I have accidently removed the stub from the 'Physios' page, while adding more.

I will add the physio guide tomorrow or on sunday.

    Could someone please re-add it?

    Thanks.

PS - How do you add the stub tags?

Nationality I think. Also done pages for Steve Schumacher, Joel Grant, James Bailey,Byron Moore, Kenny Lunt, Danny Shelley (although very brief), Eugen Bopp, Danny O'Donnell, Michael O'Connor, Anthony Elding (his club stats table took a long time) and Calvin Zola. Time for a rest me thinks.

    Sorry.

    It stands for nationality.

I forgot to write that in.

I will add more to that soon.

It needs a complete guide as at the moment, you know how to type it out but there is no way that you could get it to work by doing that.

I could help out with some articles when I have time, anything specific that you want doing, or shall I just dive in?

Just as a reminder to everyone - don't forget to remove the stub tag whenever you feel enough information has been added to a particular page.

Panathinaikos and PSV done as well, in a similar way. Should I remove the stub tags for any I do?

I will. Do you mind if I take information from your guide and mix it with the info we've already been given from FM-Britain? They've given us a good bit of information, but yours goes a bit more in-depth.

    Not a problem.

I presume his dates back a couple of years ago, because there have been some changes since then.

Liaoning Guangyuan is no more, of course.

There is no relegation from the S-League, unlike what he said.

And the Singapore Cup lasts all season long, instead of from April to June. The last one (2008) started in May and the final was in November.

Teams are now allowed to register 6 foreign players, but name only 4 in the match squad.

I should also add in a couple of things not in my original thread, but will be useful in the Wiki. These are fairly recent additions by the way.

    Charity Shield
As you'd have guess, a pre-season curtain raiser between the League and Cup winners (or League runners-up if the double was achieved).

    Singapore League Cup
A mid-season tournament played between all 12 League Clubs, usually lasting a month (May-June). The top 4 in the league the previous season gets a bye into the second round, while the rest play a one-off knockout first round. After that the format is similar to the Singapore Cup (two-legged knockout rounds) until the one-off final match. There is also a third place playoff (also present in the Singapore Cup).

    Hope that has been helpful.

Instead of having empty pages cramp up the current category pages, how about we open a category for blank pages? Obviously we would re-categorise them again as soon as they have some content.

Maybe a notice on blank pages should be put up in the 'Why we have set this up' bit.

That is pretty excellent , although (sorry, being picky here) the opening seems to contradict a little with the first paragraph of the S-League.

I would probably put the opening as such:

The S-League was formed in 1996, as Singapore's very own football league. Prior to this, football in Singapore consisted of the national team competing in the Malaysian Cup. After winning the trophy in 1994, a decision was made to withdraw from the tournament, which came as a shock to Singaporeans, ending a 75-year association with the tournament.

However, the S-League has moved leaps and bounds since then, and has become one of the top 10 leagues in Asia, according to the AFC (Asian Football Confederation). From 8 teams in 1996, it has since expanded to 12 teams, and has also attracted some foreign clubs to establish feeder teams in the league to increase its competitiveness.

The FA of Singapore have taken the unusual step of including a team of their own in the competition, Young Lions being made up of the vast majority of the nation's under-23 international side, although foreigners who are eligible to become Singaporean nationals are also allowed

The 12 teams all offer varying challenges, but it is a very promising league, and to be fair, with the right moves, anyone is capable of anything.

Then the start of the topic S-League would be "The S-League is made up of twelve clubs....etc"

Other than that, it's mostly good.

It's a good thing you're being picky, because ultimately it'll improve the quality of the page.

Oh, I've seen what you done there.

Yeah, sorry, should have been more clear. By 'opening' I meant above the index.

    Erm, not quite.

Under the S-League header, the first two paragraphs can be omitted.

I think that it is a good idea but where would we put a link to this category, as I don't think that it should go on the top row.

Because people using the wiki are not going to click on a category of blank pages.

I sugeest placing it at the bottom of the first page and as long, as we know where it is then it will be alright as we can then, use it.

