You should look to attack and take the win, your fans will be more disapointed for home losses than away losses. And your home form is vital in any season, because you are less likely to succeed away.
You should be cautious, but you should be looking to take something from the game
My 2 cents, I use the TT&F guidelines and create an attack, standard, defensive tactic. Usually, if I'm at home against a big four type team I use standard tactic to start and go defensive if I'm up after 75 minutes, if I'm down I go attack after 60-70 minutes.
I find using the attack tactic leaves me too vulnerable against a much better side even at home. Home advantage and standard usually works well for me (currently west ham) and I can usually at least draw and steal a win here or there against the big four at home. Away against a big four playing defensive with a counter attack.
