If you could have in fm what would it be????????
If you could have in fm what would it be????????
A league editor so you can edit down to the Eastern Counties League.![]()
Naked cheerleaders in a 3D HD match engine....
I doubt I'll be the first to say it, but Dynamic League Reputation.
Flexible league, team and player reputation.
Player interviews would be nice![]()
everything to be in virtual reality so you actually interact with the players yourself by talking or slamming your notebook down
thats about 20 years off by my calculations
come on 2029!!!! fm29![]()
dynamic league reputation..!!!
Have a manager pic face-gen/gameface(fifa) style where it ages and changes facial expressions dependant on how things are going lol - so it looks like a virtual you
Success.
(Apparently I need another few words to post this)
An add-on "Football Chairman" game, to be honest - so you can run the club.
Note the word "add-on" before I get the "It's Football Manager you idiot" replies - I know that, and have made the same argument myself - doesn't mean I wouldn't like to be able to play it under the right circumstances with a similar engine.
Team and player reps are already flexible. League reputation doesn't need to be tbh. All it does is stop a team becoming bigger than they could be IRL.
I don't think you've actually thought about it tbh. There would be next to nothing to do that would be worthy of being in a game. Hiring and firing managers would be good the first time, rubbish from then on. Setting budgets would be rubbish, as you'd just give the most you could due to not having real life monetary interests.
The league editor. That's done it really. Everything I ever wanted![]()
For me the 1 thing that would be a dream in this game would be a 3D engine similar to that of EA Sports Fifa 10. FM has it all but a top nothc 3D engine would put it into legendary status in the video game world.
An AI with that actually has the ability to manage the players it has in it's squad properly. In other words, the AI manager actually starts bringing it's better youngsters through to the first team and starts phasing out it's older players, or to buy players they actually need, or actually buy players in the first place. There are far too few AI transfers in the game, and far too many seem to be the transfers of goalies that just aren't needed.
I'm throwing my hat into the dynamic league rep ring though having a set range would seem to be the best thing, and would avoid the (very unlikely anyway) extreme situations used to argue against it.
throwing my disc at the wall after losing 4-3 and it still working
no seriously...having an option where you could have a proper 1-1 with an unhappy player instead of the usual media route or being able to have a 'conference' so to speak with your team if they getting a series of results or playing porly, dont know how hard that would be to implement but my guess is it would probably take alot to put it in the game
i think dynamic league reputation , as al ot of people of mentioned here is something that should be thought about, think about, the new teams in the champions league this season that no one had ever heard of, their leagues rep has most likely gone up from having teams in the champ league, and look at the championship as-well, i know its already very well thought of but having teams like newcastle and middlesbrough in their would shawly put its rep up even by just a little bit
A modern 4-5-1/4-3-3 tactic ala Murhino's Chelsea and Man utd style
with the new tactics editor my wish may of already been granted
I do have FIFA and I play it, but the manager mode is an absolute farce on that game. As much as I love the gameplay and graphics I usuaully end spending an hour so on it and then lose interest and fire up FM. I am not saying I want FM to be like FIFA, I just wish it could create some of the atmosphere it has.
remain the same, classic manager simulation gamei hope they will not go too far with the 3d graphic, and keep the option to view matches 2d and only commentary
there are some features that might be improved or added, but the main thing is the fact that fm is the most realistic football manager on the market, so keep up the good work lads
Interactive training, something like what the new tatics designer appears to be.
The option to not be myself in the game as its unrealstic that some random bloke gets the man utd job. I have to make up stories in my head to justify why I've got the job. I would like the option to play the game as the current manager of a team.
Dynamic league reputation and faster increasing/decreasing club reputation.
And i'd like to be able to set up new teams within the club. Let's say if i have too many players i could start a 3rd team, so everyone gets match experience. Or just a team where I put all players in that i want to sell. Or a team that starts in another country like Ajax Cape Town.. just love the idea.
Game being canceled because of the weather while in the middle of the game.
Spend the hard money I earn managing and spend it on a big house and a supercar!
A fully functional, unbroken A League.
what do you guys mean by "dynamic league reputation"?
At the moment, league reputation stays the same however successful you are if managing in that league. This means it is very difficult to improve a lot.
However, if it were dynamic, it would increase as clubs did well, meaning smaller countries could start doing better.
For me it would have to be the perfect match engine(3d), that would be so good.
Although technically it wouldn't be a strictly Football Management game anymore what I would LOVE to see would be to live the life of a created player from youth level to play through a career until you choose to retire and then after you retire you become a manager. Much like many other managers and it would make previous experience really mean something.
How this would be implemented I would have no clue. I know its not going to happen but personally thats just something I would LOVE to see in a game. Basically FIFA Be A Pro cept longer and more involved then to FM in a seamless transition.
