  1. Campobasso F.C. Season review Season 4 | 2027/2028 Serie B Transfers | Afiliates | Facilities | Manager Profile | Competitions overview Another good season! After our great campaign last year(5th place), this season we finished 7th. With 1 more point then last season. In the promotion playoffs we lost against Genoa in the first round. But I don't really mind, as promotion would be way too soon. I decided to give some youngsters a chance in the first team, and that turned out to be a good decision. Some of them are developing nicely. In the Coppa Italia we lost in the First Round against Udinese, the same team as we lost against last season. Our best player was again our Academy product Andrea Righi 24i. He scored 13 league goals for us, 6 assists and he had the highest average rating. But also a shoutout to Valerio De Prisco 26h, who came into the team around January or Februariy due to some injuries. But he played really well and I don't see any reason to put him back in our U20 squad. Looking at some more Academy players: Luca Cerullo 26f scored 8 league goals and is a first team player Giorgio Gasparoni 24b played almost every match as one of our DC's Matteo Giovannini 25b played a lot of matches on the MC position, scoring 3 goals Marco Di Carlo 27e played almost every match as MC, producing 4 goals and 2 assists. Most goals came from a direct free kick. I'm a bit worried though about his determination. After one full season he didn't progress much. And last but not least Manuel Marconcini 27d, who came in the team as a DR. He's a natural DL, but has a fairly strong right foot. So I decided to re-train him as a DR. He's doing a really good job, producing 5 assists, and is developing into a good player for us. Youth preview & intake Another good intake this year! The preview showed no less then 5 A's. The intake gave us 8 Elite Talents. Some of then look really talented! Facility upgrades We managed to upgrade our Youth Recruitment again, so it's now labelled as Excellent. But a big dissapointment was the message right after the season, that our Youth Facilities have been downgraded They are now Below Average. And we don't have the money to upgrade it again soon. Career progress
  2. Campobasso F.C. Season review Season 3 | 2026/2027 Serie B Transfers | Afiliates | Facilities | Manager Profile | Competitions overview Our first season in this league, and what a season it was! We performed far above expectations, and finished 5th in the league. Only 9 points away from direct promotion. One of our biggest results was our 5-0 win against Sampdoria, as I posted here yesterday. Sampdoria had a really disastrous season, as they are relegated to Serie C. With our 5th place we qualified for the play-offs for promotion. But here we lost against Pisa. Palermo eventually got promoted to Serie A. In the Coppa Italia we lost in the First Round against Serie A team Udinese. Our topscorer this season was Andrea Righi 24i, who scored 12 league goals. Not bad for an 18 year old. He's developing nicely and is a first team player now. But also midfielders Mathieu Coquin and Zakaria Sdaigui, our goalkeeper Giacomo Di Donato, defender Christian Bonacchi and striker Alban Jakaj played great this season. Our U18 team had a fantastic season. They finished 1st in Campionato Nazionale U17 Serie A/B, and qualified for the playoffs. They eventually lost in the Final against Internazionale U18. What a fantastic season for our youth team! Youth preview and intake I hired a new HoYD: Romeo Jozak. I know this guy from previous saves. His first intake was a good one! The preview showed 5 A's, and the actual intake didn't dissapoint. No less then 9 Elite Talents. I decided to design my own AI generated player faces(I used getimg.ai), based on their original face. I'm quite happy with it. I used FMUgens Megapack for a long time, but I dislike a lot of their faces. So I'll try this for the time being. Upgrades The board was willing to upgrade Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment twice. At the end of last season(25/26) I was able to upgrade our Training Facilities again, so they are back at Average level. I forgot to take a screenshot of it. Progress
  3. Season review Season 2 | 2025/2026 Serie C / Girone C Transfers | Afiliates | Facilities | Manager Profile | Competitions overview What a great season this was!! As posted earlier; we were 8 points clear halfway the season. And we continued our good form. We only lost 4 matches this season, and won the league with 8 points ahead of the nr 2 Catania. Fantastic stuff! So we are promoted to Serie B! It's the first time in FM for me that I got promoted to Serie B, in quite some attempts. So I'm very happy with this! So Campobasso will play Serie B football since almost 40 years, since their relegation from the Serie B in 1986-1987. A great moment for the Molise region. After the league was finished, we were qualified for the Italian Serie C Super Cup. I decided to give some youngsters a chance, but the result of this was that we failed to win against Atalanta U23 and Virtus Antella. But overall we can look back at a fantastic season! Best players this season were striker Lorenzo Persichini, right wingback Danny Pacillo, midfielder Zakaria Sdaigui, midifielder Luis Maldonado, left wingback Marios Chrysovergis and striker Alban Jakaj. I also gave some youngsters some playing time. Most notable ones are Mattia Paparo 25k, Simone Gravina 25a and Andrea Righi 24i. Youth preview & intake The preview was good, and the intake also looks like a good one! Some talented youngsters in this intake.
