That reminds me, I'll have next to no time on my hands from next week onwards until the start of June. Seeing that I'm the only active admin nowadays, there is the possibility that I will be asking one of you guys to fill in for me as a temporary admin. I doubt there's much "modding" to be done as such, but I think it's best we have someone filling-in just in case we face spamming troubles again.

Has anyone done up a page for dafuge challenge or even posted a link to his website?

It is probably the most popular challenge and i know alot of people including myself takes aspects of his challenge when playing the game, like myself i waited for fc utd to become playable but i've alot of other leagues loaded therefore taking me out of the challenge but i think it might be a good idea for that challenge to have an article on the wiki.

If such an article already exists i do apolaizes for missing it

What is wrong with players having a page each? It is not exclusive to teams that are top-flight or potentially top flight. Marc-Vivien Foé is in the non-player section as he is favoured personnel (iirc) for Man City but isn't a player as he has been dead a few years now.

Actually, he is a player- just not in recent versions. Favoured personnel, retired shirt number, etc., is nothing compared to a player in former CMs.

Excellent lower league players- fine. But a player who is only going to fizzle out? Is there are need?

I did. I just know for a fact that running the game in compatibility mode speeds up the game. Nothing to do with me using vista or not.

To put it into the XP mode, you can't use your shortcut.

You must instead go to:

C:/ProgramData/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2009/

Here you will find the real icon for the game and if you right-click on this and click Properties, then you will get the compatibilty tab.

Screenshots would be a great help. I haven't contributed many player profiles but I think if we get a good structure going with them, then they will get to be a better standard. I will increase my workload on the Wiki substantially after I have done my exams.

Love it Alan. Unfortunately my laptop that has FM09 on has had to go back to Acer and so I can't add anything like screenies for the players at the moment. I'll carry on adding players throughout the next month or so if that's OK.

I don't have any opinion on this really, because apart from screenshots, I won't be adding anything to the player profiles. It's entirely up to yourselves, but sure if someone wants to keep adding player profiles, I don't think we should stand in their way.

Keep adding the player profiles for the players if you can then, Stig. Me and Alan can upload the screenies.

If you can(I know it could be quite hard), try and give some FM related info in the article.

For example, you could look at the screenshots and then, deduce some strengths and weaknesses etc.

For the player screenshots, how about you work backwards from Z and I continue on from A? That way we won't overlap.

And stig, do you think it'd be a good idea to create a few sub-categories for player profiles? We've over 60 profiles now iirc and it's getting a bit cramped up.

We could do what I am doing/going to do with stadium articles and put them into leagues and then, into teams. But, to do that we would need a lot more articles.

IMO, unless we have an ingenious idea, leave it as it is until we hit 120, and then, we have to do something.

If you just open up the page editing section and look at what template code we've put in to make something-or-another appear, then it's fairly easy to follow.

You may have noticed that some regens you have scouted have funny personalities. This is not a bug! Some of the Football manager/Sega workers have put themselves in the game as regens. All of them have random potentials but more often than not none of them will be great. To find these players type faceinthegame in the search filter. When scouting these players there personalities will be funny and not normal like "cluck cluck". An example of this is:

How on earth that could possibly be a bug is beyond me!

I'll fix up the image you posted, it isn't working. The regen personalities thing was already brought up here, but sure it doesn't do much harm having it on the fake players page.