Dynamic league reputation for sure.
I would also like to have more personality as a manager, and perhaps some sort of back-story so I don't start the game as a clean slate. Perhaps a pre-game questionnaire type affair, where you are asked about formations, approach to finances, previous playing career, favourite players as well as clubs, personality type questions?
Even though this idea will get shot down by a lot of people, I'd love the idea of this.
Even if it was simple and fairly quick, I'd still be a fan. For example, you could create yourself as a youngster in the youth academy of your local team (or a free agent if you're >20), and then the game flies through season after season, with maybe 10 or so career defining decisions that you have to make each year (i.e. decide whether to accept/deny contract offers, take certain injuries cautiously or force yourself to play through it etc.). This way you could build up a personality behind your 'character' and change the course of your career and possibly some statistics.
This way when you eventually become a manager after you retire (chosen at any point in the game) you would already have a list of favored personnel, you would already have rivalries, and you'd already have a personality in the game. As for the actual playing, you could either watch every one of your games, or just run a holiday mode that 'jumps out' every time you need to make a decision.
It'd be kind of like Spore, except, good.![]()
Anything? Anything at all??? Wow... it would have to be the ability to stealth assassinate your chairman.
With the addition of the league editor, in terms of depth, I think FM is really getting there. Each edition will bring further 'polishing' but it's substantially almost all it could be IMO.
Therefore, all that remains to add to what is already there, is to continue improving the animations. It would be nice if they were as advanced as FIFA (even nicer if I had a super-computer to use them) without taking anything away from FM's greatest strengths. I trust, year on year, the animations will creep forward.
Lol i love this idea, from both of you, but maybe like you said you will get shot down haha, i think in a matter of time it will happen, now days games anything is possible, who would of thought games would be like this now, when they was playing billy the kid on the drive
id say give it another 5 more years it will be possible maybe not on fm but on fifa it will, but to be honest i prefer managing games by far, but your ideas from both of you are good!!!!
Be able to more easily build new stadiums or have huge expansions.
Dugout view in 3D. I'd like to watch matches like managers do in real life.
More fun............
the next thing i'd like to see added is the smaller USA clubs and leagues.
Some interesting and neat ideas there. Dugout view would be fantastic. Also viewing the substitutes close on and seeing them warm up could be neat as well. But what I really would like is something along the lines of LMA manager if anyone remembers. The only feature I liked of that game is the way you start building/re-building your stadium. It seemed so fun and for 1 thing, I would definitely have that.
I want the 3D match engine to be similar to Fifa's!
I'd like the "personal instruction overriding the tactic" thing that I've suggested for years and we have recently discussed in a topic. And a more realistic manager transfer market in which you get more offers and at a better time of the year, allowing for more flexibility in planning your next team. And there are different ways to leave your current club.
Oh, and I like the idea of playing as real managers. I, too, hate the fact that I can't take part in the narrative continuum of real football.
To feel in some way 'connected' to FM while playing.
Ya im lovin this idea,Lol i love this idea, from both of you , but maybe like you said you will get shot down haha, i think in a matter of time it will happen, now days games anything is possible, who would of thought games would be like this now, when they was playing billy the kid on the drive id say give it another 5 more years it will be possible maybe not on fm but on fifa it will, but to be honest i prefer managing games by far, but your ideas from both of you are good!!!!
Something like a cross between Pro-Evo's Become a Legend (I think thats the name) and FM would be amazing. Its a long way off but with the introduction last year of the 3-D match engine, i like to think we're a step closer.
More handbags and pushing and shoving which have long term effects on the relationship between players and tend to errupt in future meetings.
Also, more critical mistakes by referees that can be seen in action replays. That would add a lot more realism to the game.
Oh! ... and for suprise visitors at work (or home),a predefined wildkey (say F12) that, when pressed will immediately transfer your screen to a screen of your choice such as an intricate excel spreadsheet or a your regular email inbox or Java or C++ or whatever you should be doing instead of playing FM
A loan system that works when you are a big club- loads of potentially great youngsters and no-one EVER tries to loan them. Very weird.
Dynamic league reputation, obviously.
Short-term games are alright but long-term games not fun at all unless you play in England, Spain or Italy...
Getting a Knighthood for your dedication and development of football in England, or for just winning the world cup as an English/British manager. As I'm not sure if non-British citizens can be knighted? Anybody know?
I think having commentators for TV matches would be good.
when you go to the board of directors to ask for extra transfer funds, i would like to be able to tell them exactly how much i want. they then be more flexible with you.
example. i am currently with southampton. got promoted to the ccc but i had no transfer money available, yet i was tracking a wonderkid and his fee was a thousand quid. a lousy thousand. i am sure the board would be flexible if i could ask for a lousy thousand quid.
i ended up buying him for two thousand quid but over 6 months.
