create a credible lead i.e. an additional specialty maxed out.

I would appreciate it if someone took the time to explain/validate my assumptions based on current data made available by SI.

Yes, that's a typo in the changelist, you only need 16 players.

All this change is is instead of greying out the button when you have less than 16 players, it instead lets you click on it but then tell you you need 16 players - just a little more user friendly, rather than leaving people scratching their heads as to why the button doesn't work.

Correct, this only applies after the very first preseason.

Sorry, this is an error, and needs removing from the changelist.

It was an experimental change, but was reverted.

I'm missing some info in the changelist on the new skill 'Academy expansion'. Maximum number YA's is now 6 (right?) and you need Academy Operation 5 to be able to learn 'Acedemy Expansion'. In other words: 1 YA if you don't specialize in Engeneering (and maybe Scouting).

It may go down again in a short while for the login server to reboot, but after that everything should be back to normal

Not sure why but I started off having the problem of 'unable to log in' but now it tells me my client isn't compatible, anyone else having this issue?
