Default the greatest ever striker you've found in any FM/your most memorable strikeforce

I just thought it would be fun to remember the halcyon days of simulated football management! My favourite game was one on - i think - fm 2008. I managed crewe to the premiership title over severeal seasons and then managed england, arsenal and mexico, winning the league several times with arsenal, 3 european cups and getting to a world cup final with england and winning the confederations cup with mexico.

My favourite striker ever was at Arsenal. I had been tracking this player for 4 or 5 seasons but couldn't afford him at Crewe - called Fabiano Oliveira, whom you might remember as he was an authentic player in that game. He'd consistently hit 25 goals a season in the brazilian league and had everything a striker needs. Strength was 17 or 18, fitness 19, finishing and comosure close to 20 but he could dribble well, moved well and also had a determined character.

So having followed him for several years and been rejected numerous times by club and player at crewe, i joined the gunners and immediately bid 11 mil for him aged 27 or 28.

He was the best signing i ever made and went on to score 25-30 goals in the premiership every single season with arsenal and fired us to 3 back to back league titles and 3 european cups. He was absolutely fantastic in that even when he didn 't score, his all-round contribution was great. He scored headers, volleys, mazey runs and created space for others as a target man. He loved the club and me and the fans rated him on the club info screen within 6 months or so and always chanted his name when he score din big games!

Even better was the fact he had fitness close to 20. I put him in intensive strength training and his fitness improved further to 20, his strength eventually reaching 20 when he was about 33 and his pace tailed off slightly. So he kept performing well and actually improved as a target man into his 33rd year.

For 11 mil, i got 5 or 6 seasons out of him and he made his brazil debut aged 32.

on fm 2010, i think it has to be Hugo Almeida so far. I got newcastle up to the prem and finished in a champs league spot and almeida has been an outstanding target man, scoring 20-30 goals every season and single-handedly keeping the team up in the first year. He only cost me 4.5 mil and he's given 3 years of great service and won the player of the year award etc. I've been playing him either with Jo, Matias Defederico or Hoarau.

In the distant past, remember Enrico Chiesa from championship manager italia?!

FM 2007 - I had a regen Israeli striker called Sagi Sachar. He was relatively unstoppable. Even took Israel to the World Cup semi-finals.

    Darren Pratley on FM07.

I started with Derby in the Championship, in three years I had them in the Champions League and I left to manage Sevilla. I lasted half a season before I got bored, so resigned and took over Cameroon. QPR approached me at the start of the next season and I accepted, winning the Championship in my first full season there, and signing Pratley from Wigan on a free.

He would go on to score 20+ five times in the next six seasons playing just behind the front two, captain the club to a Premiership title and break all kinds of assists records too.

(Not quite a striker I know but hands down my favourite ever attacking player on any FM).

Mine was a regen on 09 called Alejandro Cobo, he was a consistent goalscorer.
He actually played alot more seasons than the screenshot and always scored 25-30+ league goals but don't have a screenie after that.

My best ever striker was either Sinisa Lucic on FM07 with Slavonija in Croatia. He so nearly shot us to Champions League glory, losing in the final to Sporting

Going further back was on CM2 with Spurs. I had a striker called Clint Mudd. He was outrageous.

Mine isn't FM but on Championship Manager 00/01 I signed Martin Palermo from Boca Juniors for Glasgow Rangers and he tore the league apart. £12M well spent

A combination of many things, (A good tactic being one) - But ultimately - He plays for Knockbreda, 1 of 5 Pro Clubs in a 3 tier league system. I'm dominant, have won 38 consecutive league titles, and he's pretty awesome for my league, pretty much.

I'm impressed, how did you manage to keep such a good player from going to bigger clubs?
I'm guessing this is fm09 also?

How the fark?! That's got to be cheating somehow. He's surely winning you the league on his own every year. How come he's resisted bigger clubs?

On FM06 on the Xbox, my front line of Oyvind Hoas and Tommy Hoiland thrust Kristiansund BK into the Champions League first round from their humble beginnings in the Second Division groups.

On FM09, it was just one man. Alberto 'Big Al' Paloschi

I kept him by offering him a 5 year contract at the end of every season. Until he was 21, no clubs were interested, so he was contracted to Age 26. He rejected a few times, and got unhappy I didn't allow him to move, but then I won the Champions League, and he signed another 5 year deal aged 24.

