What kind of things do other players of the game, do in pre season to make the players have a good fitness for when the season starts?
Play friendlies? Tackle easy?
Play a few friendlies, not bother with any kind of special fitness training as there is absolutely no need.
I have a pre-season schedule which I put everyone on.
I obviously play some friendlies to get match fitness and I rotate the players during each match.
One good tip is to lower closing down and go easy on the tackling during pre-season. Try to keep things slower and don't over exert the players too much while they are gaining match fitness.
