general question about formation

For those who play a 4-4-2 all the time do you ever change to a 4-5-1


I normalley play a 4-5-1 away from home against the big club in the champions league or in a final on a neutral ground to dominate the game

I do if I know the team is much better than me (say I stole into the Champions League and I have Barcelona). However, if they're several divisions above me, I'll probably play 5-4-1.

I will normaley play 4-5-1 in an away league in the champions league with both of my CMs getting forward .

It is just a lesser risk . The same with a champions league final

In the league If I am away at arsenal for example I am never sure what to play even though I am the champions
