Well Genie has released a new scout for 08 in the last few hours, not tried it yet so don't know if it works, just thought you would be interested in checking it out.

Its not a new scout. Its a beta version of the current scout.

I'm sure the guy meant new version, which it is, as the author has stated some load fixes.
Sadly it still doesn't work for me.

If you cant get the scout to work, its because you need to do the following.
Go to properties of the .exe launcher, and tick the box that says to run as administrator. It should work then.

The scene once again said Genie was dead and everyone should now concentrate on Mini Scout but Genie once again comes roaring back to prove his critics wrong.
Thnaks Genie I can now enjoy FM again.

I openned both Genie and Mini Scout, and they seem to have a lot of different rating values. Which one do you guys think its the more accurate and why ?

I believe Genie, becos i've been using it for a while and the stats are spot on and are exactly as they are on screen.
Never used mini scout tho.

I'm downloading it right now and I'm praying to the gods that it works. Its not that I use the Potential Ability thing, its just that my playing time is quite limited and it would be great if i could scout players to buy without having to use precious playing hours to do so!

NO!! Why doesn't it work? It just says 'The file doesn't seem to be a valid FM saved game'. Please tell me i can fix this!

Doesnt work if you compress ypur save game- try unchecking that.

My game time is limited and when I do get chance to play it I don't want to have to be using all that time looking for players. What is the point in looking for players and then having no time to play with them?
TBH the game should coem with this like it used to. If it's there then it's up to the gamer is they use it or not.

Well i did uncheck it and now it says 'data file seems to be corrupt. wanted to read 4 bytes, could only read 0 bytes.'
Any fix for this?
