  1. I saw this bug in Scotland in FM23 and I'm now seeing it with York in National League in FM24. My scouting was set to surrounding divisions and sufficient budget was allocated. But that budget started to disappear, and into December it is now into negative. I can't allocate a scout, but scouting is carrying on. They are scouting beyond the parameters I originally set, including bizarrely scouting players in Brazil and the US. It's worrying that a bug from FM23 is now more widespread. It will continue now eating at my finances, making it pretty much a game stopper.
  2. The Whitley loan shouldn't have been short-term as it was actually a season-long loan, but yes, it should have been cancelled when he was recalled due to the Stockdale injury - my oversight. On point 3, the FA do allow exemptions to the 28 day ruling for goalkeepers - this was specifically used in Whitley's case IRL. But that may be hard for SI to code in.
  3. I've had a few frustrations where a player wants a new contract, but their agent locks in a request such as 'Will play in Position A with Role B' that proves a blocker on the whole contract because it's not where he's been playing, or indeed a role in our system. So I really need to be able to tell him, and his team-mates if they get unhappy, "I'm not changing our entire system for one player". If he digs his heels in at that point, fine. But as it stands it feels like there's one little thing that, in real life, I'd explain to him "Your agent is blocking your new contract". In general, if there is one sticking point that an agent has locked in, I'd like the game to have the capacity for me to tell the player what the sticking point is. I had another example where the agent was trying to reduce the minimum release fee by a relatively small amount but had capped it so I couldn't even take it to the existing level.
