Activation failed with error: -821

Every time I try to activate with the SoftAnchor online activation it tells me it was unable to connect to internet. I then try to activate using the tool mentioned here which then tells me "Activation failed with error: -821".
I've checked my key at this site and it seems to be fine. I've also sent Muzchap and JMordetsky messages about my problem but haven't gotten a reply.
All I want to do is play the game that I've paid for. What can I do?

Thanks! The program described there crashed when I ran it, but turning off Windows firewall did the trick.
