[FM10] Football Manager Makes Me Curze

Nobby_McDonald

Recommended Posts

Thanks to Uncle Ron's fine work, levels 7 & 8 now seem to have (close to) realistic regionalisation regarding the teams, and also promotion of teams up to level 8 (side note, Newcastle Town appeared after just one season. :))

So now, it's time for my FM2010 career, hopefully it will be as epic as my Billericay saves on previous versions and who knows... maybe I'll end up there again..?

Version: Football Manager 2010 with patch 1

Extras: Uncle Ron's England levels 7 & 8 file

Leagues Loaded: 26 leagues in 9 nations

England to level 8

Scotland to Third Division

Wales Premier League only

Northern Ireland to Second Division

Ireland to First Division

France to Ligue 2

Germany to Second Division

Italy to Serie B

Spain to Liga adelante

Starting season: 2011/2 (holiday for first two seasons)

I've holidayed two seasons and the regional allocation of teams in levels 6 to 8 are much better thanks to Uncle Ron's work, and a spread of teams get promoted to level 8 each season rather than just Northern ones.

I also don't have my cock up of goal difference doesn't count. :D

After two seasons of holidaying, my intention was to take over a team in the lowest level in one of the British leagues, preferably in England. When the season update ran for the third season, it left me a choice of 1 team.

By the way, the regional leagues work fine in 2020 as that is as far as I have tested the file

That sounds great Aaron. :)

I've had a good long session today, my second at my starting club and I've reached mid January. Should have completed the first season by the end of the week, though a certain PS3 shooting game that is coming out tomorrow might have something to say about that...

In the mean time, here is something for Sam... ;)

It hasn't worked that well if AFC Hornchurch win the Northern Premier League Northern division.

Curzon Ashton

Curzon Ashton play at The Tameside Stadium, Ashton-under-Lyne which has a capacity of 4000 with 500 seats. Being a new stadium, built in 2004, it has top corporate facilities with adequate training facilities and basic youth facilities.

The club has kit sponsors on a 4 year deal until 2015 who pay the club £1400 per year.

Their rivals are Ashton United, FC United of Manchester and Mossley.

The club was formed in 1963 but has no history of any real note. Their highest finish in the league came in 1995/6 when they finished 4th in the Northern Premier League First Division, before the restructuring of the non league pyramid and 4th again in the new North Division in 2007/8. The club became more well known in the 2008/9 season where they reached the FA Cup First Round for the first ever time and defeated Exeter City of League Two before being knocked out at Kidderminster Harriers.

The home kit is all blue while the away kit is all red.

The board have given me a 2 year contract on £275 per week.

We make a flying start, winning our opening four games before the wheels come off, and once we fix them back on, we've put them on backwards as we are as consistant as gravity on the moon. We settle into mid table mediocrity.

2012/3 - Curzon Ashton (Northern Premier League First Division North)

Board: Safe mid table

Media: 14th

Bookies: 14-1

Season tickets: 98 (up 2)

I sign a two year contract extension on the same money.

Again we make a good start, despite in September. Then a long unbeaten run takes us to the top. Things fall apart in Spring where suddenly my players made Castel di Sangro look like they scored a lot of goals during the 'Secondo Miracolo'. We lose out on everything on the final day of the season. A frustrating end to a good season.

2013/4 - Curzon Ashton (Northern Premier League First Division North)

Board: Respectable position

Media: 6th

Bookies: 3-1

Season tickets: 99 (up 1)

A very good start sees us unbeaten in our first 8 games. Our ultra solid defence cements our position at the top end of the table, indeed it's shortly into the second half of the season before our conceded column reaches double figures. Our strong form continues despite only having 16 fit players for a time, and we win the league with one game to spare.
