Network Games Help For A Newbie?

I'm new to this whole Networking thing so can someone please explain the basics. I understand that you play with fellow managers but I don't get how it works..

How can you all progress through this at the same time together?
How will we play each other?
Can someone just basically tell me everything I need to know about this game mode..
I'm a newbie to it

Bottom right hand side of your screen, go to forum jump and then select the FM Online forum from the list.

Thanks Mods, Is there a forum where people advertise their network games? I'm looking to join one. Sounds quite fun and with the holidays I've got some time on my hands

Yeah the FM Online online forum has a clan advertisements thread for those looking to join games. They also have a player listings and short term game thread as well.
