Why is my poacher on the wing so often?

I'd check hie positioning attribute. If it's low i would think that is the problem.

Because he moves into channels by default I believe. Go into advanced and change it if you don't want him out there. He may end up being marked out of the game though..

If you read the poachers description, you'll see that it says he'll be happy to cross from the wing. Also Positioning has nothing to do with it, even if it has then it's Off The Ball attribute that matters.

Yeah, positioning is a defensive attribute.

I think that it's the moves into channels wide play. Remove it.
