FML Version 1.4 Announced

We’re pleased to announce that the anticipated Version 1.4 Update has been code-locked and has entered its final testing phase.

New features include the much anticipated Youth Academies, Match Challenges, Reward Points, Revamped Ranking and Reputation systems and much more!

We plan to release Version 1.4 on Monday 1st February and there is likely to be an extended period of downtime that could see the game unavailable from 6am until midnight* (GMT) – although we hope to have all gameworlds up and running before then.

We will confirm the exact date and times of this before the date of the update, in case there is a change of plan.

UPDATE: *We're extending the potential downtime of this update by a further 4 hours, so it's now estimated to be back up at about midnight. We still hope to have the gameworlds back before then, but better safe than sorry!

Well done guys, alot of people were losing interest in fml. This will give us something to look forward to and hopefully all the new additions will be worth the wait.

No it wont, the reset is still planned to happen in March at some point

Looking forward to the 1.4 and the reset, Bring new freshness to the game, hope to get more players into the game and keep the mangers already on the game... Roll on 1st of feb if thats the date to happen, av signed up for beta just wait and see if i can get an early look.

I am in Miller as well as St John and Le Tiss so I do know what is happening with 1.4, but do we get a 'refund' for our coaching skills like previously when we had updates?

No that's not the plan afaik. JP is still a powerful tool so it would be a step too far to refund is what I think the decision was

I'm afraid not. This isn't the update which will co-incide with the reset. The reset is due around March

We never said start of March, just that it will be in March.

When exactly is still unknown, but everything is still looking on schedule for this to be the case.

I just updated my FML. Server still offline but the skin that was automaticly downloaded is a verry nice one. Keep up the good work and we are back playing in a couple of hours

During an update day, the status of the client and gameworlds will change continually throughout, so it's best to wait until we're actually back up and running

If you still have problems then (hopefully not!), we'll of course do our best to get you playing again as soon as possible

I would say from the evidence of previous update whinging on the forums a larger window is needed. It seems that if SI try to give an accurate window and overrun then people take to the streets with burning tourches and chanting.

Maybe by giving a big downtime up front and (hopefully) completing early it will be taken better by impatient fans

I can't remember exactly whether there are skins in this update, but if there are - they are activated from within the game client itself and will be available after the gameworlds are back

I for one was one of those torch bearers, i even brought some petrol too last time.

What you say is probably true, SI are just giving a larger window to allow for any slight delays, and thus preventing screaming coup members such as me from venting my fml withdrawal symptoms (aka fml rage) on the forums.

nope..not really any point restarting...what i think a good idea is..trim your senior squad to 16..

Build your academy..to see how it works...try some new tactics maybe..

but i wouldnt restart unless your gw is doing some kind of international FA.

its your game..play it your way! (i think i pinched that from somewhere)

on the subject of having nothing to do....ive done some painting today...the mrs thinks im not well!

Coppell is a beta world. The beta clients differ from world to world. The live world clients are uniform.

Can I just check something. In the new update it includes the returning starts feature. So in my particular GW, Papin, the season ends on about 12 February. So after that does everyone then get a returning star? If so it says they can't play in official competitions until the season after so by the time we get to that time the GW will be reset and all our players will be lost??

I doubt this feature will be enabled until post reset. I may be wrong there however

yep the balls still moving, i think if we work out how long it took/takes for those 4 servers to go to green, then under maintenance to green again we will have an idea on how long it will take for all the others.

But if history is anything to go by, Durie (even though an old gameworld) will be one of the last sorted. But here's to a new change and durie being in first 10

We will be testing the gameworlds throughout the evening to make sure everything is as it should be.

lol. makerfield whites. owen coyle is the best and good luck to you m8. thought we were the better team first half last week at yours, but second half dont know what happend. Think we would of gone down anyway with coyle although he was the one if anyone to keep us up. hopefully we can do it in stages up and down like yous did yourselves and west brom another. i like the rivalry in the prem blackburn bolton united city. we will be back. coyle will always be god and take him back any time but he will make you good good luck with him.
