Any opinions on my idea about the stadiums and how to make it easier to locate them?
Eg. the Stadia page contains:
English Premier League Stadiums
La Liga Stadiums
English Championship Stadiums
ETC

We only have a few stadium articles at the moment so it's not a problem yet, but I d agree that we'll have to do something about it sooner or later.
I'm back on the wiki now, I was having cache issues apparently. JJay sorted it for me though.
That seems quite confusing :/ Maybe DDMMYY but not YYDDMM. I'm sure there must be a better way of doing it though.
How about a page called Billy Jones, and then one called Billy Jones (Preston) and one called Billy Jones (Crewe), then have links to them both on he Billy Jones page. If you like I will make the pages and you could just do the information?
Probably the best way of doing it I suppose.
K, do you want me to make them or will you?
Will it be done for all players like this? Can you sort that out please mate?
WelshWizard11 is Dan_Wales_Man on here. It says in the Wales national team page Alan.
Don't know about others, but I don't think we should have that sort of thing on there. On the club guides it is OK, because I am posting on behalf of someone else, but if its your own work it isnt needed imo.
Sorted both Billy Jones'.

I've added a FM fansites page.
Shall I change them so (eg) www.sortitoutsi.com appears as 'Sortitoutsi'? Or just leave them as they are?
Arsenal it's .net at the end mate. Edited my last post above Alan too.
Done profile page for Gylfi Sigurdsson.
I've merged the facepacks page with the kits & logos page. They were both more or less the same so it was pointless to have both.
It's still very rough though.
K, no point having both as they do that same.
I'm off now, night![]()
Night Jammy.
I'll stay up another while & make a few more minor edits.
Night mate. Is anyone going to 'lock' my threads i've done tonight?
Looking through the sections, I think Affiliated clubs, Bosman transfers and Work permit should be under the Gameplay category instead of Miscellaneous. I'll move them unless people think they shouldn't?
Ok i've moved the articles i was talking about.
Cheers mate. I'll do more tomorrow mate after footy.
Cheers stig. I think I'm done now for tonight. Will do a bit more tomorrow.
Cheers smallMac![]()
Just a minor announcement. I am now the new 'FM Wiki representative'. I would just like to ask you that if you ever need to ask for permission to use content, and I am online, to PM me and I will get it sorted immediately. I will also be looking around and finding new ways to advertise our site.
Sorry, I will make myself clearer. Basically, if you want to use an article or a piece of writing that someone else has written, and I am online, mention it here and I will get you permission. It is something I am good at outside of these forums and I guess I may aswell use it to good effect.
Oh ok. So if i want to copy somthing from say bbc football - you could sort that out? Or is it only in reference to these forums?
I would do my best to sort it out, with places like that it could take a while to get a reply but I would do my best![]()
Was just thinking the other day that there is loads of relevant info we could lift from Wikipedia to fill in some gaps, i wonder what copyright (if any) they have? I guess also that people would rather the articles we did were original from forumers.
Well BBC is seemingly impossible but I have contacted skysports in hope they will give us some light permissions. I will explore what copyright they have.
Also, I am not sure people will mind too much about things like player profiles as I am sure they appreciate the difficulty at hand.
Since you're our advertising guy now Peter, does that mean you'll be adding us to the fansites page on the FM website?
Slight rule change: Only registered users are allowed to make pages now.
Could somebody test that they can edit the pages that is registered?
I will be putting our page on the FM website![]()
I've made a seperate forum for the wiki. PM me if you're interested in joining.
I want a cool role like Peter has now![]()

Update: We are on the FM Fansites section but are on the final page. CaptainHaddock will be mention us in the 'community round-up' and I will put a reference in the 'affiliates section'.
Is that the fansites forum or the affiliates forum Peter?
What do you mean? We are on the FM official website.
Never mind. I thought you said forum.
I need you all to rate us five-stars to give us a wee boost.
But that's cheating![]()
If you think we are worth five-stars then boost us.![]()
Worth 6 stars tbh, but theres no option for that![]()
Welcome aboard Dan, check your PM inbox![]()
Yes welcome aboard Dan!
Have you got a link to the FM official website where it has us as an affiliate/fansite.

Top of the top page aswell![]()
Glad to see great progress been made since the last time I was on.I have not as much time as I used to and probably will not until I am finished my work experience at the end of August. Weekends are mainly the only time I can contribute at the moment (I know this is not the weekend before anyone says anything
). Last weekend was an exception though due to a certain rugby match.

Just discovered your PMs ahmufcwafc so have now joined the Wiki forum.
In fact i had another PM from another fella over 2 months ago which i never realised i had received![]()
I think it would be great if you could try to enforce some sort of standard layout for certain types of pages like the Club Guides for example. Hoffenheims page for example has info like Stadium Facilities and Transfer Budgets whilst other pages do not. This is handy info for someone who is looking to start a new game and it would be nice to see all teams pages like that and following the same structure for neatness and continuity. If all pages were like that perhaps people would use it as a guide for picking a club or nation to go manage when they are unsure.
If you decide that this is a good idea it would be better to put it in place sooner rather than later, so that there are less pages to edit.
I like Landon Donovans page btw, it's certainly not professional but it made me chuckle.
Yeah good post, agree with it too.
Alan, is it possible to revert an article to a previous edit, or is that something only admins can do? (referring to the Landon Donovan article)