Every article IMO should be placed in one of these kind on holding places till one of us sees it and approves it (sees it as an appropriate good standard) and, then we could move it to the correct area. It would probably improve the standard of the articles.

Does that mean I can be our official representative and chief executive of advertising while you're gone?

    Good luck.

    Awesome

Think I'll work on a definitive guide on using the editor for the next few days. I'll probably post it up in the editors hideaway as well because I feel it's being neglected a bit on that part.

I am going to be working on the stadiums article page and the stadiums articles over the next few days.

I have just done a few more stadium articles and will finish all the Championship articles tonight and then, put them up.

Alan (or anyone else), can you help me with something?

I can't change the layout of the Stadiums page

It only has one line with the title and the link to the General stadiums page when I click on 'edit'.

I want to try something different with it as we are getting quite a lot of stadium articles and it is starting to look messy.

Plus, when creating a new article, I realized that we have two categorys for Stadiums - named 'Stadia(linked from the front page) and one called 'Stadiums' (have to do something different to get to)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to get rid of the stadiums being sorted in alphabetical order? I don't think that's possible to change while keeping it a category, although JJay might be able to change that.

I guess we could have it without it being a category if JJay can't do anything.

As then, we could just link them off the Stadiums page.

    Ok cheers.

I think that it will be a lot neater like that, than a long list of stadiums.

I have added about 5 more stadiums.

EDIT: I can't make a new page called 'Stadia' because there is already the stadia page which talks about stadiums. Should I call it 'Stadiums' instead?

I've fixed it. It can be called stadia now, with the old stadia article being re-named general stadium information. Makes a bit more sense I think

Did any of you know how the World Cup Group Stages are ordered?

If two or more teams end up with the same number of points, tiebreakers are used: first is goal difference, then total goals scored, then head-to-head results, and finally drawing of lots (i.e. determining team positions at random).
France just finished higher than Tunisia because of this, seems really unfair.

    No, my FM game.

Both won 1, drew 1, lost 1, scored 4, conceded 4, have 0 GD and they drew their game 1-1.

Yet France finished higher. Seems unfair...

I'm going to try and do some stuff today

There's one thing I've noticed when browsing the site though. Under 'Nation Guides', some of them are articles about the nation, as you'd expect, e.g. their good players, honours etc. However, others are about the league system in the country. I think these should go under 'League Guides' instead. Would make more sense I think, as some articles in this section currently are like this anyway, but others just include the teams in the league.

For what it's worth, in my opinion the nation guides should contain information about the national team, then maybe a list of the leagues in the nation, linking them to the league guides pages.

Opinions? If you understand what I've just written

Yes, that's my mistake. I've already fixed half the problem by putting those guides in the league guides page, I just haven't got around to taking them out of the nation category.

    Good stuff.

Under league guides, there's a page for United States and one for MLS, they're pretty much the same thing looking at them, the MLS one is in more detail though.

I think that they could merit their own category in the future but for the moment, they should be put in either the player or non-player category's.

I also think that instead of doing non-players(retired ones) we should focus on doing players in the game first.

But, if you would like, go ahead and do non-players.

I'm going to watch a match tonight so, I will be out but keep up the good work

I did the Middlesbrough page last night. Probably needs a little more adding, like recommended formation, signings etc. but the rest of the page is there.

I've categorised the Son page, it is now a stub and under gameplay. If anyone thinks there is a more sutiable category for it just change it

    Oh, I meant to ask.

Would you guys like a logo for the S-League article? I'm not sure how you guys go about getting these things, but I suppose the S-League website would be helpful.

    www.sleague.com.

That website is loading at a painfully slow speed for me. Any chance of a direct link to an image?

Damn. I forgot to mention they use a lot of Flash, and so would slow down computers.

Flash also means I can't link to the image directly.

    Try this perhaps:
    S-League

Yeah. Save for the Yeo's and Great Eastern bit, which are actually sponsors' logos.

Do you guys need permission or anything to use such logos?