    Its not cheating, fwiw.

mine was frazier cambell and dong fangzhou both on loan from manchester to bradford city on FM07 (or it couldve been 06 or 08?).
they scored nearly 100 goals between them. frazier was espescially prolific.

No idea what his CA and PA are. I don't have any scouting tools, or editors. (On a Mac).

You can download the save game from my career thread, if you want to look at that kind of thing

3rd: Goran pandev single handedly won chelsea the league, champions league and FA cup FM08. 2nd. johann elmander for bolton stopped me getting relagated and saved my job, finished 13th but won carling cup and he finished top goal scorer with 27, had to sell him to united for 22million FM09. 1st: My number 1 has to be Rolando Bianchi on FM08, won me the league by scoring 5 hattricks in the last 5 games of the season, won me the FA cup finished top goalscorer with 46 goals, we scored alot but had a leaky defence.

Had a Northern Irish regen in FM2008. Bought him from Chelsea for 4m for Forest around 2018, and took him with me to Liverpool for 12m around 2020. First season was a dissapointment, scored something like 5 in 25, then the next 5 seasons he broke 50 in all competitions, which is insane for Premiership/Champions league football. Name was Kyle Mouncey iirc. His stats were insane, something like 20fin, 20composure, 20off-the-ball, 20pace, 20str, 20accell, 20heading, 20technique, etc etc.

Also the best regen I've ever had in the game. Real madrid broke the billion pound value barrier in that game, and tried to take him off me for 92m (The highest i've ever seen in FM though ive seen 100m+ screenshots) but since I had just won 3straight champs leagues with an all UK + Ireland team, he didn't want to move

Best so far in FM10 is a tie, between having Antonio Cassano playing as a target man off Fernando Torres at Liverpool, or Jonjo Shelvey playing as a target man off a regen called Tony Stamp for QPR in 2024.

Austin Ahmed in FM09, a game i'm still playing. Only had him for 4 seasons but he's been amazing: top scorer in the Premiership, Champions League and European Golden Boot winner 4 seasons in a row.

    His league stats:

They weren't in my team but the best strike-force I've ever come up against in FM that wasn't already so at the start of the game was Gignac and Cacia at Sampdoria in FM08 I think. Unbelievable pairing! The pair had everything covered between them from what I remember - pace, strength, finishing, creativity, heading, strength, dribbling... Very hard to stop them from scoring.

A year or 4 ago in an older FM version I had found a player named Mendoza. I don't recall his full name, but he was a striker from Uruguay or a small South/Central American country. At the time I was playing in the Dutch 1st division with Haarlem and struggling for a playoff spot for promotion. When Mendoza came his speed, composure and finishing completely destroyed every defense I faced.

In fact, the next season (after promotion) he kept me in the eredivisie scoring nearly 30 goals while playing at my lowly side. The next season he repeated with 35 goals and I started building my team around providing him balls on the counter finishing in a spot that gave me UEFA cup games. The next season he ranked up 45 goals in the eredivisie, and won me the UEFA... with Haarlem.

I can honestly say the rest of my team was decent, but without him I should have been happy to get a safe 10-15 spot in the league with these players. Let alone win the league and the UEFA cup.

The thing that made him the most amazing is that he showed no inclination at all to move to a better team while there was plenty of interest. I kept turning down the most amazing offers (my finances were decent enough to not need the income) and he kept wanting to renew his contract.

    I love him still

some fantastic stories on this thread.

I remember another player i have fond memories of - though he was just another collection of data on a computer game - Eman Mobali at Crewe in the game above. He started life as a striker I think but I made him an attacking midfielder and he gradually improved, helping fire crewe to the championship title and - aged 32ish - as captain helped me win the premiership title 10 years after he arrived.

Another I remember from the ancient championship manager series was a fictitious player i found in the zambian league who'd scored 40 goals a season for several years. His stats were amazing and with that strike record, I signed him and he helped fire barnet to the league title and european cup, demolishing all and sundry!

I've just found a cheap brazilian striker aged 20 in 2014, picked him up for 170 k. he looks promising and he's only been around for one season so he has room for improvement.

