It happens almost in every game. Here is a picture to show an example. the picture was just an example to show with the arrows , dont mind the players in the field. sirdez24 Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 It's not just keepers - most clearances from defenders put players through as well. Fullbacks often hit 75-80 yard balls up the line that go over the opposition fullbacks head. The problem to me seems to be that while attacking players are moving goalwards as soon as the ball is hit, defenders seem to walk forward under the ball, before turning and chasing.
