Default FM10 CSE Hall of Fame

Seeing as Scab has already completed dafuge's challenge it's time to get this kicked off for FM10. I may have missed other completions of dafuge's or other challenges so let me know if I did.

The idea is simply to have a single thread where people can see who's completed what along with a little opportunity to share your success with the rest of CSE. The FM09 thread is here and covered the 5 main small to big challenges. I see we have a slightly expanded selection this year so I've added a couple more.

From a scan of the current threads the small to big challenges for the Hall of Fame are:

    dafuge's FM10 challenge
FM10 Small Club to Big Club Big Euro Nation Challenge
    Gundo's FM10 European Adventure Challenge™
Razer82's FM10 Small Club to Big Club Americas Challenge
FM10: English small club to big club challenge: extended edition
rancer890's FM10 Small Club to Big Club Asian Challenge
    San Marino Double Challenge FM2010

I know, I was shocked to see one completed already. I'm mid-way through 2013 on my save and I don't even bother watching the games.

I was thinking the same thing! I'm only in my 4th season, and there I was thinking I was doing quite well getting through the seasons.

Anyway, I'm determinded to get on the list this year. Didn't even finish my own challenge last year.

    Apparently not!
I thought i was going OK in 2014 in Gundo's challenge, but guess i need to put a bit more effort in, it appears 4 seasons in a challenge is no longer acceptable

Well that was quick. 2 completed the challenges already.

This year is the year where I should complete my own challenge, at least the 'domestic' part. I qualified out of the group stages of the ACL for the first time ever so it's encouraging.

I'm only in the 2015-2016 season in mine. I might finish another season this weekend, if not then mid next week.

And why not also add the Andorra double challenge to the list in the OP?

Good luck with the challenge, it's an amazing achievement when anyone completes it because the International part is very tough.

Added the Andorra challenge, didn't spot it when I was starting the thread.

Thanks Pluck, I'll need it. The good news is that my Persma team is basically the Indonesian national team, and if we can beat Chelsea, Sevilla, Gremio, and Sao Paulo, I think I can lead the national team to greatness.

Just need the current national team to retire...or get sacked. Whatever comes first.

    Well done

So does that count as a completion of your challenge? Is the International piece an additional extra or required to complete it? Your challenge and your rules so up to you if you think it should be added to the list yet

Add it to the list. There's a domestic challenge and a domestic + international challenge. I just completed the domestic challenge. Although I still have to finish the international aspect, I did already finish the domestic part. So technically I finished the domestic challenge although I have full intention to complete both parts of the challenge.

Not to sound like the whining fool here, but I just went through all the updates from StephanieMcMahon'sSecretLover and there is simply no way on earth this was done without the use of several cheats. I'm not exactly sure what was done but to consistently achieve such insane goal difference after every promotion not just winning but blowing away the opposition as well as consistent cup shocks starting all the way back in the first season is simply not possible. You just have to compare to the sort of results everyone else gets to see theres something very dodgy going on here, you can let some lucky results slide even lucky unexpected promotion but this is ridiculous.

7 Seasons? WTH!? Thats the minimum required, they have won promotion every season as winners, then won the Prem league at first attempt and then won the Champs League at first attempt while completing the double...No way!

He also got to the final of the FA Cup whilst in League 2. I'm not sure if he cheated, I mean he posted screenies to everything etc. Maybe it's just an incredible tactic.

It is very unusual alright but whatever my own opinion, unless someone calls foul in the challenge thread I'll add it here.

Seeing that Gareth has already completed 3 challenges this year I thought I would ask, What's the most Small Club challenges anyone has ever completed on one version of FM? Has anyone done them all?

I did 4 last year, no idea on previous versions as I think the gathering of winners in a single thread for convenience only started with FM09.

    Thanks

I agree SMSL's dafuge completion was incredible, but I think if he was going to cheat then he'd be a little more subtle about it. In a way, the fact that it is so incredible makes it sound more credible to me.

Still pondering which one to have a go at next, my Merthyr save still has life in it for me at the moment though, and a couple of false starts at Gundo's have made me a little more appreciative of the fun I'm having on that save.

Personally i think this is the most blatant cheating i've ever seen, but like most cheating unless they leave evidence in the screens posted or say so in their posts it can't be conclusively proved.

You just have to compare to the sort of results everyone else gets to see theres something very dodgy going on here, you can let some lucky results slide even lucky unexpected promotion but this is ridiculous.
I agree, the success is just too much, pulling of those kinds of cup upsets is possible not season after season and like you said he dominated every season whereas even the best FM players would struggle along the way.

It is indeed (in my 6th season of it at the moment) but it does seem to allow you to build a bit of a snowball effect when you start so low down the leagues.
A few league wins and maybe a cup and even with a starting rep of Sunday League Footballer your rep will increase to regional or even national. So by the time you reach the BSS/BSN your manager rep is probably similar to starting a game with your rep set to Professional Footballer allowing you to attract better players than can usually be done in the dafuge challenge.
And thats just the effect on your manager rep, the club rep also gets a 'head start' as my teams was already National by the time we hit the BSN.

None of that is to in any way diminish the achievement of completing it, it takes a lot of patience to get to the point of having your own rep and the clubs increase that much, just some of my rambling thoughts on a game started so low down the pyramid.
The game may just need some tweaking in terms of the rep increase given for winning the very low leagues and regional cups.

Best of luck if you do try another. I always liked the South American one although that thread sadly seems to have died or if you fancy a true marathon the Extended English challenge will probably keep you going until FM11
