Goalkeepers and their training

I've noticed recently that the attributes of my goalkeepers never change - regardless of age or whether they play or not. Their training is set to goalkeeping as you'd expect but this makes no difference either.

Has anyone else noticed this or is there something i'm not doing?

They go up fine in my games..

They develop in my games too. I've even changed their schedule to something different to goalkeeping, to the one which should increase positioning and that, and saw those stats improve, while the traditional goalkeeping stats dropped.
