For people who have a son in the game (not in IRL obviously ), I'm interested about nationality. Say me I am English of Irish descent so have put my first nationality as English and second nationality as Irish. If I am managing a team in England and my son comes through the ranks, would he have second nationality as Irish also? Because I would love it if my son ended up playing for Ireland, probably more so than England.

Also if I do get a son in my game it'd be great if he was called Fredo. Therefore if he ever committed the cardinal sin of wanting to move to Liverpool, I could do this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DtbW_wUe8k
I had a son last night, and like you, my second nationality is Irish. It only has English for him though, would have liked the lad to play for the Emerald Isle but oh well

Happened to me in Newcastle. After few seasons it appeared that I have son, Jaroslaw who has been promoted to youth squad. It also says something about me since I became a father being 15 years old, hehehe.

Are there any requirements for having a son? Like amount of time at a club, or reputation etc?

Getting a son in FM2010 is pure luck which makes it very rare.

I ask because I joined Real Madrid in mid-june and am trying reloading the game constantly, waiting for a son, but I'll have wasted about a day if it can't happen.

Just carry on the game normally, but keep on checking your youth and reserves team so if you do get a son you can put him up to the first team right away.

You could use the editor to put a youth player with your surname and with you in their favoured personnel but actually getting a son in the game is a better feeling.

It's easier to know who is your son if you don't have a common surname, so if your surname is Smith and your managing Birmingham and someone comes through the academy with your surname and with you in favoured personnel it's unlikely he's your son.

After a glorious Football Career Danny Mohiddins begins his managerial career. A tough group which included Holland and Scotland was always going to be a good test .

Hey, can you post some pics of the English league? I want to see which teams were raised to big clubs, and which teams flopped and are now in lower leagues. \ (So the English league up to the BSPL)

Amazing career, just read the whole thread. Put a smile on my face when he finally won a World Cup after all his bad luck in that competition. And congrats on getting such a star as a son. Hope he manages for many decades...

From my calculations he is equally good at coaching Ball Control, Shooting & Set Pieces.

I wouldn't use him anywhere else.

I would move him on if he's offered a manager position. That's when the fun begins all over. He's 42, time to start out in management.

You should let him leave to fend for himself. He could use the experience of being away from his father for a change.

After long thinking , Danny Mohiddin thought it was time for him to move on , and suprise suprise Chelsea wanted him as a coach ...

Aston Villa have just released their manager ...

Man City want an assistant manager ..

I did not even bother giving him a new contract .. Villa were the first to offer him a contract ... a year after i made him first team coach .. meaning Ronaldino retired and Danny moved on so i need an assistant ..

Pretty Funny , Look at Aston Villa this season prior to last ..

Aston Villa and England U21 Manager!

After retiring from proffesional football and going straight into management, Danny Mohiddin sure has shown that he's a brilliant manager, winning the euros (U21) and now with a decent premier league side as well.

SO FAR THE GAME STATS AS FOLLOWS :

NEWCASTLE HAVE WON 2 AND DRAWN 1 AGAINST ASTON VILLA ..

    3 - 0 victory for Newcastle ..
    2 - 2 draw with Aston Villa getting a last minute .. 50/50 possession ..
1 - 0 ( this season ) Newcastle had less possession at home and still won ..

After retiring from proffesional football and going straight into management, Danny Mohiddin sure has shown that he's a brilliant manager, winning the euros (U21) and now with a decent premier league side as well.
it even has him as a talented manager ..

just read through a lot of this, what a great game.

but how do you manage to get through the game so quickly? it takes me ages just to complete a season as theres so much processing etc. also do you just do commentary for match highlights or something?

Shame there isn't more to the whole father-son thing, aside from start at own club/has surname/has you as favoured personnel. There isn't any extra dimension to the standard player-manager (or now manager-manager) interaction.

I will definitely love to see how Danny develops as a manager, and how he compares with his father.

So have you worked out his transfer policy yet. Is he an Arsene or a Sir Alex when it comes to transfers?