Almeida/Hoarau are quite a pairing on FM09 - Almeida is just a great target man and Horau is the complete striker, just lacking a yard of pace but possessing everything else. With a lightning fast inside left from argentina who gets the most assists in the prem consistently and scores 10 or so himself, i'm hoping for a league title this season...

Nepentheze's story is the best so far tho!

Imagine that! So many goals and still banging them in at his age!

Have you got a screenshot from the champions' league victory?

    Is this fm2010?

Are there many decent regens on the game by that stage or is the quality quite poor generally?

My first ever long term game was as Valencia on FM08. After about seven years villa was a bit past it, and I was playing oscar trejo and balotelli up front. Following a rash of injuries I was forced to go with a young brazilian regen called Sergio. He ended up scoring 52 in la liga. Still one of my favorite memories.

    Carlton Cole lol FM06.

Not only did he score a bucket load of goals for me but I also got him in an amazing deal.

The season before Defoe was on fire for me, or so I thought. He scored about 30 goals for me. Chelsea offered me close to £40mil for him but as it was only a few days away from the end of the transfer window so I asked them to throw in Carlton Cole aswell. They accept and this is the season that followed.

    Kerrison [Age 35] (FM09)

    Manager : Santy001
    Club : Stoke
    League : English Premiership
    Nation : Brazil (103 Caps, 219 Goals)
    Total Goals : 1,946

The best striker I've ever had on any football management game, and my only claim to being remotely close to Nepenthez's Smylie - would have loved to have had a player like Keirrison in Nep's tactic at Knockbreda though... on paper he would have blown Smylie out of the water lol.

Why is everyone dissing neb? the OP asked for your best striker and all he has done is provide it!

I had a great striker in FM08 called Mariano Fassi. He was the ultimate target man. The only problem was that he was always my second favourite - as England manager I was in charge of an unbelievable striker called Mark Pollard. He had a choice between signing for my Real Madrid team (who were winning everything) and Barcelona. He signed for Barcelona. Several times per year for the following 10ish seasons I would bid crazy amounts to try and sign him and offer him wages of £200k+ but he always stayed loyal to Barcelona.

I got the chance to sign him when Barcelona relased him in his mid-thirties but he wasnt the same player so I didnt go through with it

Most legendary for me was an Albanian regen for my Braga side in FM 05 named Edmond Haxhia. I originally had him at River Plate a few clubs previously, and after a good start with Braga I signed him at the end of my 1st transfer window( yay for 'unprotected' contracts) in January. Obviously that long ago I haven't got much stats (though he had 20 for finishing, dribbling and first touch as his impressive stats, presumably most of them were nowhere near as good). no trophies in our 3 1/2 years together, though narrowly ****ed out on the title one season. But consistent european places from a team expected to 1st avoid relegation (which is where I took over) them mid-table. In those days that counted as a consistently successful stint for me. Sadly I didn't keep an eye on either his or my ass man's (as he was set to renew them) contracts so lost him to schalke on a free (as well as losing half my team as I holidayed through the close-season without realizing the contract situation) and my own time at braga ended soon after.

Best strike force has to be the 'golden squad' paring. The soon to be legendary side was already well into the 6 titles in a row when I found a 20yr old brazilian named Abranches at PSV. Most of his technical stats (at least attacking-relevant ones) were within the top few numbers and he was just one of those players who you just have to have a glance at to think 'I must have him'. I thought that was the best I could get but onle a couple of years later I saw Arsenal made a massive transfer for a similarly-aged Greek named Koutromanos. He was clearly superior to anyone my great side had (Abranches included) and again I knew I had to get him once I could a year later. His stats were even better, with more 20's. As I'm very much a 22-man squad manager they weren't a definitive strike force but they were together far longer then all the others and together were my 2 statistically best forwards.

The Brazilian I just picked up for £170 k (thanks to a min fee release clause) is very, very good - if not great - and is a wonderkid! He didn't show up as a wonderkid when i scouted him playing in brazil. He's a regen who appeared age 20 playing for a second division brazilian side.
Pace 17, acceleration 17, jumping 17, heading 15, height 192 cm, dribbling 15, determination 20, excellent aggression, bravery, anticipation. He should make a superb olde world centre forward in years' time. As he's only been on the game for a year and has a driven personality/20 determination, I'm hoping he'll develop still further.

