Are you a Tottenham fan (going off your username)? If so, does the Tottenham main page have the up-to-date squad?
Not all do, it depends if any have been made. Most names are links, that lead to empty pages prompting you to write a page on them.
Once there is a page on the player the link that is currently red will turn to a blue link. Can't remember how many are blue links in the Spurs squad without looking but I don't think there is many (Button may be the only one).
Why Button of all people? He's just a youth Goalkeeper!![]()
Why don't you do a couple then, tottenhamfmo7?![]()
Button may have to play now tottenhamfmo7 due to today's incident.
On-topic: Is there a way to make the category of players for a club be on the main club page instead of in the player profiles page without having it as a sub-category?
You can link to it if you like, you can't categorise it so it appears on a page that isn't a category.
To link to it;
[[:Category:Arsenal Players|Arsenal Players]]
That'll appear as Arsenal Players.
You could put around it, to make it more noticeable?
Cheers mate.
Np
I'm making Harpenden Town atm, have added myself in as a director, footballmanagerwiki as a media source. Would you like to be in it as a director/some other member of the board too? If so, PM me (or post in here, up to you) with your first name, surname and nationality![]()
Theo Stigarakis - English/Greek
Any chance that I can be a GK coach? If not just assign me to any director role.
Yeah, sure(you won't be very good though, as you'll be at Harpenden :-D)
Btw, is that your real surname? If so, it's fantastic!
Cheers
EDIT: Oh, and as you can see it on coaches;
DOB -
City of birth -
And, if you want, favorite clubs, players, etc? Not essential, up to you.
I can make any of the above up if ya like![]()

99% sure it isn't, Jammy
You know who I am, put me down as director if you want![]()
No but it's more interesting than 'The Stig' is it not? It's also the name I use on FM btw.
Alan, your birthday is 31 Oct?
And Stig, yeah, it is![]()
Close enough
Birthday is 28.10.92
Birthplace is Galway
Btw Stig, I edited my above post - any chance of them? Cheers
And there isnt actually any difference between the 28th and 31st, so shup![]()

Any Greek city that isn't Athens
Damn, Athens is the only one I know
Thanks
EDIT: Kolymvari, okay?
That's fine.
First of all, apologies that i haven't put up a Wycombe article at all yetI've been swamped with coursework, GCSE Exams and the like over the past month, along with being ill and several trips with school, meaning i've hardly had time to load up FM! And when i have had time, i've been playing 09 to try and complete the Danny Roberts Challenge with Bernard Brennan!
Secondly, Jammy could you enter me as a Coach with the following details please:
Name: Tom Beckford
DOB: 20/09/93 (Don't hesitate to change the year to make it a bit more realistic!)
Birthplace: High Wycombe, England
Favourite Clubs: Wycombe Wanderers, FC United of Manchester
Cheers![]()
Sorry mate, I've already got it finalised and all ready to go - I'll add you in if I do a future update though![]()
Alan Spalan - on the League Editor files, could we have a new column with either Yes/No, for 'Based on real structure'?
That way, we could include ones that aren't real (like fantasy leagues) too?
Alternatively, have a section for fake ones.
I think we should include them somewhere.
Sure, do whatever you like with them. Both ideas sound good to me. You'll have to do them yourself though as I don't have the time atm.
I think that we should include both Jammy offering all options that users may want.
Also Tyoldinho has given permission to use his Fabian Delph GPTG guide for FM10. He's also given permission for any other guide he does to put on so i'll sort that out when he's PMed me when they are done.
Can't believe that it's been 2 weeks since a post has been made in this thread.![]()
Well...I have been doing examsso, haven't been able to contribute much yet.
Plus, I still don't have FM10, so no players or stadiums or anything till then. Might get it next week though if I can be bothered to go to the shop![]()
That's not an excuse (any of them)
Not bothering to go to the shop is a terrible one though.![]()
I know....haven't even played 09 for about 2 months.
Starting to miss it (FM in general)
IMO, 08 was the best FM so far, although I did like the demo for 10....
Just flicking through some articles on the Wiki, in the Gameplay section. A couple seem very opinionated.
For example, the article 'Makings of a Long-Term Game' is opinionated such as on avoiding dual-management.
What do you think about opinionated articles?
And, also, just been wondering......would an explanation (article) on dynamic reputation and static reputation be beneficial? (Yes)
[Blatent attempt at boosting us to the first page and on getting some discussion]
HelloI'm taking a break from posting on SI for now just in case anyone had noticed I haven't been posting much lately. That doesn't mean I'm not around - I still sign in most days to check my PMs and subscribed threads. I haven't lost interest in the wiki either, I just don't have the time to do much on the site at the moment. A quick look at Jammy's post history shows he hasn't been around much lately either, no sure what's up with him though...
