  1. This was explained by the staff in a thread I can't find right now. The number of preset formations was reduced and the DM/CM positions were readjusted to better fit with AI behaviour. AI managers only use preset formations, and they basically cover 95% of what is used IRL. (even Marcelo Bielsa said there are only 10 different formations everyone uses a small variation of one of those)
  2. I notice that teammates cross a lot more to the TM
  3. I have used a TM/A in a flat 4-4-2. I reckon a gegenpress style works better than the traditional long ball style, though. You can start with the gegenpress preset and use a front pairing of DLF/S + TM/A for example.
  4. you need to check the league rules. i think it's two players on loan from the same club, and around 4 loans total but I'm not sure
  5. I did a DOF save back in FM21. He was a fan of wingers and I only had one right back. It was ok for short term squad building, but if you want to develop youngsters and have a truly balanced squad it's far from perfect. But it can be a fun challenge nonetheless.
  6. if it works for you, good. but I don't get why people insist on overloading every position with player instructions and also claim to be inexperienced at creating tactics. just use the simple roles and duties and start from the base presets. it works
  7. I think the Libero will move to the same space as the BWM And also you are perhaps funnelling play too much through the middle, there are no wide roles
  8. A good rule of thumb would be to base your tactic on a preset style. Let's say you want to create a high pressing tactic where your best players are the left wing back and the right winger. You load up the Gegenpress style and take a look into the TI and player roles. Then, you change the roles to get the best out of your two star players (e.g. CWB/a and IF/a) and then adapt some of the TI to encourage some movements involving those two players (e.g. "Focus play down the left", "Run at defence", or "Pass into space").
  9. Something that matches the region I'm managing in. When I did a Scandinavian tour I went by konungur jeriko
  10. I maxed out my youth recruitment as soon as I got the money to do it. Every year I get one or two 4-5* prospects and several 3-4*
  11. Your DOF thinks the offer is good, but might not be good enough to convince Charlotte FC
  12. I think these represent current job adverts, but I dont think they are playable roles, which means the practical effects are none.
  13. What is better for a youth player developing on loan? Loaning to a top team from the second tier -> expect higher match ratings but weaker level of competition Loaning to a bottom team from the top tier -> expect lower match ratings but stronger level of competition
  14. The thing that takes more processing time is playable leagues, because it generates match reports/stats/analysis/stats/etc. If you add e.g. "players from top clubs in Asia" the game will add those players and then it will create newgens for that same amount of players as the years advance.