My biggest dilemma is that I only bought him to loan out while I stuck with hoarau and almeida with zigoni - my 11 mil signing from atalanta - as the one i'd bring in this season.

Now I don't know what's best to do with the wonderkid - send him out loan to a championship side and let him tear the league to shreds or keep him at newcastle with the better coaching and play him periodically in the first team.

Incidentally, I am seeing certain players' stats develop from ages 22-25, which is reassuring - i had noted many players didn't seem to be developing much upto age 21. Maybe the game will have longevity, after all.

I have to say before 09 I never really played a game long enough to unearth a super regen, so my best is on FM10, Dario Garay. Cost me £34m but has an extremely high CA & PA, blasted 7 past Spurs in one game (In the Villa Thread in GPTG or whatever its called...lol).
Couple of his mental stats could be better but he gets loads of chances and almost single handedly kept me in the CL after the group stages (Which I went on to win in only my 3rd season).

Attributes you can't see because of my skin are Technique:15 & Work Rate:16

But the best "Real" Striker I can think of was on 09, Keirrison - always tried to buy him at the start of every save, was fairly cheap and could play at the top level pretty much straight away.

I play 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1 nowadays, so my current strikeforce is usually composed of these 3.

    Stephen Watson
A phenomenon, really. I call him "Awesome". His pace and dribbling means he causes all sorts of problems up front and is a lethal finisher. He's almost impossible to mark and his pace means once you're beaten, he'll more than likely score. He can also play in the hole although I have a slightly more lethal player (see below) for that role. He can also play on the wing or as a wide central midfielder thanks to his positioning, work rate and tackling.

    Marko Petrovic
I initially signed him as a backup striker but he turned out to be ridiculously good. I signed him because he was a classy sort of striker who was capable of taking free-kicks - something I sorely lacked at the time. He turned out to be the classiest striker in the world. I usually play him in the hole as he's slightly slower than Watson and the striker below, his superior teamwork being key. He basically takes pot shots from anywhere and always hits the target or the bar - or scores. Probably his only weakness is the fact he isn't the fittest striker around and is irritatingly injury-prone.

    Gerard Strachan
A youngster brought into my academy at a young age, he basically turned out to be an excellent roaming winger. While he can't do anything Watson or Petrovic can't do themselves, he's still developing (!) and is a quicker and more tricky version of Watson, with a superior work rate meaning he will hassle more. He's also slightly better on the wing. He's off to a hilariously good start of this season after I've shifted him to the centre from the wing.

    Wojciech Dzierzega in FM07.

In real life he was a youth player for some amateur Polish team, but he is one of those players who get assigned random attributes in the game. I signed him for my Fakel Voronezh team and, after leading us to CL glory, he was crowned 2015 World Player of the Year.

In 2027 my board named the new 50,000 capacity stadium Dzierzega Park in his honour.

Pato alone scored 43 goals in his first season, with 28 from Klaas Jan Huntelaar, making 71 in all competitions on FM10 season 2009/10, i.e. first season. Not Nep scoring prowess but a harder league. Yet I still dropped Huntelaar in favour of Edin Dzeko second season.

Result? 59 goals total. But Pato was injured for two months. Still, maybe I shouldn't have dropped Huntelaar...

I have 2. the first was on fm2008 and he was called James Patterson. I had him for Burnley when we were kings of England and Europe and I just threw him in the team when he was 16. He scored an amazing amount of goals and seemed to beat his previous total every season.
The second was on fm2009 and was aregen called Gorka Usandizaga (Whom I nicknames Dizzi because of the Diz part of his name and the fact it was hard to say Usandizaga) same thing as James Patterson really because I bought him as a 15 year old for big money and threw him in the team more or less straight away and he scored a ridiculous amount of goals. He was the Pele of his time and I was a bit gutted that i got taken over by a new chairman who immediately plunged the club into about £1.5billon of debt even though before he came we had close to £1 billion in the bank.

Can't remember his name, but mine was back in the day of true regens.

Well, three of them actually. Reincarnations of Jean-Pierre Papin, Marco van Basten, and Jurgen Klinsmann. Superb, dominated Europe for many a season.

