Answers please guys?
I had no problems whatsoever. The game automatically updates as soon as a patch is released etc. Would recommend, but can't say if it's the best because I have no basis for comparison.
I got it on steam and never had any probs.. steam rocks![]()
I got steam version to, you just download it and play, no install, no hassle, no manual activation.. steam <3
not the same..........id rather have the disc, manual etc thats just me i like to read the manual to fill in for when i cant play when im away.![]()
Cheers guys, and i have put my activation code in now on 2 computers, will it still work?
No problems here and it's installed on all 3 of my machines.
And finally; if i edit squads to update transfers, when patch 4.0 comes out will i have meed up the game?
Thanks a lot guys.
there wont be a patch 4
So does everyone just alter squads themselves?
Very simple answer. NO.
I hate Steam.
Boo hiss.
C.
I think it is. So user friendly and convenient! And the manual isn't really needed especially with the tutorial in the game.
Can the steam game be played if you aren't connected to the internet at that time?
Steam is easy to use and very useful , i am using it since 2005
how to get the manual with the steam version:
open steam -> right click FM 2009 ->view player manual ( Adobe reader is required )
instalation was made pointlessly complicated for 09 due to SI wanting to show power and profit with codes to cut out pirating etc not sure if it was the same on 08 or 07 but 06 was much clearer. From what i understand phoneline or internet is required for 09
Depends if you generally use steam or not.
If you do, then yes it is the easiest way.
If you don't, then there's no huge benefit to it, so just use the other installation, unless of course you can see yourself moving to steam anyway in the near future.
For netbooks though, Steam is a godsend. No more digging around for the portable dvd drive.
