Plus, I have done Stadium pages for the following stadiums:
Preston
QPR
Liverpool
Ipswich
Norwich
Arsenal
And, another team which I can't remember.

It seems to be exactly the same messages from the last banned spammer. Got to be changed to only registered users can edit pages.
Turns out that there are more pages that were spammed by the same person.
The other pages were:
Spain - La Liga Clubs
France - Ligue 1 Clubs
Germany - Bundesliga Clubs
Championship Manager
I'll undo it now![]()
WTH. All my work on the US page gone.![]()
And who called Landon Donovan Landy Cakes. C'mon, let's be serious, I call him Landy Cakes too, but I don't put that in Wiki.![]()
How do you re-direct a page to another eg. Spurs to Tottenham Hotspur?
#REDIRECT [[Tottenham Hotspur]]
I think that it is that.
I actually have done 9 stadiums.
I am putting them on now.
EDIT: I have put all 9 of them up now.

There is no need for anyone to do any stadium guides.
I will do them all.
I will do about 10 a night and will have them all done soon.
Only thinking of saving time Rob and saving you a job.
I don't mind.
If people do some then, that is great but if they don't, I don't mind because they only take a few minutes each.
Right, he's been banned (again).
I guess our only choice is to block all pages for non-registered users.
Block them, as it is getting ridiculous.
When we get to do this, how will we differensiate (sp) between two or more players with the same name? eg. Billy Jones (Crewe) and Billy Jones (Preston)
I was just about to ask the exact same question about Billy Jones after looking at your Crewe article.
Billy Jones at Preston is better.
They were both at Crewe at the same time so they will have had the same problem.
Could we include the place of birth to separate them? Thankfully you took the better one of the books so it wasn't too bad though last season we had Gary Roberts (now Yeovil) and Gary Roberts (now Huddlesfield) in the same midfield.
From the Singapore thread:
Could the person that made this thread sort it out? ThanksThe above was all written by [insert name here] in the Sports Interactive Community Forums. It was originally posted in the Football Manager 2009 International Management Thread. All credit for the above goes to him. As footballmanagerwiki is avalible to anyone to edit as they like, I can not guarantee that the below is the exact work of the original writer. I'm doing that now.

Right, unregistered users aren't allowed to edit any page any more. It's not ideal, but I felt as if we had no other choice. That's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back...![]()
Saves all the minutes you could have to spend banning unregistered spammers though mate.
I didn't say it would be the end of the spamming. No problem, i'll probably do some more of the Crewe players tonight. Who else are the mods just in case you're not around?
I am a mod. Only because I made the initial site.
It was BenArsenal, I think because it was me that got permission to use that.
I can't remember though.
Sorry about the disclaimer, I must have forgotten his name and then, not had the time to find it and then, forgotten about it afterwards.
What is the next option after only allowing registered users to edit?
Only allow mods to edit?
I'm quite suprised no one has done them yet. I was looking to link them into my article but couldn't find anything
For anyone looking to do articles there is a whole host of international tournaments that could be included. I'll consider doing some myself soon, but not tonight.
And, so would you have to add me, ssestig, smallmac and the other contributors of this thread as admins so that we could edit?
Hopefully, we don't get to that situation and the spammers get bored with spamming
I might make some international tournament articles.
I will do 10 stadium articles tomorrow and maybe a tounament article. Plus, some bits and bobs of articles which I have not finished.

But registered users can edit.
Sorry, maybe I didn't make it clear.
I meant if the spammers kept registering and spamming then, would you have to do the above.
It seems that way, though that would destroy the object of the project.
It's fine the way it is now imo.
Pages Camp Nou and Nou Camp(redirected) have been made![]()
I will do some more stadium pages after my dinner.
Just a thought regarding the stadia articles - How about we just leave the stadium profiles in the page of the club/nation that plays there? Let's face it, there's more or less the same information about the stadia in the stadium pages as there in the club pages
Also, regarding player profiles - Is the aim of having a profile for every player realistic? Personally, I feel we should only have a page on players infamous to the FM/CM series, like Tó Madeira. Otherwise it'd esentially just be a waste of time because wikipedia has all that information & more anyway.
I'd like to hear what you all think about it![]()

Well, we probably won't have every single player in FMWiki anyways. Also, regarding player profiles - Is the aim of having a profile for every player realistic? I'm new to the series (FM08), the only parts I can contribute to the wiki is MLS stuff...
I probably won't have much time to contribute to the wiki anyways...too busy these days.

Thats the post it was written in![]()
I'm going to do quite a lot more on abrevations etc, theres a big list in the GPTG FAQ so I will use some of them.![]()
Yeah, I thought it'd be easy at first. Went blank soon enough after that![]()
We need some more redirects now imo. So if anyone can think of any, please just request them here & I'll sort it out![]()
Good job, no need for the stub tag anymore![]()
Bosman Transfers has been made, as a stub
Affiliated Clubs is also made, again as a stub.
And, lastly, WeeGiE has been made as a stub.
These will all need developing at some point, but for now they are a good start imo.

Both have been protected
I've added a few redirects for FM series titles.
Okay cheers, weegie is now protected as well.
I've added an external links section at the end of a few articles.
http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk...l_Manager_2009
Bottom of the page - lists the patches & the FM09 website. Good or bad idea for other articles?
Good idea imo, although I don't think they are needed for too many articles.![]()
I've added them to all game release articles, as well as a few graphics & editing pages. They're not needed for much else really.
Do you think it'd be worth submitting our site here?
Oh yeah, we're an official affiliate now as far as I know. Forgot to mention that![]()
I don't mind. If no one feels up to it, I'll do it later on. But go ahead if you want to do it.
No
It's a small forum for affiliate sites' webmasters. Nothing to get excited about, it's not very active
It's like SIASII, but private.

How many stadia have you done Rob?
I've change stadiums to stadia on the front page & on the title of the article.
Sorry, I got lost in my Valencia game.
I have done a few(about 4) but will go and do some more, now.
I will post them up tomorrow probably.
Who changed the 'Stadiums/Stadia category so that it was listed in Alpabetical order?
I think that this is a bad idea.
As, before you could read what leagues and which club it belonged to and was much easier to find a specific club with.
I think that once we get lots of stadium articles it would look bad.
So, my idea is that we have them categorised into League Stadium pages, which have all the clubs in that league's stadiums in.
I might do some more Crewe profiles tonight. To keep the players who have the same name I will enter date of birth eg. Billy Jones 790102 if he was born 2nd Jan 1979. Is that OK?
If it is easier you can call me Stig if you want.
I don't understand what you mean, Jez.
If we had it in League pages, we could have the 'Stadium' page for links to the league stadiums pages.
Someone made a mistake creating the stadia page, meaning that it isn't actually a category. I'll fix it now.
Ah, now I see the problem. Someone spelt 'category' wrong.
It's fixed now![]()
Seeing that category, shouldn't 'Stadia' be put at the top of the page instead of under S? Should only be stadiums in there imo.
Is the site working for you? It's down for me.
New Wales national team page created by WelshWizard11
Who is WelshWizard11?
Whoever it is, welcome![]()
Not sure Alan but definitely welcome.
I still can't get onto the site - any idea why it's not working?
The site is working fine for me
What url are you using?
http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk...itle=Main_Page
Tried http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk/ as well, but no luck.
I'm using http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk too but it's working for me.
I am doing a Valencia Stadium page.
But, they move into a new ground on the game in the second season (I think) so, should I include information on that?
Yeah, I am using that url and I am having no problems.
Maybe do an article while you wait for it to fix![]()
Could do Rob.