  4. Halfway season 2025/2026 with Campobasso, and life is good in southern Italy! We are 8 points clear, so hopefully we can continue our good form. We won our last 8 league matches! So yeah, I don't see any reason why we can't continue this. We also figured in the Coppa Italia for the first time, but we lost against Ascoli. The Serie C Cup is not important for me, and for our board neither. So I always play with backup players and youngsters in these matches. So it's not strange that we lost against Foggia. We also got a new youth intake preview from my HoYD Toni Savevski, and according to him it will be a Golden Intake. Let's hope so!
  5. Campobasso Football Club Season 1 | 2024/2025 Serie C/Girone C Transfers | Facilities | My first season with Campobasso went really well! We finished 2nd in the Serie C Girone C, so it was a really good season for us. We challenged for the league title for a very long time, but overall I'm very happy. With this 2nd place we qualified for the Qtr Final of the Play-offs. We met Padova, who finished 6th in the Serie C Girone A. Away we played 4-4, and at home we draw 3-3. But we managed to qualify for the Semi Finals because of a higher seed. In the Semi Finals we played against Ascoli, who finished 2nd in the Serie C Girone B. Away we played 2-2, and at home 1-1, but we lost after penalties. So we nearly qualified for the Play off Finals in our first season! Best players this season were: Alban Jakaj, the young Kosovan striker who scored 17 goals in total. Alessio De Cerchio, our creative midfielder and bossed our midfield, together with Zakaria Sdaigui Alessio Rasi, our leftback with 14 assists in total Lorenzo Persichini, one of our strikers, and our MVP with 14 assists and 9 goals in total Youth preview and intake The intake wasn't that good, although it is our very first intake preview. The actual intake, with Toni Savevski as our HoYD, gave us one Elite Talent and a handfull of Top Talents. Some of them looks quite promising, so let's see how they will develop. Upgrades As our finances were quite good, I was able to get some very welcome upgrades. Junior Coaching budget twice and Youth Recruitment once, and an upgrade of our Youth Facilities. Unfortunately our Training Facilities were downgraded at the end of the season, due to technological advances. Hopefully I'm able to upgrade the Training Facilities again.
  6. I also decided to give Italy a go. I try a save in Italy every year, but it's such a difficult country for this challenge. There are many, many nice clubs to choose from. But most clubs don't have good finances, so it's very hard to upgrade facilities to get some nices intakes. And the Serie C is a very difficult league to get out of. But I think I have found my club: Campobasso Football Club. A nice badge, nice kits, a good background story. It's a club from a region(Molise) without any big football clubs. And their finances are quite healthy for this level. Some good sponsor deals, and also a very big stadium(25K seats). The club got American owners, so let's see if that will help a bit.
  7. Congrats, @Perre8 You're the first one who complete it in Austria!
  8. Well, this was not what I expected. I became champion of the Fortuna 1. Liga(Tier 2), but almost every player at the club was unhappy. Most of them because they want to play at a higher level. And they are all leaving the club in the summer, because they are not willing to sign a new deal. Also not after we became champions. Then some others are just too old, and their attributes are declining fast. If I was continuing this save, I had to promote almost every youngster from our first intake to the first squad. But the intake was terrible, with lots of crap players. So unfortunately I quit with this save. I just really like the idea of this club (the owner was throwing money at us for fun!), but a squad full of 15 and 16 year old kids, on the highest level of Poland...that's not gonna work. Maybe I'll continue this save, but then as a 'normal save', and not a Youth Only. I'm now back at IFK Malmö, but I'm also looking for a new adventure somewhere else.