Opinionated articles should probably be deleted imo.
And yeah, go for it![]()
Ok, I will have a look around for the opinionated articles, and edit them a bit, to remove the opinions, but if the whole thing is opinionated, i'll delete it
I didn't think that I had seen you much recently....however, I am taking a half break as well. I'm coming back from it now though, I just didn't post much for about a month or so. Still read threads every couple of days or so though.
Just added some categories for player profiles to help sort players by club so if people know that a player played for Carlisle that is on the wiki but can't remember his name they can search through players who have played for Carlisle and he should show up once i've (we've) added the player's clubs onto the site. It'll keep me busy before the game tonight.
That's a really good idea imo stig. If it's not all done by the weekend, I could help you with it if needed.
It's fun for those like John Ruddy or Simon Walton who have played for about 10 clubs by the age of 22/23 ish.
Stig, are you doing individual pages for all the players that have played for each club? So, for example, each club has a page just for players that have played for them in their career?
And, where are you linking these from? A new category?
I'm trying to help update some but I can't understand where you are putting them all.
A page for each club linked to the club page. See the Birmingham club page for example.
Ok, cheers. I will work on updating a few, instead of revising for History![]()
Have you done the list of transfer/wage budgets from the GTPG yet Rob?
NO! I forgot
Will get on to it, expect it up sometime tomorrow, or friday.
I am starting to do what you have done for the clubs, for the national teams....well, just England so far, take a look.
It should help people managin nations see which players they have available at a glance, as well as information on how to use them. And, I know that there is already a notable players section but hardly any of them have profiles, so this will be easy for them to see the ones with profiles, and view them, as some of them won't be included in the notable players section.
How do I create a category?
Would be very helpful for those who are playing as a nation that they are not familar with
Same way as creating a page from a red link.
When creating a page, put Category: at the start of the title.
Cheers, but I worked it out
I had tried that before, it was just that I was creating a page from within a page, so it didn't work earlier.
Could someone delete this page please?
Thanks, turns out I don't have the rights to delete pages
EDIT:Who else is buying the new Andy Dawson?Andy Dawson is an English football![]()

Deleted mate.
Haha, I like the new merry Christmas bit on the main page![]()
Oh, dudes. Want me to do anything for FM Wiki? Whatever happened to the Fanzine, too? We should start that up again.
Hi Nep. Anything at all would help, tbf. Some pages haven't updated to be relevant to FM10, some pages have been started but not finished (like the league editor files page, which is my bad to be fair) and there are some stubs that have needed looking at for a while.
We're also lacking in pages related to CSE if you're interested in writing anything on that. There are some here but still not that much.
Oh, and the fanzine idea kinda fell apart months ago. Might be worth a shot bumping the old thread on it (will try to find linkage) or starting a new one. I know for sure that I won't be able to commit to something like that anymore, anyway.

Unfortunately Andrew Smylie isn't on the official SI database otherwise we would definitely have had a page on him months ago Tom.Most of the player histories have the English team categories at least (if they've played in England) and they should be done by the end of the year when I have time.
![]()
I am sure they will.
Then will have to have pages for all 'forum legend' regens such as your Brennan too. It may confuse several people who view the wiki when they can't find him on their game.![]()
I've sorted out the team categories into a category of its own that can be accessed via the player profile section.
Do you think we could have a section on favourite regens where we can upload a screenshot of our favourite regens and do a profile on them. (One way to include Smylie Tom)
I'd say that if we were to do this, then only players who are forum "legends" should be allowed a page, such as those who have completed the Danny Roberts Challenge and those who have been entered into the Youth Player Hall of Fame![]()
Good call from me.
Has anyone else got a view on this? Jammy & Alan, i'm looking at you two btw![]()
*Notices Tom's attempt to get more recognision of Brennan*
Damn, somebody noticed my thinly veiled "Brennan is a legend" post
I'm writing up a list of potential legends as we speak, and tbh, there's millions of themLoads from NepentheZ, rancer890 and a few from others such as Ridleys, DodgeeD, TaylorB, mag man, santy001 and myself!