In the same team I also had the regens of Lothar Matthaus and Paul Le Guen.

Sure there would've been more, but this must be going back to CM95 or something.

    Untouchable we were.

Well on FM08 I had loads of amazing strikers, heres some of them:

    Bojan

As you can see in that first season he was amazing, and as you can also see for the rest of the seaons he's been exceptional, He's now scored the most goals for tottenham and is 20 matches from playing for them the most. My favourite FM player of all time and have bought him on every game because of this.

    Tomas Hernandez

A regen, with amazing attributes all 20's in the best places its a shame i stopped playing that save file otherwise he could of gone on to smash Bojan's record.

    Andre Pierre Gignac

Another favourite of mine, he was always a super sub for me so one season i tried to play him from the start, as you can see he was immense. I try to buy him on every save file, one of my favourites.

And this guy deserves a mention, FM09, one of the best strikers i've ever had:

    Thorbjorn Norr

Fantastic. Just scored so much! lots of them amazing long range shots, best regen i've ever had.

Hope you enjoyed looking at them, brought back some memories for me lol

Have you got a screenshot from the champions' league victory?

    Is this fm2010?

Are there many decent regens on the game by that stage or is the quality quite poor generally?
Its FM08. The quality is ok. They're nothing like the players of Gerrard / Fabregas quality, but they have attributes in all the key areas. I have a screenie for the CL Victory. I'll put them up in a second.

Why am I attention seeking? I'm just answering the OP. Its not my fault you can't do something like this.

The best striker I've ever had on any football management game, and my only claim to being remotely close to Nepenthez's Smylie - would have loved to have had a player like Keirrison in Nep's tactic at Knockbreda though... on paper he would have blown Smylie out of the water lol.
Yeah, Kerrison is the man - Definitely would have gone on to 3,500 - 4,000 goals in my Knockbreda save. What you've done with him anyway, is nothing short of amazing.

On 97/98 I bought Fabio Vignaroli for MAn Utd for £1m off Como, was a brilliant striker (20 finishing) but with a bad rep, only played once for Italy U-21s despite being a 30 goal a season man for the best team in the world for 10 years. The best bit was that because of his rep nobody was ever even close to being interested in him, and his wages never went over £2k a week.

This guy, who basically just beat the crap out of the Premier League every year I had him

    along with signing this guy:

right after I saw his 40 goals on the year and the fact that he single-handedly got Ipswich into the Europa League.

EDIT: neither of those are them at their prime, either. There are no words to describe how amazingly those two worked together.

    Youth Player Project.

They all have real names, I just give them nicks, to distinguish them easier.

Keirrson in FM 09 signed him for QPR, outstanding goal scoring record (scored more than he played every season)

In CM 02/03 (On the Xbox) Cherno Samba, he just became outstandingly good and was probs the best player in the game. I wonder where he is now

On cm 99/00 (i think) Tonton Zola Moukoko was immense and would score tons from the outset. I used to get him for my Rangers saves and he would just destroy everyone in sight.

Also Jonas Lunden and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were pretty good also.

In FM07, at Rosenborg between the years of 2024 and 2026, I had a Strike-Force consisting of an Icelandic striker, a Norwegian striker, and a South-Korean AM C (all regens).

In 2025, their scoring stats were:

Icelandic ST - 47 goals in 30 appearances
Norwegian ST - 32 goals in 34 appearances
    South-Korean AM C - 19 goals in 32 appearances, as well as 27 assists.

Of course, the two wingers were also partially responsible for the prolific scores. I won the Norwegian league in 2025 with no losses and only three draws, and beat Arsenal (in my 1000th game) in the Champion's League. Epic season.

I won the champions league two years in a row (24 and 25).

The Icelandic guy was sold in 2026 for 46 million quid (nice bit of business, since I bought him for 12)
The Norwegian was sold in the same year for 38 million.
And the Korean AM C stayed on, eventually retiring at 37 after 18 years (and 2 Champion's League titles) at the club, and an overall rating of 7.50. Even in his last season, he played 23, scored 4, and contributed 12 assists.

Nepenthez - 3 european cups! that's pretty good for a lowly club!

