For information at a glance
Look at this: http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk...Premier_League (I did that before I was banned not knowing the extension was not installed)
with the extension installed it would look like the box on the right hand side of this (minus graphics until they are uploaded):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premier_League
Also, please could you unban my ip address ?
The IP has been unblocked
I'll ask JJay to install the template. Don't thin I have the privileges to do so.
FM Wiki rules!
keep up the good work lads, i might pop round one day and have another look, but right now, MYFC on my ipod touch is calling!
he was, great guy![]()
Added the UEFA Club competitions to the Miscellaneous section atm.
Maybe we should change the 'League Guides' category to 'Competition Guides'. It'd make more sense to have it that way imo so we can put the UEFA competitions in there as well.
I've added a few pages:
nleague.lnc
fake.lnc
Japan - J-League
South Africa - PSL
and a few others.
Hopefully, the admin will install the extensions requested here:
http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk...ted_Extensions![]()
Lou, I don't think I have permissions to install those extensions. I have PM'ed our webmaster JJay, but he hasn't got back to us yet.
No worries.. I've had a fiddle about..

Although having said that, shouldn't the UEFA pages be under their FM names? i.e. UEFA Champions League is the European Cup?
Sub-categories are looking good
I think the competition names are fine as they are. Just put in a reference as to what they're called in FM somewhere in the article, should do fine.
I made a page last night called 'Real Competition Names'. No way am I doing all that on my own, there's hundreds of competitions.![]()
What do real competition names have to do with editing?![]()
The same reason the lnc files are in the category!
Depends on how you use them.![]()

I've added competition names to the miscellaneous section - still in the editing section too though.
I love talking about stadiums, and have a pretty good knowledge on English stadiums, if you need me![]()

will do Millwall's New Den tonight.
Search for New Den, then click add new page.
its not very good, but what does everyone think for my first go?

Your other requests (common.css + SVG) have been completed![]()

i know it isnt very good but ive been pretty busy
Docklanders - In future, could you please put [[Category:Stadia]] at the end of your stadium profile pages. Also, any chance of a factfile like the last one you did?
If you're watching the game and don't want to be disturbed, then why are you posting here?
good question.
I dont have an answer, well i do, but its not very good:
My dad was telling me to do revision, so i thought id pretend to type, this is better though

Blue Lou - stand down, I've got it nowParserFunctions is now installed
Docklanders - Millwall supporter?
I've added a bit to the tips on making the game run faster page.
Has anyone else here downloaded the Fansites pack? It's got some quite good stuff in it, might be worth a look. It's on the FM site.
The fansites kit? I'll have a look.
Out of interest, do any of you wiki editors using a Mac? Just need a little help writing up a page. If anyone who doesn't work on the wiki is reading this (which I doubt), I'd still really appreciate it if you gave me a hand here
And someone who uses Steam too please.

Macintosh HD - Users - Shared - Sports Interactive - Football Manager 2009 - hall-of-fame.dat
Has CAMRAD got a page yet?
I give permission for any of my posts to be used for a CAMRAD page. Must be done, surely?
C.
OK. Thanks!
C.
I wouldn't mind contributing some articles!
I love the fact that there's so much still to learn about FM and i'd like to share my knowledge with others
I'll try and contribute a thorough Finance section.
Good to hear swisso, welcome aboard
Just let me know if you've any questions on writing up stuff for the wiki.
Seems like this is going really well, keep it up lads.![]()
Great stuff. Here's the Affiliate Clubs page. As for the tips on finances, you can either stick to the page that arsenal_2111 posted up earlier or start a new page for different subjects. Either way, I don't really mind.
Right, my monthly(ish) check on things has revealed a lot less issues than last time, well done lads
I have one suggestion. Player profiles are currently documentation of a player's career IRL. Don't you think we'd be better off writing about them in FM, as suggested Here?
Yeah, I'd prefer it that way. Having said that, I'm not one to be giving advice on players so I'm useless here.
Also, what areas do you feel we should expand on in the wiki? Anything you'd like us to expand on. I'd like to have an impartial view on what needs to be looked at.
Edit again: I'm doing a massive overhaul of the Useful Links page today. Basically what I'm going to do is have a look around the majority of FM sites and post links to any page I find that might be of use.

Could someone using steam tell me if you find hall_of_fame.dat @ C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\hall_of_fame.dat
Sure Alan, will check now mate![]()
Indeed Alan, it is @ C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\hall_of_fame.dat![]()
Great, cheers Hamilton
I've done a good bit of work on the wiki today. Made a few sub-categories for club guides, might do the same with player profiles but I'll wait for stig's opinion on it before I do anything. A few miscellaneous articles were added. Haven't done that "massive overhaul" of the links page, but I did add a few more links.
I'd suggest removing a lot of the player profiles too. No offence to whoever put them up (presumably ssestig), but unless a player release by Crewe is outstanding in a certain version of FM, there shouldn't be a page on him. Gylfi Sigurdsson has a high PA, but does he really warrent a page? I'm tempted to say so. We'll need to draw up guidelines on whether players are allowed or not (much like they have in Wikipedia). I'd say those should be based on PA. If a player has ever had a PA of -8 or 150+, then he is allowed a page. If he is an outstanding lower league player (like Super Kyle) then likewise. The same should go for staff. Mark Vivean-Foe should be moved to the players section assuming he meets criteria. He isn't in the game as a non-player.
I think the page for the dafuge challenge should possibly be re-named "small club challenges", and incorportate dafuge's challenge, Gundo's challenge, JoseRR's challenge, rancer890's challenge, and the other one. Is that practical?
Club profiles- I like the PSG one, and maybe they should be edited to go down that route? However, ideally there'd be more expansion on players in the squad.
Europa League page could use a clean up.
I'll try to help when I can, particuarly with the player profiles.
I don't think he particularly means that we should not have pages for special players only, but pages shouldn't be created just for the point of it.
I agree with SCIAG on this, if a page is going to be written it should mainly focus around the player in FM and shouldn't be created just so the whole squad is full. Just my opinion.
Maybe a poll in the other forum for this?
If someone has the time or wants to add pages for specific players; then why not? Restricting anything like this defeats the objective of a wiki imo.
What about the screenies from past versions of the game for now?
I am back from my holiday and I have lots of stadium pages to upload and I can also add a FM06 page(or more info to it) as I played some of that on holiday because I have lost my 08 disk and i only have 09 on my computer.
Last edited by pnefc22; 09-05-2009 at 22:53. Reason: Holiday pages to upload? :D
arsenal_2111 I made a Boavista thread if you interested (http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=123632)![]()