Ok, so far i've found the following players that are deemed worthy of inclusion in the legends category should the idea get the go ahead from people other than me and stig:
Danny Roberts - dafuge
Ryan Gaughan - dafuge
Paul Wallace - NepentheZ
Andrew Smylie - NepentheZ
Frank Dunlop - NepentheZ
Gareth Black - NepentheZ
John Adams - NepentheZ
Kevin Fry - NepentheZ
Carlo Milosevic - Rickaldo
Liu Lijia - rancer890
Zhu Jinhui - rancer890
Javier - rancer890
Vlastimil Vaclavik - DodgeeD
Josué Ramos - DodgeeD
Jake Carpenter - mag man
Charlie Margot (aka. mag man jr) - mag man
John Puckett - hamilton162
Bernard Brennan - hamilton162
Dong Tao - TaylorB
Kerrison - santy001
Josef Svec - kroblues
Dean Evans - Ridleys
Phew!![]()
Is that it?![]()
![]()
I think only regens that are well known around CSE (and Careers forum or anywhere else) should be written about. Will this all be on one page or are you thinking a page for every player?
Jammy isn't posting on the SI forums anymore (for now at least) btw. I spoke to him about this a few weeks ago and doesn't sound like he's interested in coming back and posting regularly any time soon. We all know he'll come crawling back eventually though...![]()
We could do a page about the CSE HOF and link the players from that or have a category going from that page.
I don't mind either way. Don't know much about CSE at all tbh so can't really help![]()
OK with doing it together then Tom?
Yeah, that's fine stigI'm suggesting we try and get a page on each player if possible, written by the user who managed the player, sound good?
Do you think it's worth adding the 'hall of fame' regens to the regen page?
Could do .
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but are legendary regen's from the CSE forum really that important?
I know this is all for fun and you guys have put in a lot of hard work already, but surely there are other things that would be more interesting from a general fan/noob of FM's point of view. The Nation guides for example, only has guides for 9 different nations.
Agreed, but it's easier said than done. Most of the regular editors on the site (myself included) haven't been able to contribute as much over the last few months for one reason or another, one of the admins has left the forums completely as well so it's tough to get anything done. Then those few who do contribute regularly to the site, well, they're only going to write about what they know and want to write about.
Since jammy's left I don't think any regular editor is an 'expert' at player/team advice so we're pretty much screwed there. We could take guides from GPTG'ers with their permission, but that's about it. Don't think there are many nation guides in GPTG anyway.
Edit: Oh, and a little update on expanding the site to FML - JJay said he'll be merging his old FML wiki with our site after the FML reset in March.
When do you think we should ask for permissions for FM10 team guides Alan? Now or after the final patch?
I think we should do it now. If it isn't done by next week, I probably won't have time to help at all. I bumped the GPTG thread yesterday, but didn't get many responses. I must ask Jammy if he PM'ed people asking for permission for the 09 guides.
I'll add Hopey's Lyon thread in a bit, he gave us permission to use his.
Just wanted to say well done to all those who have contributed to the Wiki this year, and hopefully we'll see the continuation of that
Happy New Year to you all, hope you all have a good one. Hope you all had a good Christmas too![]()
Happy new year JJ
Who is it that's in charge of the team guides again? I think it was stig and Jammy but I'm not certain. Would either of you mind helping with adding the GPTG guides to the site? Cheeers![]()
I do them mostly and certainly. I'll sort out the 09 ones first before putting the 10 ones on. Start with the Prem ones first whilst I sort out the 09 ones mate.
Happy new year to everyone too.
What does everyone think of players having an info box in the top right corner giving DOB, main position, other positions, starting club, starting wage, nationality, other nationalities?
Just had a quick look on FM Wiki, and you dont have anything on Rubin Kazan, you could use my Team Guide from the GPTG if you want![]()
Thanks and we'll put that up over the next few days unless you want to put it on yourself. To put it on, you'll need request an account.
Nah, thats way too much effort for me
Ill leave it to the pro\'s.
That's fine then.
Started with these tonight if people want to help me.
Stig, since you're the main person in charge of the team guides, do you want to start the 'can we use your team guide' thread for FM10 in GPTG? Hopey gave me permission to start a new thread.
I'll try to help where I can with the guides, but I don't have much time on my hands these days so I'm not sure how much I can do.
Can do mate.
Is the Crewe page in bold for anyone else in recent changes?
Not for me.
Might just be because I've editted it so many times then.
Sorry i haven't been around to help much with the HoF players stig, school has set me loads of work despite being closed!![]()
I'm starting to change the disclaimers at the bottom of each page, NepentheZ didn't write out all of that for each player, the user who's the player is wrote it!
wow this is very impressivewell done to the authors.
That's nice of school Tom. Thought i'd put the right user for each but obviously not.
Edle - Thanks. If there is anything you'd like to add to the site just let us know.
Is anyone else having trouble loading it today?
It's down for me atm Mir too.
Edit: Back up.
