FM 2009 on Vista

my laptop is on Window Vista..i have downloaded FM 2009 on it

strangely..there was no short cut provided on my desktop like I did have on my Window XP laptop...

but the problem is when I play it on computer with window vista..the game is often crash without reasons..it's just not responding and you have to close the game..

is there anything i can fix this? or should I play it on XP?

click on start menu should be in the games folder you will have to make a shortcut on your desktop urself, i had the same problem on 08 couldnt find it

To get a shortcut on the desktop:

Find the folder that the exe is in. Will be either C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Football Manager 2009\ or C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009

Then right click the fm.exe file and choose "send to desktop (create shortcut)"

hi all i have the same problem, everytime i get to the 1st pre season match it crashes, also using windows, cant find any work arounds on the forum, any advice, i have just tried re installing & running through steam.... no idea if itm will work? have not tried windowed mode, could this help?
