    Default Smallest Nations Clubs Enter English football!

    What would happen if all the Tier 7 clubs were replaced with clubs from the Smallest Nations in the World?
    Would the Small Nations eventually dominate the World Scene if given top Youth and Training Facilitys?
    Could the Clubs eventually dominate English Football?

    ... Ever wondered about the above Questions? No!? Well of course you wouldn't .. who would .. Only me i guess!? ... anyway enough talking to myself and let me explain what i've done,

    ... All clubs in the Southern Premier, the Isthmian Premier and the Northern Premier Leagues have been replaced with Clubs from the Smallest Nations in the World.
    I decided what Nations to use clubs from by setting up a points system for the Nations using the following Tables; Smallest by Area, Smallest by Population, Lowest by Reputation, Lowest by FIFA Ranking, Lowest Point below Sea Level and Poorest Countries by GDP.
    All clubs were given Top Training and Youth Academy's and made sure they all had stadiums.

    Mozambique, - Costa do Sol (2,750).

    Some clubs had very low Reputations and would never get promoted without help so i decided to give all clubs +1,000 on there Reputation.

    How will Updates work?
    Obviously with all the clubs in the divisions below the Blue Square North + South i will Holiday for a year and see who comes up and report on clubs from there.

    Hopefully people will find this interesting and please feel free to support, hate or just feel nothing for the clubs that gain promotion into the English League.

    Good idea, but won't it take forever for all the teams to get promoted.. and all the way to epl? I fear '10 will be out by then :P

    Anyway, just one question: what does "Lowest Point below Sea Level" has to do with anything?

    Don't worry i'm not expecting to get every team promoted i just filled the feeder leagues so that only the Small Nations teams came up and i thought the randomness of who will gain promotion would add to the experiment. To be honest the lowest Point below Sea Level was used mainly because i needed 1 more table for sorting the Nations and ran out of ideas

    In theory B36 should be BSN and the rest BSS. Al-Ahly to storm through BSS unbeaten.
    Love to see Positive Vibes to get promoted.

    For any of the smallest nations clubs - I think you can still see the stats from the unplayable leagues

    Pretty disappointing so far from the Andorrans, Was expecting a fair bit more from football country with a wealth of potential. I mean being situated between Spain and France with Portugal not too far away must stand ofr something right. If I knew we were going to perform like this, I would have demanded the whole country be picked up and moved far, far away. To another crap football nation, like Modolva.

    But the faithful Andorran I am, I will stick with them until the very end.

    Looking great so far bret well done and keep it up.
    Can't wait to see what happens as the years go by it will be very interesting.
    I am still routing for Comoros and am glad to see they have great PA and due to there team being of a weak CA they should get quite a few games.

    Brettney's Predictions;
    Well i can see Al-Ahly getting a 3rd succesive promotion and winning the Blue Square with Al-Ittihad joining them after winning the playoffs. I think Coin Nord will win the BSN and VSADC will join them in the premier after winning the playoffs. In the BSS i think Dynamos FC will take home the Title and the playoffs will be won by FAR Rabat.

    Go Coin Nord, promotion to the BSP is a great achievement as they don't have the best team.
    Keep it coming bret, it's getting more and more interesting every year that passes.

    Club Focus Number 1: Al-Ahly;

    Al-Ahly is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo. Founded in April 1907. Al-Ahly, which means "national" in Arabic, is the most crowned club in Egypt, having won the Egyptian League thirty-four times and the Egyptian Cup thirty-five times. Al-Ahly was named in 2000 by the Confederation of African Football as the African Club of the Century.
    Al-Ahly has a fierce rivalry with local rivals El Zamalek which manifests itself in the Al-Ahly versus El-Zamalek Derby.

    History.

    Al-Ahly was formed in 1907 as a club where leaders of Cairo's students' unions could meet during the struggle against colonisation.
    Al-Ahly began to dominate the Egyptian game in the 1940s. In the 1980s the club became successful on a continental level, winning the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1982 and 1987. They triumphed again in the renamed competition in 2001, 2005, 2006 and 2008 under the coaching of the Portuguese Manuel Jose making them the most crowned team in Africa, with six Champions League titles, four Cup-Winners' Cups, four Super Cups and one Afro-Asian Club Championship.
    Al-Ahly was the first club to reach the FIFA Club World Cup two times following two consecutive appearances in 2005 and 2006 winning the Bronze Medal in the latter. After qualifing for 2008 Edition, Al-Ahly became the team with the most appearances in FIFA Club World Cup, having qualified for 3 times out of 5 competitions held.

    Modern Era Al-Ahly;
    Since joining the English League system Al-Ahly have won The Blue Square South, Blue Square Premier, Conference League Cup and FA Trophy (both twice). Their best 11 for the Last Season is:

    Another great pull from the youth system for Coin Nord but they really need some better quality players in.

    Wow, Al-Ahly have made some decent purchases, with Deco, Ben Foster and Lucas Neill (amongst others) making the move to the Egyptian club - very surprising.

    Great updates so far, keep them coming!

    That's some team Al Ahly have got for League 2. They should get to the premiership by finishing top every season.
    Will be interesting to see how quickly the nations progress and who progresses the quickest.

    Extremely impressed with Coin Nord, they did excellent to avoid relegation from BSP imo.
    Hopefully during this year the youth stepped up as the team in general is very poor quality.
    Great work Bret keep it coming really enjoying it, esspecially the unusually quick rise of 2 clubs and the players they have attracted

    you've done a great job so far brettney and i don't think you should cancel a date with your gf or anything for this, i am just impatient.
    I think this experiment is extremely interesting to follow, plus it has made me wan't to buy every Comoros player i can find.

    I have a feeling that Comoros are using alot of there youngsters as they don't seem to have bought any great players in.
    I only know this because i am following them closely. Alot of the BSS and BSN teams find there youngsters very useful from what i can see.

    Most are getting games, Bermuda Hogges in particular are only using Bermudan players so all Regens are getting alot of playing time.

    I'm enjoying this thread. Pity you included the odd powerhouse which have dominated. I'd have recommended you look into my home - Cambodia. Two of our teams are in the fM09 database with reputations of 1 !!!!!!

    Should be easy to recreate this with the FM10 editor - would be great fun.

    I've already planned a 10-tier British league; I might add a fun 11th tier along these lines.
