End of season player assessment?

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to assess your players performance at the end of the season?

We have the fans player of the year etc.

You could assess each player and tell them what more you expect of them.

Or you could praise players for their great season etc.

Also if an average players contract is due up for renewal you could tell him he won't get offered another unless he starts to improve alot.

Just a few ideas.Something along those lines perhaps.

Great idea- another way of improving the system of player interaction which is poor at the moment.

I like this idea alot

So your after an updated coach report at the end of the season that gives advise on the player. Giving detailed reports on thier season and what to expect next year... Great idea

Another idea i just thought of.

If you get promotion and your striker say wants an improved contract,you could also tell him that you won't offer him an improved contract until he proves that he can play in a higher league.

The same goes for all players really,as you could be left with some expensive flops on your hands.

Be nice to get some feedback from someone at si.

Yea, I really like this idea.

It would help the manager resolve dead wood, and possibly give more chances to unnoticed youths. Fantastic Idea

That sounds like a good idea!

I think it would a really useful tool to assess how well players have performed in the long term and would enhance the game a great deal.

A way to improve the player interaction side and the coaches report side, no downside. This needs some serious consideration from all at SI for the next version.

There's some good thoughts from other people as to how it would enhance the game.

I'm sure we've just touched the tip of the iceberg on this.

As aaberdeenn says "there is'nt really a downside".

I really would like to see this in the next version, would help so much and wouldn't be at all hard to implement.

We just need a word from SI now..

Good idea - as long as you are allowed to be honest. At moment it seems a slight criticism of any player results in their morale going into freefall. If they have been useless, would be nice to be able to tell them that

Yeah, that's exactly what i mean.

At the moment when you get promoted (or relegated even) all you get are requests for another contract.

It would be great to be able to tell your players to buck their ideas up, and start performing to justify a new contract.Instead of just awarding a new one just because it's due.

You can't award a much improved contract to a player, just because he was part of a promotion winning team,you have to be able to tell him to prove he can play in a higher league first.

The feedback has been great on this.

Several people have asked si for their comments,but nothing yet.

Maybe they don't like to give too many of their secrets away.

I definitely like this idea. In a more general sense, I'd like to be able to talk directly to my players about their performance, rather than having to go theough the media all the time.