It's a shame the regens aren't of the same quality as the players originally in the game because that should be relatively easy to accomplish and would give the game long-term playability.

Abadoulaye Die and Cosmin Oprea were my best ever striker partnership.

I signed them both as 15 year-olds for a total of £500,000 for my Fakel Voronezh team. Die promptly scored over 150 goals in one season for my youth team and Oprea wasn't far behind. They both progressed to the first team not long after and won World Player of the Year in consecutive seasons.

On CM01/02 with Man U (I was only 12 back then so don't judge) I had Van Nisteroy, Elber, Raul up from with the legendary Juiluis Agahawa just behind. We would score like 4 goals every game.

I've always had other goals. First, to win the Champs League, which I've done. Now, I want to win back to back Champions League titles. I also want to become the manager of N. Ireland too, but the current guy has been there for about 30 years

Yeah, its a nice achievment - The regens aren't really a problem in my eyes, because the playing field is still pretty even. The best players in the world are still very easily distinguishable from the good players.

my best ever strike froce was on fm09 for peterborough, i had davide petrucci playing a free role in a forward position with john fleck next to him they would get 50 goals a season at least between them in all comps , mind you the midfield help'd as-well delph right, mohammed sissoko and fernando gago centre and ander left, each midfield would get 10-15 assists a season and about 30 goals a season between the four of them

My Best strike force was on FM07 with Lukas Podolski and Daniel Sturridge at Barcelona. They scored about 50 goals each in 3 consecutive seasons. My greatest ever striker was on FM08, a South African regen called Shaun Skhosana. He scored about 190 league goals in 8 seasons and I signed him on a free.

has to be players from the days of CM, 99/00 I had Andri Sigporsson for first Valladoid and then Real Madrid.
Also in CM97/98 had a regen for Barcelona called Alex Mbeah, was Liberian so might have been George Weah. Think I got him from that fountain of talent that was Minor Club FC for a couple of grand, best season he scored 57 goals in 57 games

I'm currently loving the partnership between Willy Topp and Steven Fletcher in FM 2010. Currently in Championship, Topp has scored 32 in 34 apps and Fletcher has scored 19 and 18 assists in 33 apps in a support role.
Also in FM 2010 the partnership between Pato and Paloschi. Paloschi banged loads for fun, and Pato supporting him with assists.
In FM 2007 i had Alan Smith at A.C Milan. My chairman bought him, and i thought it was a bad idea, but for 3 seasons scored 30+ per season.
In FM 2006 i remember having Darren Bent for my Charlton side. Single-handedly managed to promote my team from League One to Premier in 2 seasons.

Simply the god of soccer, twice better than pele. Pretty average stats, but with man mark for the opposite gollie he scored something like 80/90 goals per season.

I think it was in CM 03/04 or 02/03

One of the most memorable strikeforces I had was with Palermo on FM08 - I had Amauri (41 goals in all competitions) and Vincenzo Iaquinta (19) as my first choice strikers, with a trio of attacking midfielders supporting them in the shape of Wesley Sneijder (7 goals/5 assists in half a season), Matías Fernández (17 goals/17 assists in full season) and Andrés D'Alessandro (10 goals/31 assists in full season). Edison Cavani got 13 goals from the bench as well. This strikeforce helped us win Serie A with a goals for column that read 105, and a goal difference of +65! Even one of my centre-backs (Guglielmo Stendardo) scored 12 goals that season thanks to the corner tactic/bug/cheat/whatever-you-want-to-call-it that was present in that game.

That save was great, because I got of my first choice players on the cheap from Roma, because they kept buying quality players (such as Fernández and Sneijder) and hardly played them!

My most memorable strikeforce was certainly my Torino strikeforce from FM05. I essentially played a 4-2-4, with Cassano wide left, Miccoli wide right, and Gilardino and ... oh bollocks, I've forgotten (not so "memorable" after all!), but somebody else in the centre. It was an absolutely unstoppable quartet.

    Best ever Striker, CM 01/02:

    - Guiseppe Manco - Still hold my record for most goals in a season, he got 92 in one season with his lowest return in 8 seasons being 41. He was on the game at the start but by chance he had almost perfect stats across the board and destroyed the opposition. I noticed him when he scored 50 in 45 for Celtic one season, I promtly paid £20m for him.