  9. Wieczysta Kraków Well, another new save for me. But I couldn't resist it. I enjoyed my save with IFK Malmö, and will probably continue if I'll fail with this one. But I came across this club, and really wanted to try a save with it. First of all: I love managing in Poland. I had a great save in FM22 with Garbarnia Krakow. So I always wanted to come back at some point. On Twitter/X I came across a blogpost from Fuller_FM. He wrote a fantastic prologue about this club, and the start of his save. And I was completely intrigued by the story of this club. I'll quote the story about this club from the blogpost of Chris Fuller_FM: So, the most interesting part for me is about the owner of the club: Wojciech Kwiecien. A rich businessman who puts a lot of money in the club. I immidiately checked the club in Football Manager, and saw that the club has lots of money, for such a small club. So that was what triggered me to try a save with this club. I had to holiday for two seasons to get them promoted to Fortuna 1. Liga. I had to reload many, many times. First to get them promoted to Tier 3, and then lots of times to get them promoted to Tier 2. So I was very happy that the club finally popped up. So here we are! Back in Poland, and also back in Krakow. A funny thing is: I follow Garbarnia Krakow in real life on their socials, because of my save with them a couple of years ago. And last weekend both clubs played against eachother. Wieczysta won the match with 4-0. I saw the result on Twitter/X, and checked the table to see that Wieczysta is topping the table. At that moment I didn't know that I was starting a save with the club, just a couple of days later. I love the club colours: yellow and black. I made some fantasy kits, based on their club colours in FM. The squad is a bit old, but there are some very good players. Jacek Góralski, Michał Trąbka, Christoph Knasmüllner and Simeon Slavchev for example. The Finances are very healthy at the start of the save. So, let the good times roll!
  10. IFK Malmö Season 1 | 2025 Tier 4 |Division 2 Södra Götaland Finances| Transfers| Club Overview | Affiliates| Squad overview |Tactic| Facilities| Manager Profile My first season, and it was a good one. We became champions of Division 2 Södra Götaland, so we are promoted to Tier 3! I had a small squad, with only 18 players to chose from. But some of them were really good this season! My striker Edgar Navassardian for example. He scored 32 goals in 23 matches! And he's only 21 years old, so hopefully he can even improve a bit. And what about midfielder Passi Prudence; he really bossed our midfield with his 199cm tall body. I'm really happy about this season! Youth preview & intake Ouch...this preview is.... not good. But hey, what can I expect with such limited facilities? The intake itself was also not a good one. No Elite players, only 3 Top Talents. But I'm just really happy with 16 extra players at the club. Let's hope that some of them will develop into, at least, squad players. U19's They didn't play any league games this season. Facilities Upgrades Our first upgrades of the save! The facilities at this club are very, very basic. If you compare that to our very big stadium... the contrast cannot be any bigger. So I'm happy with these first upgrades. I think that our next 2 of 3 intakes will still be quite bad, but that's just how it is. Trophy Cabinet 2025: Division 2 Södra Götaland Progress
  11. Oh, and for people who want to try this challenge in Finland: the league structure has changed from Season 2024. There is a complete new league added, so that means that there are now three playable leagues in Finland( instead of 2). So if you want to play in Finland, you'll start a division lower.
  12. IFK Malmö FK Well, here we go again! It's a long time since my last attempt here. I had a great (youth only) journeyman-save since then, but after the Winter Update I got the itch to try a youth only save again. My first FM24-save was with IFK Lidingo in Sweden. I had a great time in Sweden, so I'll give it another go in that country. As the 2024 season almost starts in real life, I holidayed until the start of season 2025. I chose IFK Malmö FK, who relegated in real life in season 2023. Some history about the club, from Wikipedia: So it's the oldest club from Malmö, and even participated on the higest level of Sweden for several seasons. They even played European football, although it's a long time ago. Their home stadium is Malmö Stadium, a very big stadium with a capacity of 26.500(!) (or 27.500, according to FM). Let's go!
