How would you like to work in the computer video games industry? Night shift positions available now.

SEGA’s Development Services team is looking for bright and motivated people to join us as Functionality Testers (or Games Testers as they’re more commonly known).

Getting the chance to work on SEGA titles before they hit the shops, you’ll be responsible for testing our titles to ensure they play as the developers intended them to and that they’re free from any ‘bugs’.

These positions are an excellent opportunity for people wanting to start a career in an industry which is fast paced, dynamic and above all fun!

Based at our offices in Chiswick, positions are currently available on our night shift, which takes place Monday to Thursday between the hours of 10.30 pm and 7.30 am.

Oooh tempting, might be a good years experience...Might apply....go do the job for 3 years, go to SEGA again, then last year of uni, and come back with more qualifications and hopefully change department.

Go to this job then do a sandwich course in university...would you let them?

Any chance for non UK native applicants? I am from Italy and I would love to make such an experience, it would be awesome both for my career progression and my personal growth!

As long as you live in the UK and can get to London on a daily basis there shouldn't be a problem.

could you define "competitive rates of pay" ?

I know its a long shot to move to london from greece and abandon a "good" job while I have my own house (no mortgage) and my job is 5 minutes drive from home, but at least I am not married and neither I have children.

on the job description bonuses is the night shift which is extremely natural for me.

but then again I know you won't define "competitive rates of pay" as much as blizzard never revealed how much they pay their world of warcraft gamemasters in paris

    Hey there, Mark.

I am a former Beta tester for FML. Had to quit due to lack of time, for professional reasons, (Real world professional reasons, that is... ), to give the game the attention a Beta tester should give.

    But now I'm back. (Yey!)

So if you need my assistance spotting those nasty FML bugs, or anything else you think I could be of some use, just count me in.

    It gets boring around here...

Anyway, cheers, and good luck with the new FM2010. Cant wait to get my hands on it!

    Hey Marc,

I would love to do the job but its gonna cost me £100 a month getting to Chiswick from Grays After working out the amount I would earn roughly and taking off the transport costs theres not even enough left to cover my bills Any chance transport could be covered so I can get testing for ya?

I have been speaking to RT about the post before so if you need any information or anything you could speak with him or myself. Hes got my CV too, which he helped me with and now it looks awesome

    Regards
    Simon

Not in Socialist England; they'd probably end up giving you a pay raise and a special parking spot!

Can you programme an ME full of bugs?
Can you consistantly make a mess of updates?
    Can you annoy your customers?
Can you make knee jerk reactions to update the game as kneejerk reactions to dieing gameworlds and flagging subscription numbers?
Can you find some 15 year old boy to Moderate a gameworld?

Then come and work for SI and SEGA. Were things go bad

I'm sitting here in work (non skilled btw), Ive got my laptop set-up with a vga lead running to the security camera monitor. FML on the laptop, forums on the monitor and Travian running in the background.

I look up the application form and find the pay is £2/hr less than what I am getting payed already hmmm...
