Mac FM2010 - serial number incorrect (length)

perhaps it's me, or sega's site for FM 2010 ain't v user-friendly.... but i am unable to find a serial number to enter for the mac version. All I have is the FM 2010 Steam Code on teh back of the manual which FM2010 tells me is 'incorrect due to length..".

I am in Jan 2010 and the game won't let me continue w/o continuing.

Can anyone please help?

Is it the disc or steam? because you cant use steam on macs....

also if its the disc you do not need the serial number anymore.

Disc and not steam. I have the disc in my mac mini. I read somewhere I don't need serial number anymore too but my screen still reads you must activate your copy b4 u can play.

Have you patched the game? Sounds like you could have patched it with a digital download patch.
