Need a little advice

Currently I am playing FC Omniworld. Now I am doing way better than I expected and got a playoff ticket. However my team kind of sucks. But what if I succeed and get to Eredivisie? Are there any advices for players? I am still at first season, for your info. Any help is appreciated. If you have tips to manage a major underdog squad( just for your info Omniworld was prognosed 20th in the First divsision), please do tell.
