[FM10] Back to Asia

Time I chronicled my game in Asia, seeing as the likes of Dafuge, Rancer, Raware and Crouchie have inspired me with their efforts. I was running a similar game in FM10 before the dereaded crash dumps kicked in. I began that in the Macanese League, bringing a team from the third division up to 2st division and AFC Cup champions in four years, before moving over to Japan and China. I have since given up on this game, as it won't go past July 2013. I hope this doesn't go the same way.

First up, the specs:

Game: FM10

Version: 10.2 patched

Database: Large

Leagues running: Putting the excellent Frank Ng Asian leagues files to good use here. As a result, I am running the following:

China - 2nd division and above

Hong Kong - 3rd division and above

Japan - regional leagues up

Macau - 3rd divisions up

Malaysia - Premier Club up

Singapore - National up

South Korea - N-League up

England - League 2 up

I have started the game unemployed and taken up my first offer in Macau. The reasons for this being I used to live there and I did some coaching at a 3rd division side there back in my time there. From here, I want to lead a Macanese side to success in the continental competition before moving on to somewhere else. My ultimate aim is to sweep up all of the major club trophies in Asia, take charge of the Macanese national team (lead them to the World Cup finals, per chance?!), before moving back to England.

I will update this with my first season in due course, as well as introduce you to the club I am with and the league structure in Macau. Feel free to comment, criticise and enjoy.

What were your problems with the crash dumps then, I think I may have caught the illness

It could have been the update. Or so I thought initially. However every time I started a new game, the dumps would come straight away. As for my firs Asia save, it just wouldn't go past the date I mentioned in the OP. No idea why, could be the added files. We'll see when I get to 2013 n this one!

Have you installed the new patch, as the game seems to be running a lot better (i.e. nowhere near as much memory leaking...yet.)

Is it not worth holidaying the game setup first of all to 2013 and see if you have any problems? It'd be horrible to get really into a career to have that happen again

Good to see another Asia game going here and i'm glad our (daf, crouchy, rancer and I) current threads have inspired you to log your career here . Shame about your first save, hopefully this one will be more successful and you can have some longevity.

Good luck in Macau (it's somewhere I love and try to frequent as often as possible to have a little flutter in the casinos ). It'll be interesting to see you trying to achieve a similar thing that i'm trying; a clean sweep of the major club trophies in Asia.

Could do but to be honest, I cba. If it doesn't reach 2014 I am just going to nag Frank.

I hasten to add that, since it crashed the first time, I have tried holidaying beyond July 2013 (varied points of this month it crashes), all to no avail.
