Please Help!

I've bought this game but I can't get into it. It seems too hard and it takes to much careful tinkering. I've been able to get into WSM2008 pretty well and I've got a long-term game going that I'm really into, but on my laptop I just can't get into WSM2009. Does anyone have some advice for making this more fun and easier to get into for a long-term game?

It's hard to say at the moment. Why don't you tell us what you've tried so far, what teams you've been, etc?

Meantime, there is a challenges section you might want to look at, or even download a specialist database in the editors forum - there are 'classic' squads, old years, and I think there's one that starts in the future with nothing but newgens as players and managers.

To make it easier, you could try doing a forum search for the "corner bug" which gives you around 20 goals a season, sometimes more. Depending just HOW easy you want it there's a cheat programme called FMRTE which you can use to "motivate" your team. Since low morale seems to make a player perform way, way worse than he should that can be a good minor cheat, but you may also be tempted to give yourself $$billions and improve your players' attributes.

Franklin, you are not alone. I am pretty much in the same position, and have recently reinstalled the game after a few months without it, and I am even worse than before I removed it from my computer! I have been playing this game since the days of CM2, but they seem to get more compicated and more difficult with each release

backpackant, I have used FMRTE in the past for FM09, but I did not know about changing motivation :confused:

The problem is, even when I get "stuck in" my results are still *****. I try everything, but no matter what I do my defense is terrible, I can't score goals, and the results are genuinely terrible. Only semblence of success I've had was with Partizan and even then I blew a huge lead in the table to lose the title in the final week of the season. I don't know what to do? Do I have to have individual tactics for each player and each position? I like the bells and whistles, but that only keeps my attention for so long when I just suck at the actual games.

My mate just got into and after about 1 week he is past all the problems you were having.
