  1. No worries, files uploading now called the following: Robioto - Millwall Mortgage Loan (before).fm Robioto - Millwall Mortgage Loan (after).fm
  2. The same has just happened to me. £38M Mortgage Loan for no reason (my finances are fine) and my balance has not changed. I have saves before and after. I'll try and share. @Michael Sant
  3. Any chance the role requirement for loan players could be completely scrapped? Managers demanding a position I get, but this is too far and makes loaning players needlessly restrictive. I have two examples on my current save with Yeovil Town (I'm in the National League). 1. Striker on loan from Aston Villa - Is the best player in the league, has over 25 league goals by January playing as a Pressing Forward, I get barraged by the Aston Vila manager saying I agreed to play him as a Poacher. Wants to recall the loan in January... Completely ignoring the success of the loan and the player's huge attribute development over the first half of the season 2. Defensive Midfielder on loan from Norwich - Playing every match, is the engine room of my midfield often scoring goals desspite his deep role. Hugely successful loan spell. Norwich manager losing the plot becuase I'm playing him as an Anchor and not a Ball Winning Midfielder. Development has been huge too. Now, I know I will be told "you agreed to this" and I accept that, what I don't accept is the terrible logic behind Emery and Farke constantly perstering me about the role the the players are being used in, it just doesn't work properly and kind of epitomises the logic in FM these days. In the meantime I'm deciding whether to buy the editor and change the loans to not being non-recallable or whether I press on with the save frustrated with the game, or of course, just give up altogether. Crap like this ruins saves every single year and it always hinges on player and manager interaction and the game having, or at least feel like having, one layer of logic in place when it comes to instances like this. The game logic or AI never see the bigger picture, whether that is loans, player interactions, manager interactions, media interactions... it's just terrible as it always has been since it was introduced. What's frustrating, is the player interactions was a big part of the marketing push, yet the AI behind it is just as terrible as ever. I hate hitting continue and seeing "Player A has a problem", it's lottery time, who knows how the player will react as there is no sensible logic behind it. So I save scum these interactions. The fact that improving player interactions was touted as a big marketing point of the game is wholey dishonest and this seems to be a recurrring trend with each FM release...
  4. This is very reassuring, thank you. I hope these tweaks and fixes are made for the full release next Tuesday, especially as they formed a large chunk of the marketing for FM2024.
  5. I hope you're right, but this wouldn't be the first time promises were broken. So I'll wait and see.
  6. This is hugely disappointing. It seems a lot of these promises for FM24 are unfulfilled, it's incredibly frustrating
  7. Wow, I've been so disappointed with FM2023, I've been extremely vocal about my thoughts on the stagnation of the series and have kind of reached the end of my tether with the series. But... I did not expect this news and I'm absolutely delighted. Can't wait to hear more about FM24 and 25. This is fantastic and exciting news.
  8. This is by far my biggest issue, features that were shoved in uyears ago still don't work properly and fundemental features like youth development, manager AI, media/player interaction, scouting and the match engine are falling apart of the seams. Marketing friendly fluff features take priority to shift the latest game while fundemetanl systems remain largely untouched or at best tweaked. This is what happens in an monopoly, it's no different to the state of FIFA.
  9. This is a major issue, it's been like it for two games now effectively making them worthless to me. So this confirms that FM2023 will never be fixed. Player/youth development is not a small thing that should just be brushed over. Perhaps SI should spend more time on fixing what is already there in key modules, than spending time on yet more fluff features which add very little to the experience other than a few more screens, often just showing the same information in a different way. Although I won't hold my breath, no competition and favourable reviews on Steam means pockets will be lined regardless of the quality and funtionality of the fundemental systems of the game... So marketing friendly fluff features will prosper. It's a sad state of affairs. Sorry for the rant, but the direction FM has taken over the past decade is depressing as a long time fan, it's stagnant and the newer games are in many ways, fundemetally worse than games which came years before.
  10. Some of these findings are worse than my own. I think it may have to be back to FM21...
  11. Hi there, I just wanted to add my own 10 year holiday game test with you too to compliment @abcdf 's findings. Here is an overview of the average squad age in the top 5 leagues and thier highest reputation teams: This was run with these 5 countries loaded in full detail with a medium database. Some bullet points: - Loans of young players have improved - Of the 19 teams above the average squad age increased by 2 years - Of the 19 teams above there were only three players in their teens in the match day squads - It seems players playing well into thier late 30s has decreased, but squads are still too old. - National teams still have a issues where older players with high reputation get call ups over young players, ending up with aging National team squads - Reputation is still too powerful and the AI is still not realistically developing and utilising young players I am happy to upload the saved game if that helps.
  12. Perhaps read this thread and the feedback thread for more context? I'm not here to baby you through this. I'm just trying to build a picture of where SI are with youth development in long term saves for my own benefit and decided to share with the community too.
  13. I get it's a small sample size, but for my own benefit I wanted to run a 10 year holiday game to see if the issue looked fixed and I decided to share with the community too. You've also got to start somewhere... However, it's pretty clear from this top level look that there are still issues either the AI, reputation, older players dominating, national team selection and most importantly youth development. Things do seem to have improved though, but it is far from perfect, but playable enough for me to start my annual long term save, which was my objective with this. It will be interesting to see what others see over the coming weeks. I ran all the top 5 countries in full detail, with all divisions loaded on medium database. I could have done more, but I wanted to finish running it last night, which took approximately 5-6 hours on my system.
