Shall we try a competition page in the sidebar, just to see how many views it gets. If it gets a fair few, we do a competition to win something, and carry on from there when we see how the actual competition goes.

It's up now - I figured out a way of getting around using up our bandwith for the podcasts.

You may have spotted the featured fansite box that now appears on the FM website homepage.

Every week (or 2) I will rotate the featured fansite and also run a news story on that website. There'll be an overview of what that website does, what it offers, why it's unique to the scene with a short Q&A section with the site's webmasters

We should be the featured site in six weeks time. I was late signing up so we're near the bottom of the list

I've updated the FM10 page with new features that have been announced and a link to the new DRM page. Blogs page is also updated.

I'm making sure that each team has a main club page with latest squad and ins/outs from this summer IRL. Also linking off each is a link to each club guide that we have permission for. I've done about 1/4 of them and will try to get it sorted before FM10 comes out.

Seeing as we are going to be on the fansite feature in a couple of weeks, I think we need to get some activity on the wiki to make it look like we are still improving it even more, so I am back to work on it.

Apologies Alan on the podcast thing, I forgot (kind of ) and am not totally sure what you want putting up.

Would an article called like Podcast #1 or whatever you want it called, and then just some info from the podcast in it be okay?

Just look at the podcast thread and see if there's any talk about a new feature announced. If there is, then add it to the list on the FM10 page. If there isn't, well then obviously there was nothing worth mentioning revealed in the podcast.

I reckon our main target should be to generally make more pages on things related to Football Manager. For example, we could make pages on Beta testing, Bugs (saying what a bug is) and generally some more miscellaneous pages.

Do you reckon we could make a new thread asking for people to say what else they think we could make pages on? We need to know what people want from the site.

I could probably help a bit with miscellaneous pages, although I'm not sure what's left to write about there.

A beta testing page couldn't be done as it's closed testing and you have to sign an NDA - unless I'm missing something here?

I'd be reluctant on starting another FM Wiki thread in this forum, as we're lucky enough to be allowed just the one thread here.


Oh, and I posted our EDT, DDT and LNC files guide up in the editors' forum. I was updating their forum resources and FAQs sticky yesterday and noticed there wasn't anything on them so I posted it up. Linkage

I don't think there's much point compiling a list of bugs in FM09. Sounds like more effort than it's worth - I mean who would come onto a site to read about everything dragging the quality of the game down?

I've made the page on bugs, it's got 5 of the biggest bugs from this years game.

I've seen you say a few times that it 'Sounds like more effort than it's worth', isn't the point of a wiki to have as much information on as many topics as possible? People don't want to go onto a site that sits and sucks SI's arse, that'd be pointless. People want the real, honest, stuff, and bugs are a big part of the game.

It's got nothing to do with kissing SI's ass - I just don't think many people would have any interest in reading about problems that were in the game. Because of this, I won't contribute to that page. It isn't to say you can't write about it - it just means that I don't want to spend my time working on something which I don't feel would contribute much to the site.

If you were only planning on mentioning the main bugs, that's great - but honestly if you were thinking of compiling a definitive list of FM09 bugs I think it'd be more effort than it's worth ().

Also the Spanish registration bug where a B/C player would take your A team player's 'squad slot'.

Serie C, Spanish registration and the heapload of compatibility issues (not sure if this counts as a bug or not) spring to mind.

Serie C - the game crashed on a certain date if you had Serie C loaded
Spanish Registration - Not certain, but a quick search should give you the info.

I think the beta testing page needs to be expanded to become a general testing page - in house testing is more important, to be fair.

On the Bugs page issue, it was an issue with the Italian Seria C Cup I believe.

And, you could list what patch they were fixed in and workarounds for them etc.

Right, all of the blogs are up-to-date, screenshots, vids and podcasts are up, and I've put up a few new pages to prepare for FM10 release. So far we've set up a page for FM10 skins and data editor files (as well as a few other bits and bobs but I have to wait until release day to put them up). Any other requests?

Also: SCIAG and Rob - are you still up for making a club page design?

To prepare for FM10 release I've put up a few pages on league files and other editor stuff. I'll put up my lazio gptg thread as well if I get time.

Is anyone else here doing gptg threads that you'd like to post up on the site. And jammy - have you spoken to purefun and hopey about asking people can we use their threads on the site? If not, I would hold off a few weeks until a good few more threads have been posted up.

Any other ideas as to what we could do coming up to FM10 release time? I think our week as a featured site on footballmanager.com is coming up soon.

Jammy - I think you should put system specs on the main FM10 page and remove the bit in the infobox that I put in. I think it'd look more organised if specs were kept on the main page like with other game release pages.

I should probably delete a few screenshots that aren't all that telling from the screenshots page. Will do that whenever I get time.
