I'm so glad you asked about desktops as I too am on the lookout. Can't afford anything expensive, would prefer new but maybe I'll have to consider refurb. Windows 11, 16gb ram I think?, 256gb+ SSD, built in WiFi, hdmi port, at least 3 USB ports. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186019065019?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rr825vlQSbu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=95Kjy2uHT5O&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY thinking about this? Only play FM Touch and 2D graphics. Thoughts? Cheers.

I've been here before and got some great advice. I've tailored my requirements even closer though now. Still playing FM20 Touch, so don't need anything super powerful. Run 2 or 3 countries and about 8-10 divisions all in. Wanting a Windows 10 (64 bit) OS, 256 or 512gb SSD and either 8 or (preferably) 16gb ram - and a 14" screen. Laptop would mainly be plugged in, but will need a hdmi out socket as want to connect to monitor while im at home. I also only use 2d graphics. Thank you guys for any help, really appreciate it. Getting close to buying one as current pc is pretty slow now. Looking to spend no more than £400 really, but could potentially push it a touch further. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GSGV2C8?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_T7RJ2FZ75ASRHD6BCRPG_1 here's one that I quite like the look of, thoughts?

I'm not as active on here or on the game anymore, just don't get the time. But I think it's almost time for a new pc, and intrigued by the size of a mini pc. I only play FM Touch 2020, and watch in 2d. Would one of these Beelink mIni PC's be fine to play on please? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09V81NML4?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_WNCX5VYXB7M0Q9H1RSVN I tend to only run the 4 main English and Scottish leagues too, but as big a database as I can. Or, on the other hand would you suggest a laptop? My budget would be a maximum of £350. I would want an HDMI connection so I could hook it up to my monitor, also a minimum of 256 GB SSD. One further basic question, if I bought a laptop to run FMT20, is it possible to turn off the screen and still play through the attached monitor? Help greatly appreciated 👍

Thank you, I will 👍🏻

Another option, should I just get a £300 laptop and link it to my monitor? Can you have the screen off on the laptop while connected to the monitor? What should I look for in a laptop speedwise and RAM?

Wow, thoroughly detailed answer, love it! Thanks for that input. One thing I will add is that I only play Touch so don't have any Familiarity worries. You make some very good points though. Multiple tactics are something I've never really considered, certainly not differing styles within one team, but have done very recently, hence me asking the question. I do feel like you though that it probably is overkill, but similar style with a variation of tactics to suit the requirements at that given moment would be more beneficial. Thanks bud.

Do any of you have two (or more) different tactics and style of play for one team? Or do you just adjust the mentality / instructions of your chosen style depending on the opposition? Curious really as I'm at a crossroads with a new team. I've been in my current job for half a season and just going into my first couple of games of the new season but a few days remaining of the transfer window and finally have some money to spend after a few departures. Should I concentrate on one style of play and getting the best players possible to suit this? Usually in the second season the opposition tend to figure my tactics out, so just remaining cautious.