Best ever Strike Partnership, CM 01/02:

    - Shevchenko & Van Nistolrooy (Man Utd) - Got me 115 odd goals one season and would rarely fail to get me less than 40 each a season. Only Manco (above) eventually knocked Shev out of the team.

    Best ever Striker on FM2010:

    - Oscar Carrasco - He is a regen and I play him as a lone striker on my Leeds save. He scores a goal a gamre and is a great striker. He is Club Captin and Peru Captin at the age of 21.

Here is a screenshot of him: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=mcpwec&s=6

This is about 1 and half years ago. His Off the Ball is now 16 and all his other stats have increased by an average of about 2. An absolute beast.

You could have an all Greek side and become the best team on the game. You also had Dinos Charesteas (Sp?, I think he started at Aris?) who was nealy as good as Papadopolus and there was a Right Back as well, can't remember his name (It begins with F). Then you had Kostos Mendrinos (sp?) a Right Midfielder from Olymipikos and the Keeper Dinos Choistis (sp?) from AEK who was also awesome. You could also pick up Dellas for about £2.5m from Roma and he was amazing (although alot older) as well. Kaftes the CM wasn't bad either.

    I'll shut up now.

Wow. There have been so many through the years. My absolute fav would have to be the legendary To Madeira

Runners-up - Andri Sigporsson, Orry Oskarsson, Skalidis.

If we're talking regen's I would have to say a striker I had at Fiorentina in 2023 called Bernd Muller. He was an absolute beast and would always score.

My best striker was back on CM03/04 when during my 34 season game at Man Utd I was looking for a new striker following a £50M flop (scored a hat trick on his debut against chelsea, but did not score again until christmas!).

I wanted to go English as I had decided to try and make my squad the actual england squad. None of the current England strikers interested me but then I cast my eye to the Championship.

I forget the regens name now, Scott something. He played for Exeter City. Fantastic physical stats and generally looked awesome at the age of 24. As I had been winning everything with United, this was aropund 25 seasons in, and I had a tiny transfer budget of £1.3billion.

    Yes I said billion.

I wanted this striker. Badly. Valued at £13M if memory serves

    £20M - rejected
    £30M - rejected
£50M - Rejected. Now passing the flop's price. I still want this player

Eventually they accepot a £137M offer. OUCH! But I wanted him bad enough that I stuck to my guns and signed him.

And he was worth every penny. 42 goals on his debut season. Single handedly giving me back the Premiership following me losing it for the first time in the save game history... to Cardiff City!

He went on to just dominate my squad right until the ripe old age of 33 before I moved onto FM. Not long after playing FM I discovered Genie Scout. Intrigued I looked up my player and his PA was only 176.

Just goes to show that PA is not everything, merely just the distribution of the stats

In the same save early on, I had an amazing left winger regen come from my own squad who following an injury crisis I was forced to hand a debut at age 16. He knocked in two, very nearly getting a hat trick. Stat's did not look too impressive at the time but as I continued to play him, they sky rocketted and went on to play for me right until he retired, rarely succombing to injury.

I still think back to my little regen and smile.

Such a sad arse that I am!

Quick update on Austin Ahmed. Just finished the 2026/27 season and he reached the landmark of 40 premier leauge goals. At 29 is still going strong. He's around 40 goals away from becoming Liverpools all time league goal scorer, a record still held by Roger Hunt at 245 and was one away from Hunt's record of 41 league goals in a season for Liverpool, but of course Hunt set his records in an era where more league games were played but Ahmed has still managed to hit over 30 league goals for 6 years in a row since i signed him:

His overall record at Liverpool is 342 goals in 341 games:

Either on CM3 where I had James Flood and Robbie Keane who both got over 1000 goals each in career for my chelsea team
    Or
FM09 Frazier Campbell and Keirrison for Celtic. Were two top scorers in Europe for whole career

I use a 442, but with AMR and AML instead of MR and ML,

It is a tweaked version of my Typhon Tactic posted in the Tactics and Training Forum,

It is set up to ensure that Higgins gets the Majority of the chances for the team,

And he is very good at taking them

He wont get near Neps Smylie but he is still pretty sensational for the Premiership
